The horse, who I had nicknamed Ebony - not the most original name, I'd admit, but it suited her well - trotted with me on her back. I was clinging to her as if my life depended on it, and she seemed to sense my fear. Instead of bucking me off though, which was what I expected, she just kept going calmly. "Okay, stop here, Ebony," I murmured. "We've got to wait for Star."

I named my horse Brownie. I know it was a strange name... So Brownie kept galloping and I pulled on the reins and stopped her a bit. I saw Evadne and Brownie started to gallop again until I reached her. "Hello Evadne." I said in my light british accent.

"Hey Star," I smiled. "Where do you want to go? It's pretty limited, because the horses are only limited to the ground, but maybe...the clearing at the end of the forest?" I tilted my head slightly in question.

"The end of the forest is alright," I replied, with a smile as I strocked Brownie's mane. "I nicknamed him Brownie. I know it's silly what did you nickname your horse?" I asked Evadne as Brownie slowly trotted.

"Brownie is such a cute name," I grinned. "It suits her well. This-" I patted my sleek black horse on the side fondly, "- is Ebony." She whinnied in response, and I laughed. "Do you think we might kill ourselves if we raced to the clearing? Or only suffer a few broken bones?"

"Ebony is a pretty name," I said, smiling at Ebony. I looked at Evadne with fear in my eyes. "Hmmm, we probably will, but it's worth a try, I'll race you there!" I cried as I pulled the reins on Brownie and he trotted to the clearing.

"Oh, you did not just try to leave me behind," I huffed playfully, but I pulled on Ebony's reins and she began in a slow trot before getting faster, until we were cantering. I was too afraid to try for a gallop, as inexperienced as I was, so I settled for this. I couldn't see Star anywhere, and wondered if I had left her behind, or if she had managed to streak past us. "Come on, Ebony. You don't want Brownie and Star to win, do you?" Ebony snorted, and I smiled.
