| Nevaeh | Emma | Brooks I caught up with Mark as he started to walk to the beach. A smie formed on my lips. "Guess I choose the right day to wear a bathing suit under my clothes today," I told him with a smirk. I looked up at his eyes and saw what he was looking at. My eye followed his gaze. The ocean seemed calm and clear. "Wow," I breathed. The water seemed just right. | |

| He looked at Eva and smiled "Yeah I guess so, I'll just swim in my shorts". As they hit the shoreline he walked over to a part by the trees and set his pack down and tied a knot in the bag to keep it from opening unless he does it and he takes off his shirt, showing his lean hard muscles and a Tattoo across his heart. It was a cross with the word "Redemption" over it with vines growing down the sides and he grinned, thinking about when he got it a few years ago he was so scared but he forced himself to do it. He looked back at Eva "Ready to swim?" |

| I blushed a bit when Mark took off his shirt. It's not my fault; Mark had nice muscles. He also had a tattoo on his chest. Nice. I looked him in the eyes. "Uh, yeah, I'm ready," I told Mark. I took off my shirt and shorts. I kicked the clothing to the side. Sand got in between my toes. I was wearing a green and white striped bikini that showed off my slim and lean body. Walking into the water, I only got in knee deep. I didn't know how to swim. My father never bothered to tech me. I bit my lip, embarassed. | |

| Woah Mark thought. It was a basic reaction from seeing Eva's cute body and he smiled as he saw her blush as she looked at him. Walking by her side, knee-deep he looked at her "You don't know how to swim? want me to teach you?" He said it in a helpful friendly voice and smiled |

| I turned red from embarrassment. I was a 16 year old girl who couldn't swim! My dad never cared about me. Except when the buliding...let's not think about this here. I shook the thought away. the water lapped at my knees. "I mean, I think I can swim. More or less of a dog paddle. But...yeah I don't know how to swim," I confessed. I turned and looked at Mark. "It would be nnice to know how to swim." | |

| He smiled and nodded and moved into deeper water up to his waist "first thing is, gotta be okay to go into deeper water, so if you come to me then I'll move alittle farther and then I'll tell you what to do when you have to start swimming" He thought back to when his mom taught him how...of course she threw him off their small boat and he had to swim or drown but he didn't care now he was always one of the best swimmers in whatever school he was dropped into. He looked at Eva and grinned " Don't worry though, I am not going to let one of my newest friends drown" |

| I nodded. Have to go deeper into water, right. I carefully stepped forward, aware of the shells and sand that touched my feet. I finally made it up to Mark. The water was a little up higher than my waist since I was shorter than Mark. "Now what?" I asked him nervous. Was i gonna go all the way deep? Please let there be no riptide today, I prayed. | |

| Mark nodded and moved a little back away from her and motioned to her "Okay now your going to have to float on your stomach and kick the water enough to move you forward, but make it even kicks not erratic so you go crazy with splashing the water. and if you can swim to me I'll help you more to swim alittle farther each time until you can get the hang of it" He smiled and dunked himself quickly and came back up and smiled, his hair down on his face, stuck to it from the water |

| I nodded. Okay, it didn't seem that hard. I bent down and tried to float on my stomach. After the third try, I got in. I smiled. Okay, now I have to kick my feet. As soon as I kicked my feet, I started moving. I smiled happily. Wow, I was actually swimming. I swam deeper into the ocean and father away from Mark. Psh, this was too easy. I laughed. Hm, if I can float on my stomach, why not try my back. I flipped around and tried. It took my a couple of times ,but I got it. I could swim now. I floated on my back. Another smile formed on my lips. Waves lapped on my body. "I can swim! I can--" I got cut off by a huge wave. Opps. I forgot that the deeper you go in, the bigger the waves get. Water got into my mouth. I was underwater. Crap, I was stupid to go far. I tried to resurface or do something but couldn't. There were no plants down in the ocean. My lungs burned from no air. Dammit. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Soon though, my vision went black. Oh joy. | |

| His eyes went wide not seeing her surface, and he dove in and got to her and wrapped his arm around her waist and swam back to shore and carried her on shore and checked her pulse and tried some cpr he learned so she could cough up the water "No, no no no no can't lose you Eva, your one of my few friends and I intend to save you" Mark silently said a prayer to Hermes and Apollo to help him and he kept trying to bring Eva back to him |

| I will say one thing: drowning is not fun. All I saw was blackness, but soon felt air flow through my lungs. Mark. I coughed up sea water. Sea water doesn't taste good either. My eyes shot open as I finished coughing. Ugh, my head hurt and my bpdy ached. My eyesight was fuzzy. I blinked and saw Mark. "Mark?" I asked in a whisper. What I was doing before this? Oh yeah, swimming. Or trying to. This was a second close to death experince. First the fire and then this. How many times were the gods gonna try to kill me? Tears pricked my eyes. No, I was NOT going to cry. Not in front of Mark. | |

| His eyes stared down at her and he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her to him and said in a whisper to her ear "Don't you ever do something that reckless please? I can't lose my newest friend...I need your company more than anything else in this camp Eva...your going to be the one thing keeping me sane through the years, so don't think your getting away that easily okay bub?" He smiled and let go of her and looked at her "Are you okay? Should I go get something to warm you up or should I start a fire?" |

| I blinked and looked at Mark. Did he really say that and meant it? His voice snapped me back to reality when he said something about a fire. A smile formed on my lips. The first time someone's told me. Without warning, I talcked him into another hug. I wrapped my arms around him. "I feel the same way," I told Mark. | |

| Mark smiled and he fell backwards from the unexpected tackle hug and he wrapped his arms around her and hugged back. "Good, cause I am not leaving anytime soon...so you best get used to seeing me hang around with you " He grinned and poked her and got up and went and grabbed some wood and set up a fire and lit it and sat back down by her |

| I laughed at what he said about him staying around me forever. My eyes watched as he ggot wood and built a fire. He lit it and the wood burst up in flames. The flames were blue because of the sea water that had gotten into the wood. A smile formed on my lips and I leaned my head on Mark's shoulder. | |

| He smiled as she rested her head on his shoulder. Gently putting an arm around her back and holding her close Mark had never felt so at home until right then. Mark looked at her and rested his head gently ontop of hers and looked out at the sea. |

| I smiled when Mark put an arm around my shoulders. It felt...nice. I followed his gaze and looked out to the ocean. The sunshine made the look as if someone had put diamonds in the water. A smile formed on my lips. "The water looks nice," I whispered. | |

| Mark nodded lightly and smiled and whispered "Yeah it is... I always liked watching the sea..." Mark thought back to when he watched the ocean pass over when he went to see his mother when she was traveling in Ireland...that was a hard few weeks but Mark shoved the thoughts out of his mind and looked at Eva and smiled. It felt...nice to hold her, like it seemed more right than anything lately in Marks life... |

| ~I need to write in 3rd person. xD Sorry for the change.~
Nevaeh smiled. Even though the ocean almost killed her today, it was nice. She smiled to herself. The sun was setting, giving the ocean a different color. Nevaeh loved it. She turned and looked into Mark's eyes. For some reason, she couldn't look away. | |

| Nevaeh smiled and laughed. "Me too Mark," she whispered back. Her green eyes stayed focused on his. They were just staring at each other for some time. Then, Nevaeh did something stupid. Well, maybe not but, you get the picture. Nevaeh leaned over and kissed Mark on the lips. | |

| Mark's eyes widened a little, but then he kissed Eva back on the lips and smiled and pulled away and stared into her green eyes with his golden eyes which shined lightly as the sunset hit them and he kissed her softly again on her lips. Mark thought this was the greatest moment he had ever had...and he hoped for many more in the coming days... |

| Nevaeh smiled as Mark kissed her back. She had never felt so happy before. Nevaeh pulled away and leaned her head up against his chest. Her eyes wondered off into the sunset. "Now what?" She asked. | |

| Nevaeh sighed. "Eh, I really don't know," she told Mark. Then, she smirked. "Only a monster would ruin this," she teased. That's what a demigods life was. Trying not to get eaten by monsters. She wrapped her arms around Mark. | |
