sunning and swimming

Sulwyn, daughter of Apollo, has just gotten done fighter practice. She is rather proud of herself today. She hasn't ever been particularly good with sword and shield, but she has to learn. She managed to whack the sword out of her opponent's hand and blocked a few hits with her shield. No, she prefers the ease and beauty of the bow and arrow. She liked the way she looked holding the bow, talk about strike a pose.
Now it is time to worship daddy and herself with some sun and swimming. She threw on her bright yellow Polk-a-dot bikini and a pair of white shorts and got ready to go to the beach. This beach in NY was nothing like the Cali beaches of home but that's O.K a beach and sun is beach and sun and that is where she likes to be.
She throws down a blanket and lays on her tummy reading a Hollywood entertainment magazine. She kicks her legs up and down basking in the sun. She grows a quirky smile and says "thanks daddy" quietly as the sun warms her skin.

I walked down to the beach, wearing a pink bikini top with white shorts and carrying an umberella, towel and a copy of National Geographic. I found a nice spot by a girl reading a magazine. "Hey, what are you reading?" I asked her.

"Oh hey how ya doin'?" This is holywood hotstuff. It's all about the up and coming actors. You've got Nat Geo...good choice. I like the Earthy stuff and animal info too."

There is no sarcasm in her voice. She is being nice. " So who is your mom or dad?"

I shrugged. It was usually obvious who my god parent was. "Athena. It pretty much explains the whole Nat Geo thing." I smile and flip another page. Oooh, Daylight Saving Time Facts. I situtated myself so I can get a better tan. Brains and beauty is my motto. "So who's your godly parent?"

Oh, of course that made sense, Sullwyn thought to herself.

"Oh I was thinking maybe Demeter...the whole Natural thing in Nat Geo? Anyway, my dad is Apollo. Hence the love of sun and tanning thing. "

The hair like perfect gold, the california attitude. My perfection isn't obvious? Sullwyn continued thinking of her perfection for a few seconds.

"So you also like architecture?"

I laughed. That's usually what they all say when I tell them my godly parent. Famous little Annabeth Chase. "Not way. That's really boring, looking at blueprint 24/7. But I like to keep an open mind, so I'm interested in a lot of things." I shrugged. "I thought you were a daughter of Aphrodite."

Fallon made his way down to the beach, dressed in a designer pink sundress and sandals. His emerald green eyes were covered with a pair of white-rimmed sunglasses, and his usual pink bow held his blonde hair back in a loose ponytail. His back was covered, as usual. His French manicured hands held a can of tanning oil, a foldable chair with a built-in umbrella, and a book on Polish history - written in his native tongue, of course.

The cross-dressing son of Aphrodite strutted down the beach and settled himself in his favorite spot; not far from where two girls sat, talking to each other.
