Shopping. {T W I S T E D}

Dylan wrinkled his nose. "What's her problem, anyway? She seems so... Cold, I guess? Not at all what I'd think Apollo would go for." He walked over to the bed and sat down. "Wanna chat for a while?"

"She's a retired... ermm. Model. I guess she used to be alot nicer when Apollo met the woman. But she pays the bills, I keep out of her way. Thats how this 'family' works." I said. I sat down on the bed beside him. "Yeah sure. I don't have anything else to do anyways." I reply.

Dylan patted Korina on the back. "That would explain the arrogance. So where ya been? I haven't seen you around camp for a while."

"I don't know. I guess I've been avoiding the weather in the Apollo cabin." I told him. I hated the cold weather sometimes. Scratch that. Most of the time. Most people didn't like the cold weather either. Heck, who did?

Dylan laughed. "Same. The Hera cabin is Surprisingly warm. I've only been out a few times in these past weeks, just to sneak off campus for dates." He blushed a little. "Totally worth the cold."

I laughed at him. "Someone's getting his hopes up." I said jokingly. I blushed as I realized that I was flirting. I hoped he didn't get this the wrong way and stuff. It would make thing really awkward right now. Because he probrably liked someone else right?

Dylan blushed a bright red. "Am not! Kadeyn likes me too! We've gone to movies, gone for walks, sometimes just sat and talked." He realized he was getting a bit flustered and tried to calm down.

I stiffled laughter at his reaction. "Her name's Kaydeyn eh?" I teased. It was nice to have a laugh now and them right? This was kinda fun. I guess.

Dylan blushed again, and looked at his feet. "Umm... Kadeyn's... not... a..." He froze up. Most people at camp were fairly open minded, but he still had to be careful. Especially in a situation like this, where he was depending on Korina for a place to stay. "Girl..."

I smiled at him. "That cool. I've never actually met someone homosexual before. Thats cool though. You're brave enough to tell people. Some people are scared of telling others." I say. He seemed shy about telling me though. Maybe he was scared that I would judge him or something.

Dylan glanced up and smiled. "That's good. He's really sweet." Dylan grinned. "And really cute. And really shy sometimes. And if we're watching a scary movie he- I'm sorry, I'm gushing." He blushed again.

I smield at him. "No, it's fine. I get it." I say. It was rather ironic to me. He was younger and... homosexual. Not that I was judging him. And yet, I haven't even found someone yet. I've never even gone on a date before.

Dylan sat a little taller. "Can you show me around a little? I'd like to be able to find things, like say, the bathroom, if I need to." He smiled.

"Yeah, sure." I said getting up. I walked down the hall to the door at the end. "This is the washroom." I told him. "The 1st, 2nd, and 5th are rooms you can walk into, but the other ones are off limits. Mainly because they're rooms. Remember to stay away from the kitchen when my mom's cooking. And try to eat all of it. Even though it's not your favourite food in the world." I tell him. It was pretty much all he needed to know. I guess.

Dylan smiled. "I'll keep that in mind. S'cuse me for a moment. I have to use the bathroom." He slipped inside the door. A few minutes later, he stepped out again. "So when do you think dinner will be ready?"

I shrugged. "Soon. She doesn't take long to make dinner." I told him. "Dinner's ready!" My mom shouted. "And there you go." I said sarcastically. She was so pushy at times. I wished that Apollo could've chosen someone better.

Dylan followed Korina into the dining room. He smiled at Ms. Walker and looked down at the food. "It smells delicious." He grinned. "Thank you for having me, ma'am."

"Oh, you're welcome here anytime." Mom said with that too familiar smile. The one that everyone fell for while she was judging you. Only I knew about it. It was so... real. Yet it was so mean to be judging others. I just sat there and ate. Ignoring her.

Dylan sat down at the table- after Ms. Walker and Korina- and ate slowly. The food was, in truth, pretty good. Dylan overstated that a bit, though. He made sure not to sound too enthusiastic, though. Ms. Walker did not seem like a dumb woman at all. He made casual conversation in between bites, and did his best to seem relaxed, though the tension between Ms. Walker and Korina hung heavy in the air.

We finished dinner and my mom was loading the dishes into the dishwasher. I normally didn't go to sleep till around 10 or 11. So there was still time. I looked over at him. "You wanna watch a movie?" I asked him.

"Sure! Whatcha got?" Dylan smiled. 'I haven't seen anything in a while. Last thing was, Iunno, some superhero movie."
