| Nametag by Angel. © Alexandria sat on a wooden stool, a paintbrush in hand. She was wearing a white blouse, and black, bleach-stained jeans. For a daughter of Khione, she dressed rather light; where as most wore parkas and snow-pants, she preferred a tee-shirt and shorts. Multiply spots of paint stained her pale white skin, where she had splattered somehow. Her hair was hanging free, snow-white as usual. Alexandria worked vigorously on the painting, which was a swirling bunch of clouds over the ocean, something she had completely free-styled. With each brushstroke, her maple eyes danced over the canvas, observing her artwork. Adding the last azure streak at the bottom, Alexandria dismounted the stool, and walked about five feet away. Holding her hands up to form a square, she closed one eye, judging the painting. "Eh," she said, absently, and shrugged. Returning to the easel, she dropped the brush in a plastic cup of water, and threw a paper plate covered in different colors in the trash-bin.

| Zane Hughes
Snoring quietly under a tarp in the corner of the shack, Zane's chest rose up and down steadily under the white sheet. Though the movement was neither too noticeable or completely imperceptible, it was certain to freak anyone out who stared at the sheet for too long. When Zane slept, the world fell away to nothing, sounds hardly reached his ears and no amount of jostling would wake him up if he had no desire to wake up. It wasn't often that he was plagued by the scary dreams that other demigods got, Zane had good enough control over his body when he was sleeping that he was able to block out things like that.
Lately, however, Zane's mental shield against the nightmares seemed to have broken down slightly, he was getting them more frequently. Today was another one of those days where he couldn't seem to block them out.
He woke up quickly after hearing the shrill scream of a girl who seemed familiar but at the same time, not. Throwing off the tarp, he blinked and rubbed his eyes and looked around at his surroundings in a disoriented way. He registered the fact that a girl was also in the room and his eyes widened slightly before he yawned and stretched. He started at her and grumbled something unintelligibly before stopping and swallowing and managing a, "Eh? That painting's pretty... well, pretty."

| Alexandria Collet Alexandria sighed, and relaxed herself on the stool. A slight movement caught her eye, and she narrowed them, watching a tarp in the corner. After a moment, she disregarded it, and jumped off of the seat. Turning her back to the corner, she took a few steps, before a voice interrupted her concentration. Jumping, she yelped, and tumbled to the ground in surprise. Closing her eyes, she took a few deep breaths, before swiveling her head to look behind her. A boy, around her age, had emerged from the tarp. Opening her mouth, she sighed, and shook her head. "Do you always do that to people?" she questioned, after standing and brushing herself off.
Clearing her throat, Alexandria smiled, and continued. "I'm Alexandria," she introduced herself, entwining her hands into each other behind her back. She continued to examine the boy, tilting her head a bit. He had messy brown hair, and steely-blue eyes. She assumed him to be a son of Hypnos; besides, most people didn't fall asleep in the corners of shacks. "And you are...?" While waiting for a response, she glanced at the painting, and her pale cheeks flushed a light crimson color. "Oh, and er...thanks." People usually disregarded her art; well, she had never showed people her art, but that was besides the point.
Reaching out, she grasped the canvas, and pulled it from the easel. Setting it down on a table, she lifted the wooden holder, and pushed it against a wall. Then, she slid the stool across the floor, stopping about five feet from the boy. Sighing, she sat herself down, crossed her legs, and waited, smiling patiently.
