Skye wasn't sure what she was doing at the ice skating rink. Maybe she had hoped the coolness and the ice would bring her comfort on Jared. Or maybe she even hoped, deep inside, she would find him there. It had been awhile since she had seen him. She even wondered if he was alive. Even the sheer thought of his death made her put her face in her hands.

I am not going to lie. I have found myself in the dumpster of a club five nights in a row since I found out Skye was cheating. Dumpsters are surprisingly cozy. I was listening to Steppenwolf, and decided, pshhhhh, I don't need Skye. If she decided to cheat then I'm coolio with that. I got a girl like Rachel without even trying before, it shouldn't be that hard right?... Right?... not exactly reassuring when you expect an answer from yourself, and you don't know the answer.

I sighed, finding myself strapping on rental skates. Yes I did not own my own skates, not ever Khione kid likes to skate. Slipping and sliding on the ice, bumping into the railing. All that stuff about love and junk is not true... I wish I could just be single and not suffer the possibility of heartbreak. When Skye left, I was heartbroken, when Rachel left, I was heart broken, when I found out Skye cheated, well, my heart's already kinda in my trash bin.

She looked around as she felt a sudden change in the room. And sure enough, there was Jared. Struggling on skates. Skye almost laughed, finding it odd a Khione kid would have issues with ice skating. Then again, she realized not all of her campers were fond of water, so she left that issue alone. Carefully, she got to her feet and onto the ice. Skye was a pretty average skater, not necessarily great. Her short time in New York was where she learned, but it was only short.

After a little minute of composing herself, not sure how she would react, she decided to lay the hurt and defeated card. It was the only thing that came to her mind. Because after all, she hadn't wanted any of what happened with that boy to actually happen. She wouldn't admit it, but Skye had a small amount of alcohol that night. She had gotten it from a Dionysus kid, hoping it settled her issue. Alas, that didn't help, it only gave her more problems.

Skye finally reached him, and held onto the railing in fron of him. She didn't say a word, only letting out a small sigh. She let her eyes do the talking, those green eyes that resembled the ocean. Skye wasn't very good at doing those types of things, manipulating people, or even convincing them, so she figured that was her best shot. She wanted him to know she was upset it happened, she was sorry, and she still loved him.

Then again, she wasn't sure if he would forgive her. She knew he had a difficult past, she knew he had experienced a lot of pain. She knew these things, yet she still did them. Why? Because she was drunk. Alcohol wasn't a usual for her, she hardly drank it, only once with Jared, and we all saw where this second try went.

Why do I even need girls? I can be gay... ish. I totally don't need girls, I mean, serio-Just then I saw a beautiful girl skate next to me.... yeah I'm not gay. But maybe I can just... be single, die alone. Seems nice. UGH! SKYE SUCKS!

Oh speak of the devil. Although she was hot as ever, she should pay for what she did... An eye roll later I was sliding say from her. I decided to show her what she was missing. Hmmm cute girls... cute... girls... OOO! Aphrodite Daughter... loving it. I decided to cheat, using my manipulation of the ice to keep me balanced all the time. I skated like a champ towards the girl leaning against the barrier and smiled at her. Skye, eat your heart out.

"Hi, Jared. You?" I asked, extending my hand. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow before giving me a warm smile.

Skye raised an eyebrow. She leaned her elbows against the railing, leaning back on the bottom of her skates. This was going to be entertaining. Flirting? Let's see how far he goes with her standing right there. Surely this girl wouldn't last. Just to be funny, Skye skated over to the couple and said, "Jared, I think your fiancé wants to talk to you." She watched the look on the girls face before she laughed. "But, Jared, I really do need to talk to you," she said, lowering her tone as she gently nudged the girl away from them.

She was almost positive it wouldn't work, but she had to give it a shot. She had nothing to lose.

"B-B-B-Buuhhhh? I don't have a fiancee!" I made an intelligible sound, looking at that nice arse as it skated away. I groaned and slammed my head on the railing, lightly pounding my fist against it. That... unngghhh... she was so hot. I stood up and faced Sky.

"What!!??" I asked, angry that even though it was clear she was interested in another man, she can't let me continue on with my life. "Is this how you try and redeem yourself? Tearing me away from the grasp of another possible chance of love? It seems nothing will sate your insatiable hunger to ruin my life and humiliate me at every turn. Hmph," I grunted.

Sarcasm was starting to boil. "OH, YES, JARED! That's exactly what I'm set out to do. Set out to make both of our lives miserable. Even MORE miserable than they already are! I hope you know that what happened that night at The Halloween Costume Ball was all because I was drunk and needed comfort from my demons because no one else would! I can't tackle these things on my own!" she practically yells at him.

It wasn't enough for her. It was hard for her, all of the depression. She had lived without help for too long. Longer than what was healthy. Immediately after she processed what she said, she regretted it. She wanted to take it all back and handle the pain, but that was too late now. No going back. Maybe if she would of thought more, she wouldn't have made herself sound like such a fool.

She had hoped he would at least listen to her. Otherwise, she would probably lose the love of her life.

I waved her argument off with a swipe of the hand. "Demons? Bah! You know no meaning of the word. You were drunk and needed some comfort? Please! This incessant drivel you call, an "argument", serves no purpose to either of us. Next thing you know you will be telling me you were trying to make me jealous! Whether you like it or not, I. Am. Not. In. Love. With. You. Anymore! So leave me be!" I shouted. Her, trying to justify herself. Pfft.

"My friends were right. Love is meaningless, agh! Women should be categorized as a different species! Homo Enigma would suffice. My brother was right, his words make sense, 'Never fall in love Jared Frost, for only a path of sorrow and betrayal lies ahead of you' And By Jove he was right! Love is unneeded, and I can assure you, I shall never love again Aphrodite, curse me if you will, but I shall NEVER love again! Work will take up my hours, not trying to think of any way to please my lover! Gah!" I shouted to... to the world basically. To myself.

Skye shrugged. "Well, Jared. It was nice knowing you. See you in hell," she said, throwing off her ring at his feet. No more love for her. She wasn't going to care anymore. Maybe she would focus on her cabin more, she had no clue.
