Reading.(cherry, open) Cute-four-year-old-girl-thumb10767840

I sat on the ground and pulled a book out of my pack. It was a dictionary. Tika sunbathed next to me. I studied the words carefully. Most people would find it odd to see a child read a dictionary but to I loved it. Tika purred. I patted her and scratched her behind her ears. Just then, someone literally stepped on me! Tika jumped at the person and began to claw at them.

I backed away, cats dogs, they were all the same. "OH MY GODS GET THE HADES OFF ME!" I screamed. I hated those little things, every single time I go near one, they seem to just hate me. I removed the cat from me. Marks, marks everywhere. My arm burned from mark on my arm.. holy crap. I looked at the old wound. Blood, goddamnit. Blood.

I screamed. The girl was bleeding! I grabbed a bandaid from my pack and offered it to her. "I'm so sorry! Tika isn't usually like this!"

I bent down to her level. “It’s okay, just a little scratch, that’s all. I guess that animals and I don’t exactly mix.” I tried to keep the cut away from her direction. As blood was pretty much gushing out. I patted her head with my other hand and stood back up. I was definitely not happy, but I didn’t see a point in yelling at a kid her age, after all, it was her cat, not her. I smiled to look convincing. Just a light tug on the lips. The cut was really burning now, and I removed my watch from my left hand, the blood was already on it. Remind me to get a new watch next time I make a trip to NYC.

"Tika didn't mean to. She's just a felis catus." I watched her smile. "oh good! What's your name?" I asked her. I wiggled my eyebrows, a trick I had spent hours in front of a mirror learning.

The little girl was cute. "My name's Korina." I said with a smile. "What's yours?" I said as I ignored the pain shooting through my veins. I flinched slightly from the pain, but tried not to make it so obvious that it hurt. I didn't wanna scare the kid off.

I took a deep breath and shouted "my name is April Weber! Age 5! Daughter of Clio, the muse of history!" I put my hands on my hips. I gave her look that said "Now top that!".

I smiled at her challenge. It was rather cute. “My name is Korina Walker, born January 11th, 1995, Daughter of Apollo.” I sang. It was a little erm, you know that part ‘I got them m-o-o-o-o-o-ves like jagger’ part from the song moves like jagger? It was somewhere along the lines of that.

I grinned at her. The tune reminded me of a song I had heard... "The members of Maroon 5 all attended Brentwood School. The original name of the group was Kara's Flowers. The name was taken from a girl the members all had a crush on. The-" I stopped. I was doing it again! "Sorry! Photographic Memory. I'll basically read anything I can get my hands on." I explained. I hoped I wasn't blushing too much...

I smiled and patted her head.

"Someone who remembers songs they hear. Nice. Now I gotta get this cut fixed, it's starting to numb, and I need stiches to replace the ones from before."

I didn't want to scare her by telling her that it was already infected. As from her prevoius reaction, clearly stated that she didn't like seeing blood. Much less blood that was gushing out of a wound.

She was a rather sweet little girl, a harmless one. It was just her cat. Those wretched animals always attacked me whenever they could. Blast those miscrients.

I frowned. "Oh my! Do you want me to um... Ooh! If you show me your cut I bet I'll know how to treat it! I read a book on medicine last year." I said nodding. Tika hissed. "Tika, no!" I said sternly. Or at least as stern as someone my age can be.
