| If I could stop one heart from breaking, I'll surely and definitely would not die in vain.......Then it's a hopeless cause then, because I can't stop my own heart from shattering... •||xian||baker|| • grandchild of Demeter and Thanatos Cold. It was very cold, Xian Baker mused. As he trudged down the snowy ground, his pale grey Converse shoes crunches down the small snow piles that built up. He had admired the effort made by the Khione children, and as a pleasing reward, he found it only wise to appreciate it by walking down the snow park. He never did like snow, because flowers never grew in it and whenever it was on the ground. So particularly, he wasn't usually seen around here, except now.
Head hung low and the tip of his nose a cute shade of pink, Xian shoved his pale hands into his pockets. Careful not to tread on anyone and anything alike, he kept his blue eyes down to his feet. Ghosts seemed oblivious to people as they are to them, trudging through already built snowmans and carefully wrapped bodies. Xian on the other hand seemed to turn sharply to the left or right, trying to avoid uncalled for collisions with the spirits. You couldn't even tell why he was being strange if you dent know of his condition. At the back of his mind, Xian thought over and over again how ghost seemingly didn't know of the end of their fate. For them, they are jst living a particular moment in their life over and over again. Stuck in the same repetitive scenery as everyone true changed. He envied them.
Giving up trying to show anymore signs of respect, he sat down on a fallen log- or he thought it was a log- brushed off the snow mound that built on top of it. Knees adjacent to his chest, he placed his hands on top of them- facing up- and he pushed his head down, feeling weak. Maybe it was the lack of plants, he thought bitterly. The sun hid under the low blanket of grey clouds, and only stray rays of sunshine ran down on his pale figure. Good think he was wearing a scarf, or else he'd be getting frost bite, or gone crazy with the lack of heat. Xian breathed in carefully, and a small hibiscus plant grew tall and proud from the layer of snow. And for a while, ge felt content, complete when he felt the plant bloom.
But it was short lived, when pain, horrid pain shot through his whole body, causing him to freeze and shake, convulsing slightly. Blinding, he dug his teeth on his lower lip until he drew blood. Knuckles white, he banged his head on them. Until the pain slowly, intensly torturingly slow, slip away from hissystem. Xian coughed and spat blood on the snow, and he looked as the crimson looked so good with the blinding white snow. He looked again to the hibiscus plant and gave a relaxed grin. With the beauty of snow, he still liked the color of spring. He lifted his cheek for an uneven smile and placed his head back to his hands on his lap.
Cold. Xian mused. It was so cold. “” “” | |

| K E N D R A || shen || N A K A M A ;; a t h e n a The day was chilly, almost freezing to many of those in the snowman park as they continuously created snowmen from the light snow. However, not to Kendra Nakama. Some would consider that she was immune to cold just as the Khione children were, but others say that her heart and soul were much colder that the weather itself. However, it was simply the fact that the daughter of Athena rather enjoyed snow. It was cold, yes, but it was the pureness of white that she enjoyed.
However she also envied the snow itself. It was pure; that was why she enjoyed it. But that is also the reason why she hated it from the bottom of her heart. Sometimes, Kendra wished, prayed, and once even begged the gods that she would appear as pure as the snow was to her father. Her brothers seemed to reach that goal of her's as easily as a child of Dionysus could conjure up a glass of wine. So in short, rather easily. Now glaring at the snow with her hardened grey eyes, Kendra raised her head and began to walk back towards her cabin. She was only in the Snowman Park to see what the Khione campers had created for this month's festival, not to exactly enjoy it. She never enjoys things nowadays anyway.
Tucking her long light pink hair behind her ear, Kendra scanned the park in search for her dog. Ryoku could have been anywhere. Being the vigorous young German shepherd that he was, Kendra concluded that he probably would be running around a group or snowmen barking at them. Turning her head, Kendra found her hypothesis to be correct finding Ryoku barking rather loudly at a round smiling snowman. The young dog snarled and bared his bright white teeth at them, which Kendra found highly amusing. Shaking her head, the daughter of Athena began her brisk walk toward him.
The moment he noticed his good companion's figure coming towards him, Ryoku bounded towards her. However, suddenly he froze having an uneasy feeling come over him. Something wasn't right, he concluded. The German shepherd's ears pricked up, hearing the strained cough of another demigod. Immediately realizing that the person more or less needed help, Ryoku ran towards the source of the coughing. Kendra simply followed calmly, knowing that if her dog ran off suddenly, it was because of a good reason. Zipping her white denim jacket halfway, Kendra followed Ryoku's trail on the snow.
As she walked, Kendra noticed that her black boots made tracks themselves. Looking at the white snow ahead of her, Kendra didn't bother to notice that she had almost reached where Ryoku had stopped. She was simply consumed in studying the pure white snow. However, a bright red splotch on the white ground caught her attention. Furrowing her eyebrows, Kendra then looked up to find Ryoku sitting next to a boy. The boy seemed to be preoccupied in staring at a plant that seemed out of place in the snow, and he was smiling. Raising an eyebrow, Kendra simply stood there with a grim expression, staring at the boy who had evidently coughed blood on the pure snow. As her brow rose, a gust of wind blew, her pink hair blowing slightly. To most it was cold, but to Kendra, it was a warm summer breeze that had no effect on her.
