Awards, anyone?

Here's an idea that just popped into my head.

Awards.

Every year we could come up with awards and different types of awards for people. Like an awards show. But, it would go to the user and not a character.

Like say:
Best Posts
Best Templates
Best Characters
Most Detailed Characters
Most Interesting Characters
Most Complex Characters
Nicest Member
Most Friendly
Smartest (?)


etc.

What do you think?

Pip likes this idea. But, Pip dosn't know why Pip is talking in the third person. Anyway, I'd really like this. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's kinda like the whole 'memeber of the month' think, and the would alternate each month, right?

The only thing is that people who choose them might choose their favorite person, and not someone that really deserves it.

people could nominate and the admins and mods could go through the nominees and revise and make sure that it's legit and then maybe we could provide some examples and then have the members vote on them. then it'll be announced and we could have a ceremony. :D

I've seen these done before on sites. I can sense possible issues and conflicts, but I have a feeling if this is ran correctly, we will be able to pull this off. After all, wouldn't it be nice to recognize those in our community whom have done awesome stuff? I was only shaky about member of the month before because it's restricted to one member per month out of a large site. This annual awards thing allows for multiple members to be recognized for different feats they have accomplished, whenever it be for lovely posts or a hilarious character. Plus it seems like a great way to end each year by looking back on great stuff the site has seen come from members.

How about [[to make it fair]] people could only win an award once. Like, for Camp Hearthrob, Jeff could win it once, but couldn't win it again. But Jeff's creator could win it with other characters? And for ones like Best posts, the person with best posts could only win it once in a year or something? Providing this is a monthly thing.

I think people should win as many awards as they can. :p But, that's just me. I'll talk about this with the staff. :) *excitement*
