| -Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore? You lost the love I loved the most! I learned to live, half alive, And now you want me one more time!
Full Name (Including Middle): Hale Joseph Drem Nickname/s: None. Hale goes by Hale Name Meaning: Hero from the hall; hero. Namesake: Hale was named by his mother, after no one in-particular. Age: 12 Date of Birth: December 12th Gender: Male God Parent: Apollo Family: Hale's mother's name was Hailey Drem. She died giving birth to Hale's half sister, and was able to escape Hera's attack. She was able to attract three gods, Zeus, Apollo, and Hephaestus. Before being a mother, Hailey had dreams of being a lawyer, but those dreams were crushed upon giving birth to the oldest Drem, Hale. After several weeks with her son, the lawyer dream became a mere past desire--nothing more. Her children were important, and Hailey could only ask for more time with them. Toni followed, then Tyson, and lastly Melissa, the mortal child. Hale never met her, and he probably never will. Hale's oldest, little sister's name is Toni. Toni arrived at camp, but no one is sure of her whereabouts now. Her god parent is Hephaestus. Before her odd disappearance, Toni hadn't been one of Hale's favorite people. He didn't remember her after being hurt, and her sudden appearance angered him to say the least. Hale's little brother's name was Tyson. Tyson was killed by Hera, in a very long back story. He is now dead, and Hale misses him terribly. Tyson and Hale were best friends until the accident, mostly because Hale looked up to his younger brother. He was a child of Zeus, for gods' sake! Tyson wouldn't have been a very powerful Zeusie, but he probably would have made a fine leader, had he been given the opportunity to grow up. Hale's littlest half sister, who's name he doesn't know, lives wit her father, and Hale has never met her. She lives with her father, Darren, the man Hailey planned on marrying. Darren and Toni are extremely similar. Still, upon hearing his mother had found actual love with someone other than Apollo, Hale became extremely angry and declared his hatred for the man and their child right then and there. Claimed: Yes! Years in Camp: Hale is well into his second year at camp, where he has made a huge impact. Claiming History: Hale was claimed by his father upon entering the Hermes cabin, on his first day of camp. Apollo didn't want his new kid to have to bunk with the obnoxious Hermes and unclaimed kids. Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round Rank: Cabin Leader, Term II Brief History: Hale was born in San Fransisco, but his mom moved him immediately. Hale had no problem with this and found it completely normal that a single mother would want to move away from her past and start anew. The true reason for his moving was for protection, though. Hailey was well aware of the fact that Hades's throne room resided right bellow their home. (Though it stretched across several others.) Staying in San Francisco would have been like asking for some monsters to gobble Hale up. When his sister, Toni, was born he rejoiced, glad there was another member of his family. Toni was soon joined by Tyson, and Hale saw that his family complete. The only problem was, all three children were demigods. Tyson was even a son of Zeus, which was incredibly outrageous. Somehow, Hailey had attracted the attention of all three gods--Apollo, Hephaestus, and Zeus--and her children had turned out to be spitting images of both of their parents. For the longest time they aged well, but then Hera found out about Zeus, Apollo, and Hephaestus. Still, prior to the wrath of Hera, Hale lived an above average life at school. Because he lived in a Californian town, Hale fit in nicely. If you were the god Apollo, you would probably move to California if forced out of Olympus. It's full of surfers and blondes. Tan is in, which is another plus for Apollo and his children, and no one would suspect anything if you were a little obsessed with the sun. In class, Hale was a popular kid. His blond hair and darling brown eyes caused his little classmates to swoon over him, and for a 5th grader, he was mature. That maturity was lost after Hera attacked and the Apollo boy lost some of his calm personality and loving memory. Hera was angry, angry at Hailey, and hit her where it hurts; her children. Hale and Toni teamed up when protecting the house from Hera, but Tyson was too young to survive a blow from a goddess. He died and Hale was hit on the head with a piece of roof. What did he forget? That he had a sister who he loved, and that his mom knew about mythology. Other than that, the Hera incident only took him to camp. He was dragged away by a satyr and taken to Camp Half-Blood's safety. He tried to run away a few times, but he did end up in camp eventually, after a delayed trip. At camp he met Leo, a son of Poseidon, and that boosted up his spirits. He had gained a friend without even trying, which wasn't something that came very naturally to Hale. Soon he befriended some of his siblings, first Alex, then Katie, then Seth, and then just about everyone else, but then he started hanging out with others. He met Roxanne Michaels, who went on to nominate him for Apollo Cabin Leader. Shortly, he became Cabin Leader, and befriended the other Cabin Leaders, with the exception of Cody Perennial. They got of to a rough start, both yelling at each other, then each of them leaving. Luckily, at the next meeting, tragedy brought them together. The war changed them, and soon Hale and Cody were on an acquaintance basis (they're still working on "friendship"). When Zan/Roxanne and Gen died, Hale went into an emotional frenzy. He thought about suicide before Zan's cousin Julia got in the way. Hale was back on track, and handled finding out that Taylor was Zan with flying colors. He didn't take that his mother died so well though, Alex Dashwood or Toni Drem could tell you that! As the months passed, Hale started to get weak. He had Apollo's blessing after dying in a battle, and he could never pass up an opportunity to help someone in need. With this stress always on him, the boy seemed to age 10 years in 10 weeks. He hardly appeared to be the same happy-go-lucky person he was. That was before Anne, though, Anne Berkenhousen and Hale started dating, which gave Hale new hope. Maybe the curse wasn't so bad, after all. Maybe he could find love, if he looked hard enough within himself. Like Hale always says, "If there's a light, there's a way!" Physical Appearance: Hale has light, golden blond hair. It's cut short, and cropped, which isn't very unusual for a boy of Hale's age. His hair occasionally grows long and shaggy, and he doesn't get around to getting it cut a lot, since he tends to focus more on his duties as a demigod before he worries about properly grooming himself. When it is long, you will find he has trouble consternating and is often antsy, but when it's cut short he is often calm and peppy. This isn't because of the hair itself, but when he's not in the mood to get his haircut, that same mood will cause him to go into a miniature depression. His eyes are brown, which are the color of his mom's eyes. No one is quite sure why he got his mom's eye color instead of his dad's, since the god's genes normally overpower the mortals, but he did. Hale believes it is because his mom is strong, and meant to help do great things. Upon looking into Hale's eyes, you will think you've just met an angel. He's an adorable boy, really, and he has the puppy dog eyes to prove it. If Hale doesn't get what he needs, he has a secret weapon. His skin is tan, but only when he's in the sun, otherwise it's pale. It is very similar to the Apollo cabin, which turns golden when hit by sunlight. He almost always has a smile on his face, which lights up the room, and his eyebrows are arched. The small boy is only 4'9", but he's working his way to 4'10", maybe even 4'11". He kind of has a weaselly, surfer look to him, and his aura is calm and sturdy. When he's sad, Hale doesn't cry, but rather looks like he's been stunned silent. His eyes often wander, his mouth forms a tight, straight line, and his skin looses life-likeness. His Camp Half-Blood shirt is tight to his chest, which makes him look stronger than he really his. He only wears Nike running shoes, and black gym shorts. He has a yin-yang sun necklace and a backpack which he wears often, but not always. The rest of the time, it's either laying on his bed, on his floor, or in his hand as a bow. Never does Hale wish to not wear his orange camp shirt, for fear that he will no longer be considered a camper, and might no longer be claimed by his true home. Personality: Hale is loyal and cocky. He will fight to the end for friends, siblings, or just people in need. The cocky part comes when he makes a shot with his bow and arrows. If he simply hits someone's foot with an arrow, he'll get so cocky he'll let his guard down, and possibly even get lazy. He feels like everyone has his back, and if he doesn't have the energy to be alert, than he is extremely willing to let someone else watch out for him. (Like he will ever not have energy. Pfft.) Still, he can be brave and powerful if he tries. He has leadership in him, even if it is often under the surface, deeply hidden inside of him. Once he became Cabin Leader, he found out just what lied under the surface. He was a natural leader, and he was brave enough to take on the job. He doesn't always feel strongly about himself, especially after his brother's death, but when others around him show Hale just how much he's doing for them, his spirits will be lifted. It doesn't take much to make Hale happy, and a simple smile or a pat on the back often does the trick. He is claustrophobic, and hates to be inside, which has something to do with his dad being Apollo. He feels best when he's outside in the sunlight. He hates the dark, and only feels safe with light, but it's okay because he can control light. This can also be traced back to his dad. He often reminds himself that is dad is Apollo for comfort, because Hale feels Apollo is the greatest god, and one that would never back down. When he's in the dark, Hale's always afraid of what might be lurking just ahead, and he has issues when coping with his fears. He doesn't know how to handle many of his own problems, though he often solves others problems very well. He never has a good understanding of himself, and his lack of knowledge leads him to view himself as a stranger. Hale can seem to have split personalities. While he's normally a very upbeat and brave person, he can, on occasion, be ruthless and filled with anger. It is hard to set off Hale but he doesn't separate his feelings amongst different people. If one person makes him a little mad, and another person makes him a little mad, the unlucky third person could get yelled at for someone else's actions. While most people view this as uncharacteristic for Hale, he can throw tantrums and complain, because he is, after all, a child. That's something people often forget about Hale. He's a kid. Favorites: Hale loves snowboarding, sugar, and the snow. If he could spend all day outside, eating candy, and snowboarding, he would. His dream job would be working as an apprentice for his father, Apollo, and Hale's life dream is to meet Apollo. Least Favorites: Hale can't stand being under pressure, and he hates being talked down to. Being one of the youngest, and the smallest, Cabin Leader, Hale often gets treated as the kid, which he doesn't much care for. He also hates being inside, and he doesn't do well in tight spaces. Hale's least favorite job would be a teacher, and he never wants to be put down by his peers. Fatal Flaw: Hale can be a little insensitive and cocky, which could lead to his death if he isn't careful. Pets: Hale has a doggie named Truckee, who is a male black lab. The dog brings Hale joy when he's down and lights up almost everyone's day with his spunky personality. Truckee: Demigod Abilities: ~**Hale can use his bow for trick shooting, and he can control light. Those are his two Apollo powers. He can't heal very well, but he simply tells himself it's because he's young. He has always been determined to learn, and he spends a lot of time in the infirmary, looking at his siblings healing examples.** ~He isn't very good when close-combat fighting, since he can't use a sword, but is good at sharp shooting. Hale is a master with his bow, and hits even the smallest of targets. ~He can take more ambrosia and nectar then most demigods, which he considers a talent, but still can't take in very much. Everyone knows you explode when you take in too much. ~Something most people don't know about Hale is that he is a good snowboarder. He loves the snow and his old home used to be in the mountains where there was year round snow. He shreds like professionals, and doesn't wait for anyone on the slopes. Weapons: His bow and arrows are all he needs. His bow turns into a backpack, and his arrows turn into an iPod. Other: Hale tries to run away, but he isn't quiet, so he always gets caught. He owns a cellphone that know one knows about, but hardly uses it. He is also the Apollo Co-Cabin Leader. Word Count: 2,428 -Let us die young or let us live forever! We don't have the power, but we never say never! Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip. The music's for the sad men!

| Nico l di l Angelo [son of Hades; lord of the dead, and god of the Underworld.] Character you're applying for: Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, 11 years of age Brief description of the character:Personality: Nico is not shy unless he has very good reason to be, but he tends to stay away from other people. He is antisocial and holds a grudge like no one you have ever seen before. Nico is also one of the most mysterious demigods you will ever meet. He doesn't have very good people skills, and he acts very awkwardly around large groups of people. Even if he knows everyone in the group, he won't chat and allow himself to appear happy, and he'll likely complain about what an awful time he's having if he decides to speak so openly. Another thing Nico doesn't like is when he's in a group and is being put under the spotlight, because his improv skills are greatly lacking, and he can't convincingly lie without hesitation. Nico is known to lie, though, because most children of Hades so. Naturally he lies and deceives others. While he tries to be a cooperative boy, and is normally good at helping others, he's Hades favorite, most promising son.
Nico is also smart, when he decides to be. He can be quite deceiving, and gets his way often. By being able to be convincing, Nico has learned that not everything is roses and daisies. Sometimes in life, you don't get what you want, and Nico understands this. His troubled past has made him stronger, and has given him an edge. He has strong street smarts, mostly, and is aggressive. Nico's had to grow up quickly since his sister died and he was put in a camp to fend for himself. While some might think he had his entire visit at the Lotus to grow up, it isn't true. The time he spent there he spent under the security of his big sister who he misses dearly, and is only his sad, little brother self around close friends. He truly misses his sister, and it tears him up on the inside. That is why anything and everything will set him off. Nico enjoys being alone because no one can see him mourn for Bianca. No one except for Percy has seen him express his true sorrow for the lose, and the others just assume he's broken because of it. In some cases, it's true. Nico still doesn't like the thought of going on without her. He feels like it's moving on, and that's something he never wants to do. Bianca was supposed to live forever. Nico has to keep her alive. That's another thing, once Nico believes in something, he gets very determined, and it turns into a new obsession of sorts. Nico sticks to things for a long time, making him a loyal and trustworthy friend, but a deadly and ruthless grudge keeper.
If you get to know Nico, you'll see that he's also a bit of a nerd. He enjoys playing MythoMagic, and he doesn't understand "cool." If he had gone to a normal school, he would have stood out as one of the weird loners, and it's obvious that he wasn't born in the 1990's like the rest of the 11 year old's living today. Nico is stuck in his old time, which is before World War II. He still hasn't fully grasped his past, and his understanding of the Lotus Hotel and Casino wasn't as full as Bianca's was. He vividly remembers his mother, and sometimes thinking of her brings the son of Hades peace, but sometimes it just fills him with great sorrow, which gives the anti-social nerd several mood swings. During his time of instability, Nico likes to run off and separate him from other people for their protection, and his. Since Nico is one of the more powerful demigods, and he isn't as well trained as those who stick around camp, he doesn't hold much control on his gifts when he himself looses control.
Because his father likes to compare Nico to his sister, the son of Hades can underestimate himself. Always being told that his sister had greater potential and that he would never amount to anything really drove Nico to believe that his future wasn't very bright. He resulted in believing he had no skill. Each time Nico learns something new, he is amazed at his ability. His lucky guesses can make others jealous, and his close encounters make close friends nervous. Most times, Nico is unpredictable and dangerous because he doesn't allow himself to learn too much. He always believes he's reaching his intellectual potential, and the only way he can truly learn is to teach himself or be taught by the person whose approval means more to the demigod than anything; his father, Hades.
A good word to describe Nico is misunderstood. Because Nico is different, he gets pushed aside like an outcast. Only those who take enough time to really get to know Nico can even begin to understand how complex he is. It would take years to peel back layer after layer of Nico's personality, and centuries to get the closed off boy to tell you anything about himself. That is something that keeps Nico angry, and in a bad mood most of the time. He has numerous feelings bottled up inside of him, and sometimes his cap opens to let him spew. Nico's rage is one that should be feared far and wide, for Nico is powerful, and his wrath is immense. It's not something you want to press your luck going up against. An angry Hades kid is a dead non-Hades kid.
Nico has a secret sensitive and extremely youthful side to him. As mentioned before, Hades always tears Nico down, making him feel worse about himself. The one thing Nico wants, other than to someday bring his sister back, and other than his desire to get revenge on Percy Jackson, AND to prove himself as a demigod, is to get approval from his father. Because of this Nico often spends time in the underworld, hoping that something he does sets his father off in a good way. Instead, everything the son of Hades does seems to anger his dad that much more. Unbeknownst to Nico, he is Hades favorite child, but he is also the biggest existing reminder of his deceased mother, Maria. Hades inadvertently killed Maria, whom he actually seemed to love unconditionally, and he's regretted spending time with her even since. Nico is a living reminder of the mistake, and though Nico doesn't know it, he looks a lot like his mother. The most innocent thing about Nico is that he radiates a need to be respected.
At this time in Nico's life, the boy is powerful, but grim. Because of the recent death of his sister, Nico doesn't feel comfortable around anyone and is always angry and fueled by rage. Like his father isn't a proper Olympian, Nico doesn't feel he is a proper camper. He visits camp on and off, but mostly just sulks around, pities himself, and talks with the dead. Nico finds comfort in the dead, and knows they get him more than humans seem to. Now more than ever all of Nico's actions have meaning, but most of them are dark and evil. He isn't a villain, but he has the potential to turn into one. His hatred for Percy grows and his intentions get more devious. More often than not Nico means to cause harm to the ones who most want him to feel accepted. The friends he was once willing to hold dear are just a distant memory. Everything is distant and hazy to Hades's favorite heir, except for the grudge he somehow must hold. Nico someone only sees the revenge, and that's what he lets boil up inside of him. Someday, maybe, it just might brew up and over, but more now, Nico let's it burn a hole inside of him, growing hotter and hotter with each memory of Bianca that comes flooding back.
Physical: Nico's hair is shaggy and black, and is anything but tidy, a lot like Harry Potter's hair. It is almost brown, but at the same time pitch black, much like a hell hound's fur. If the light is hitting it from one angle, than you can see that his actual hair color is a very dark brown, like Hades's hair. It is almost impossible to tell that his hair isn't naturally black as night, which it appears to be.
His eyes are black, and seem to be full of something that is either madness or genius. But in the end, aren't the two things the same? Unlike his hair, his eyes are as black as death; a void as deep and dangerous as Tartarus. Just looking into his eyes for a short amount of time could drive a person crazy, and his evil eye actually causes evil. If Nico glares at you, you won't be able to unsee the pure hatred in his eyes; hatred that boiled up because of how many tragedies have become of the poor child's life. Though Nico only vaguely remembers, he has his mother's eyes, but his father's cold smile. Somehow Nico's eyes grew dead enough, probably from Bianca's death, to be much more striking than his mother's warm eyes; the eyes Nico was born with. When he calms down and embraces his father's strange brand of love, maybe his eyes warmth will return. They were exactly like his mothers. It was their biggest family tie.
Nico used to have more of an very tan, olive complexion, but after spending time in the Underworld and in the shadows, he has gotten very pale. In fact, he is almost as white as snow. His fair skin appears to be unhealthy, but really, his tan skin was the health hazard. Being a tan son of Hades isn't very common, and something was almost unnatural about the long periods of time Nico would spend outside in the sun. As his tan left him, so did his constant smiles. He became extremely pale in only a few months. The best guess to the cause of this is his sister's death, which made Nico wallow around in his own misery for a long time.
Nico dresses in mostly black, like ripped, black, skinny jeans and tight, gothic, black shirts. One of his signature pieces of clothing is his silver skull ring. The son of Hades is hardly ever without it. He used to wear aviator jackets, but that is a phase that he has grown out of, much like MythoMagic. When his style changed, Nico began to be viewed much differently. He went from being a young, nerdy, and inquisitive 10 year old to a hot, unreadable, and strong-willed 11 year old. The change was drastic, but his appearance changed in Nico's favor. Sample Roleplay: After putting a lot of thought into it, I decided to spend the night in the Artemis cabin. Anywhere was better than the Hera cabin, right? The Artemis cabin at least brought back old memories, bad memories, but old memories. The cabin was currently empty, because Thalia and the hunters were with Artemis. I could only remember my sister, when I thought of Artemis, nowadays, and Artemis was doing a lot for Olympus, therefore, she was getting mentioned; a lot.
A couple of winters ago, my sister had been killed by one of Hephaestus' automatons. Maybe that's why the ghosts "accidentally" wrecked the forge last week. I wasn't sure. (*Wink*) The reason I thought of my sister, Bianca, when I saw anything related to Artemis was because Bianca had been a hunter, one of Artemis' followers. The traveled together and gave up boys and all of that. Bianca left me to go with them, which made it all worse. Soon after she joined them, though, she had been killed.
Today the light was shinning on the Artemis cabin and it was glimmering with silver sparkles. It walked around it, checking it out, and reading it's cabin number: 8. It looked like a hunting lodge, with magic silver paint. That was kind of cool, at least. It wasn't pink.
I stepped inside and smelled the must. It had been a while since the hunters had been here, so dust had collected on the shelves. I guessed no one came into the Artemis cabin, which made me wonder why. It was empty, and most of the other cabins were anything but that. In fact, the Artemis cabin was almost . . . Pleasant.
Picking a bed was easy. I simply picked the one that looked the least used. The sheets were pulled up, and it's pillow was fluffed. The bed hadn't collected any dust, which I found odd, but respected. The best thing was, it smelled like pomegranate perfume. I loved pomegranate, they were my dad's sacred fruit. When I was little, I would go to sleep surrounded by the smell the encased me at that very moment.
My eyes were heavy, so I slipped into bed early. My aviator jacket was still on when I discovered the journal. Happily, I picked up the Hunter's diary and read the cover. I didn't even feel guilty about reading her diary. She was a girl after all, and girl's diaries were meant to be read, otherwise, they wouldn't write in them.
Only when I read the cover did I realize what I was getting into:
Bianca di Angelo
Daughter Of Hades, Hunter of Artemis
Sister of Nico

| Morgan Spyro [daughter of Zeus, Greek Lord of the Sky.] Naming Full Name: Morgan Elise Spyro Nickname/s: Some people call her Spyro because of how cool it sounds, but mostly she's just called Morgan.
Basics Age: 16 Date of Birth: June 29th Gender: Female
Family God Parent: Zeus Mortal Family: Morgan's mom is a "Sparkly Hat Mom." She dresses in teenage girl jeans and wears hats that say "My Daughter Rocks" or "Volleyball Mom." And she's a soccer mom. Her name is Riley Spyro. Because she often hooks up with Morgan's friend's dads, Riley doesn't have any friends, and Morgan is embarrassed by her. Claimed: Yes
Camp Information Years in Camp: 3 Claiming History: Morgan was claimed 3 weeks after her arrival at camp. Year-Round or Summer: Summer
History Brief History: Morgan crouched low to the ground, her hair tied in a loose braid. She was trying her best to block her mother's screaming out of her head, but Riley was feeling extremely loud today. The thunder outside boomed loudly, and even though Morgan wanted to just play volleyball, even that simple wish seemed impossible. The other team was struggling to return the ball. Then someone hit the ball with an intense force and it shot over the net. Before hitting the ground, it hung in midair for a split second. The buzzer sounded. The point didn't count. "Did we win?" Morgan asked, confused. Before her best friend could answer, a huge clap of thunder shook the building. Riley screamed. Morgan jumped, but didn't reach the ground after leaving it. She flailed her arms wildly, and dropped to the ground. Lightning struck the building and everything went dark. Morgan was born to Zeus, the lord of the sky, and even at birth she seemed like a normal child. People didn't, and still don't, think of her as a demigod, especially one born to the ruler of the gods. Riley Spyro, Morgan's 25 year old mother, was just ecstatic to have given birth to a little blonde girl that she called up her closest friends to tell them about the good news.
These "closest friends" didn't stay close to Riley for very long after Morgan's birth. For the first 4 years of her life, Morgan was dressed up in cupcake dresses and paraded around a pageant stage. The pageant life wasn't for her, as the demigod always loved sports, but couldn't play on the toddlers' soccer team. Riley feared her daughter would get an injury playing the dirty sport that might prevent her from competing at the upcoming glitz pageants.
Throughout her elementary school career, Morgan was allowed to begin to play active sports. She was most interested in volleyball and soccer, which were extremely popular sports among girls Morgan's age. She also played softball until Riley grew tired of attending the games and forced Morgan to quit. When middle school rolled around, Morgan was put on A-Team for volleyball and though she wasn't the captain, she was a member of the cheer squad. Her mother couldn't be happier, despite the suffering Morgan's grades were going through.
During one of Morgan's volleyball games, at age 13, a severe thunderstorm started just as the game came to a close. Suspicious things had been happening with the ball's "flying patterns" and though Morgan's team won the game, nothing felt right. When lightning struck the building, the lights flickered off, and Morgan was hit in the head with a volleyball. She awoke in the middle of the street, being pulled along by the A-Team manager. With goat legs.
At Camp Half Blood she met two girls, both children of the Big Three as well. They were a Zeus/Hades/Poseidon group of cousins, and though it was extremely odd, they were the best of friends.
Looks Physical Appearance: Morgan's hair is light blonde with highlights that make her hair appear to be several shades darker. It's almost always up in some sort of way, decorated in flowers or not, and when it's down, she curls it using the heat she figured out how to control. It's just barely past her shoulders in length. Morgan's bangs taper around her face almost flawlessly, and it's hard to tell she has bangs at all. The daughter of Zeus's eyes are a very light and gentle shade of blue; almost the same color as the sky on a clear day. They're shaped rather large eyes, but aren't her moth striking feature. Morgan wears make-up, but only on her eyes, applying mascara and eyeshadow for a "prettier pageant look." Morgan's skin is pale in complexion, but very smooth and contains no marks. Her height is a miniscule 5'4", which makes her one of the smaller 16 year old girls.
Personalities Personality: "What am I like, you may ask. Actually, you did ask. I don't really know my own personality well, but I can try to tell you all I know. Mainly, I'm a strong and independent person. I don't believe guys are better than girls just because they're, you know, guys. I don't like dealing with the weak because I always feel a need to look after them. If I'm blessed with being fortunate and healthy, I should obviously help the others who can't help themselves.
"I lead, because of my heritage, but I belong in groups. I prefer to be surrounded by smiles. I don't do well in small crowds, which is a strange quality since I should just like people in general. I don't have to worry about being in charge or not if the situation ever comes up, since it'll be worked out somehow, someday. If I am on my own and providing no help, it's for good reason.
"Life on the road isn't the life for me. I'm not nomadic and change can make me sick. And not just grossed out sick. Sick-to-my-stomach sick. I like taking risks and being my own person, but this doesn't often have to call for change or moving or even distance. I'm alright with putting up with something until it gives up, because I'm certainly not ever the first person to give in. I can hold out for a long period of time, and I can deal with being uncomfortable.
"[British Accent]My mother taught me that I should always try and be the center of attention. I'm supposed to be popular and making a difference in the world one way or another. I'm also supposed to behave gracefully and with dignified actions. I get into trouble a lot, which conflicts with my mother's wishes, despite her tendency to get in trouble with dads and guys and other daughter-obsessed moms. She wants me to have a big mouth, but to tone down my sass level.[/British Accent] If I do everything my mom, Riley, says, than I'm supposed to go far, but my mom hasn't gone far. She only leaves the house if I'm with her. Great role model, my mom is.
"Love is confusing. I never understood it, nor do I now. I don't want a boyfriend. I never want a boyfriend. I never want a family life with anyone. If I successfully follow my dream, I'll be too busy saving the world to settle down and start a family. Camp Half Blood will be my life in just a couple short years. When I get past my prime, I hope to stay and camp and train the new demigods. Do you see any opportunity for a love interest to settle into my life there? No. Don't bring it back up again. I'm not interested in anyone. I'm not going to foolishly get my heart broken by a stupid guy like Mom allowed her boyfriends to do to her. I'm smart and extremely witty, more than averagely so, and I know better. I get my smarts from my dad. He's smart in ways I can hope to someday be, though I would never break a heart. There will never be an option for me to get a hold of someone's heart. I'm not the type of person that put's myself out there. I'm the loner type, and I am good at remaining unnoticed, occasionally quiet, and attentive. Love is like a ship. It sails away someday, because though it can be tied to the pier for a while, it can't forever. Someday, you must set the thing you love free. I won't have to set anything free. I'm probably taking the easy way out by choosing to go free, myself.
"Is that the kind of thing most people say about their personality? Did I mention I'm very timid and shy around strangers? Or what about--"
Fatal Flaw: Morgan's fatal flaw is her conflicting personalities. Her mother taught her to behave one way, and set a certain type of example, but Morgan's original personality was completely opposite. They combined as Morgan got older and endangered the Zeusie.
Skills Demigod Abilities: Morgan has only one, and it's very unnatural. Her father is Zeus, who control lightning, so of course Morgan was given a lightning related power. She can summon lightning from her hands. From the sky, too, but that skill is a very unpredictable one for her to use. It's safest if she brings the lightning from the palms of her hands. When she uses this ability, it looks a lot like John's ability from "I Am Number Four", except the lightning it very yellow in color, and 10x hotter. Because they've been exposed to so much hot lightning, Morgan can rub her hands together to bring forth heat and steam. (The lightning left that effect on her.) Her hands are also completely heat resistant. If they weren't, her skin would have burned clear off by now. Weapons: Morgan fights with a Celestial Bronze knife. It's slick and curved, with a black handle. On the handle is a lightning bolt. If she tip of the lightning bolt is pressed down, the knife transforms into a small, slick compass.
Other: Morgan's best friend's are portrayed by Zan and Angel. Word Count: 1,662

| June Prenston [daughter of Ares, god of war.]"People always believe they know me, and they don't realize how wrong they are until it's too late. Don't get under my skin, and always sleep with one eye open. I'm already coming for you." Naming Full Name: June Helen Prenston Nickname/s: People call June "Demon" and "Destroyer" behind her back, but to her face, June has no nicknames.
Basics Age: 14 Date of Birth: March 23rd Gender: Female
Family God Parent: Ares Mortal Family: June's mom never really cared for her. Her name was Thalia, until she changed it to Sugar because of her "exotic dancer" career. The name seemed fitting. She was never home during the night through the early morning, so June didn't really see her. Claimed: Yes
Camp Information Years in Camp: Two years. Claiming History: June had an average claiming, as far as demigods go. The day she came to camp, during an argument at dinner with the Hermes cabin, Ares staked his claim. Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round
History Brief History: "Want to play with me, Mommy? Want to play imagination and pretend? Want to be a kid again, Mommy? Want to be like me?" June asked relentlessly, stepping closer and closer to her frightened mother. June didn't have any weapons in her hands, and she looked completely harmless, but Thalia knew better. The young mom turned her head away and closed her eyes tightly. Nothing happened. All she could hear was June's calm breathing. When Thalia opened her eyes again, she saw her daughter holding an average kitchen knife. No, strike that, a butcher knife. June batted her eyes innocent, but let a smirk take over her otherwise emotionless face. "I can play with knives, now, Mommy. I bet you didn't know that about me. Do you want to see what I can do? I can show you, Mommy. I'm really quiet good. It's one of my talents. I bet I got that talent from you, Mommy. You're just so talented. You're so talented, you never have time to spend with me!" June raised her knife, and Thalia let out a shriek. June quickly placed in knife's handle in between her forefinger and her thumb, them turned her body to face the door and took aim. With speed and strength, the knife sunk into the door. "See Mommy? Nothing to be worried about. I'm always very careful. I can aim quite well, too." June was beaming now, but Thalia felt like she was in a horror movie. Her child had to be possessed. No little girl behaved so demented. "You're going to send me away," June began, shifting her wight between her two feet. "I heard you talking on the phone to someone named Chiron. Does he own a mental institution? Do you think I need to be locked up, like a prisoner? Do you possibly . . . not love me?" June glared deviously at her mother and wished she still had the knife. All her life, the little girl had wanted nothing more than to be the cause of any and all violent acts. Something about the way her brain was hard-wired made killing and surviving sound all too fun. Ares was her father, so of course she was strange, but June also had mental disabilities that caused her to be overly violent. She was sociopath. She always will be a sociopath. It's not something people overcome, and it's earned young June the title of "Psycho," like murderers in movies. That's what June's mother always compared her daughter to, and that's what June herself soon started comparing her behavior, too. That happened to be what gave June the idea to scare her mother straight. When she wasn't on her crazy-periods, June was brilliant. Scarily and dangerously brilliant. June was born crazy, but not nearly as crazy as she rapidly became. Her mother didn't notice it until her preteen years, because she was always so busy with her "job," but June was overly violent. She played with dolls, but never quite played the right way. Her dolls made plans to kill other dolls and occasionally succeeded. Some people would argue that it was the Ares blood in her, but June was also a bit of a sociopath as well. Thalia, her mother, was never home. The family of two was poor. The people she went to school with teased her for her anger issues. June never stood a chance, because her entire life was a trap, leading her into the life of a sociopath.
In second grade, June was coloring a picture from her coloring book. It was Donald Duck, which isn't exactly important, but does prove she was at least somewhat normal. The boy in June's class who had a crush on her quickly took a crayon and slid it across the demigod's picture. She soon became extremely mad, as any average 2nd grader would, but instead of throwing a fit, June flipped over the table and broke a crayon in half. She threw both halves of the crayon at the little boy and threatened the break his arm. Before June could take any immediate action, her teacher calmed her down and sent her to the office.
Throughout her entire fourth grade year, June managed to never get sent to the office, but that was mostly because her classmates were intimidated by her. However, in fifth grade, June broke a school record of 84 referrals. They were all for outbursts, threats, and violence towards others. Her elementary school principal wanted June to see a therapist, but since Thalia was never around to sign the little girl's permission slip, June never received help. It was trip to the office after endless trip to the office for June.
In fact, June went to the office at school so many times, it started becoming more of a home than a punishment room. Her school was a private school, but they never felt the need to send June away. Principal Edmund, who always walked with a cane despite the fact that he was extremely young, simply wouldn't let the school board kick June out. Whenever June needed help, or just wanted to get away from her classmates, she would get herself sent to the office. Principal Edmund was more of a parent to June than Thalia, who always worked as an "exotic dancer."
During 6th grade, Thalia/Sugar quit her job in an attempt to spend more time with her daughter, but June wasn't comfortable with the change. She started planning her revenge early on in the year and came up with the perfect plan. Since now June was more crazed than ever, and since Principal Edmund had comfortably admitted to the daughter of Ares that she showed signs of being a sociopath, June decided she had to show her mother exactly what she had caused.
June ended up frightening her mother with a knife, and somehow cutting the mom on the wrist, but other than that, June had done no damage. She was just getting payback. Thalia had tried calling the police on her own daughter, but June had cut the phone lines, thinking ahead. Pleased with her performance, the 12 year old girl simply ran away. She felt a little bit depressed over leaving Principal Edmund, but there was no life at home, and her school wasn't a boarding school. June didn't have any idea where she was going to sleep, but she figured it would come to her when she needed to know. A voice in her head occasionally calmed her down at the most violent of times, and a voice in her head usually egged her on when she decided to take no action. To June, a brilliant girl, there had never been any question that the voice was her father, she just didn't know how he was able to talk to her, or who he was.
Once at camp, which Ares guided his daughter to, June was claimed and sent to the infirmary. The girl was afraid of how baffled everyone seemed to be by her attitude, and often lashed out because of it. She nearly strangled a medic and almost got herself into more lock down procedures, but obvious improvement came over a span of just a few weeks. June was a sociopath, but that was toned down and she no longer had the desire the harm others unless her anger issues took over. As long as everyone around her was patient, June could be, too.
After starting to think like a normal camper, and over her two years at camp, June decided it would be alright to trust herself around other people who really cared. She was 14, after all, and most 14 year old girls were interested in dating. Why should her disability stand in her way? Why couldn't June be just like everyone else, especially with all the progress made? Why couldn't June be into dating like all others around her? She knew nothing about having crushes or falling in love, but she knew that some people already had, and the possibility of it happening to June was real. That's when June signed up for the Camp Half Blood dating service. She wanted to find her special someone.
Looks Physical Appearance: June's hair is dark brown and usually straight, though naturally her hair is curly. It goes down to her chest, which means that it's rather long as far as hair goes, but usually has some form of a braid keeping it out of June's way. On special occasions she'll wear it down, but nothing more complicated than that. June's never had to impress anyone with her looks, so she doesn't try to look nicer than she really is.
June's eyes are also dark brown, and are emotionally deep. (to be finished later)
Personality Personality: June is a very dark and usually twisted girl, but since coming to camp she's had professional help. She mainly just longs to be with other people--people who will care for her and look after her. She's not exactly lost, but is always on the verge of slipping away. She doesn't accept help very easily, and she hates working with people, even if they've made it their wish to help her. Though no one knows it, June has never fallen for anyone, but if she were to fall for someone, it would be someone who she needs to work with in order to fully love them. The struggle is part of a great relationship in June's opinion, because you deserve each other, things didn't just happen. (to be finished later) Fatal Flaw: June doesn't like being with people, which means she doesn't like receiving help. She will even hurt others around her without much thought. June is a minor sociopath.
Skills Demigod Abilities: ~June is fueled by anger and strives to outdo everyone. This is more of a trait than an ability, but she received it from her father. ~June has immense strength for a girl her size, and also has a way with weapons. ~**The daughter of Ares can learn to fight with a weapon by picking it up.** Weapons: June is skilled in the usage of many weapons, but she only owns a set of four celestial bronze throwing knives and a celestial bronze sword. Her sword, which she named Partner, turns into a ring with a flower on it.
Other: June has a secret desire to find love.

| INACTIVE CHARACTERS - Jake Reed;;Zeus:
-He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud! He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out. Full Name: Jake Reed (He doesn't have a middle name) Nickname/s: Jake likes the name Jake, so that's what he goes by, although he tried to convince his first grade teacher his name was Farts. Also, a few of his best friends joke around, calling him Bob, which is Jake's least favorite name. Name Meaning: Held by the heel Namesake: Jake doesn't have a name sake.
Age: 16 Date of Birth: June 21st
Gender: Male
God Parent: Zeus Mortal Family: Jake was born into a rich family, one that consisted of many actors and writers, singers and dancers, voice overs and agents. His family was a very long line of famous people, and it seemed like Jake would just fit into the line instead of becoming his own person. Jake's mom's name is McKenzie Reed. McKenzie was a dancer, and played the part of the Sugar Plum fairy in the nutcracker. She traveled the world, and that's how she met Zeus. McKenzie never spent much time with Jake, or Jake's brother, but she did spend time with other dancers. Jake's little brother's name is Skylar. Skylar, or Sky, was born to two mortals, and isn't a demigod like his older brother. Currently he's 10, but when Jake left for camp, Sky was 4. Jake's step father, Kyle, was also a dancer. That's how McKenzie met him. They married when Jake was 3, and had Sky a year later. Kyle always liked Jake, and Jake grew to not hate Kyle. Still, Kyle had a secret. (More in Brief History) Claimed: Yes
Years in Camp: 6 Claiming History: Jake was claimed after being in camp for a full four months. Zeus didn't really notice that his son had arrived, since Jake liked to stay out of the spotlight, and spent his time blending in. When Zeus noticed Jake was at camp, he was claimed during dinner. Soon, Jake came out of his shell and enjoyed the attention. Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round, though he visits his family on holidays.
Brief History: All around me adults picked at my sparkly costume. Personally, I wanted to throw the thing off and set it on fire, but I wouldn't to that around all of my dance teachers. They worked hard with me, and if they see me brake another thing, my mom would have to pay for it. "Why is everyone acting like this recital is such a big deal?" I asked one of the many girls in the studio's classes. The girl only laughed, then turned and talked to another girl. There were no boys here to talk to. I found that out a while ago. Most of the audience's eyes were always on me, even though I wasn't the best dancer out there. I was probably the best hip-hop dancer, but that was a completely different dance then the sparkly one. Most of the girls were jealous of me, as I was the one who hogged the spotlight, whatever that meant. I didn't hug anything, even my mom. I didn't hug any spotlight. These girls were jealous over nothing. "Oh! Jake, your next! Why don't you line up behind these lovely girls. They'd be honored." An old lady pushed me into a completely wrong spot, and there wasn't time to fix anything. I could only walk out wearing my sparkly leotard. The crowd went into a furry of "Awwww!"'s when they saw me and I rolled my eyes. I wasn't even dancing, I was just standing there like an idiot. "STOP STARING AT ME!" I shouted, and everyone stopped dancing. I was standing front in center, somehow back in my regular spot. The entire crowd gasped at my outburst, and I explained how much I hated dancing anything but hip hop. My mom burst into tears, and my step father patted her back, giving me the evil eye. My teachers where writing something on a piece of paper, and only one person in the audience was staring at me in awe. She jumped up and rushed over, tugging on my arm before I realized that I was floating in the air. As the girl yanked me out, several people in the audience whispered, "Where did he even get a latter." One of them argued that I had a rope, and it had dropped from the ceiling. They seemed to think it had all been an act, and they loved it! I had been yelling for Pete's sake! These people were too stupid to realize that, and it was fine with me. The girl told me I was leaving. Let me leave. This town didn't have anything for me anymore.
Jake was born to McKenzie Reed and Zeus, lord of the sky, on June 21st. He was forced to attend numerous dance classes, which were so not his thing, and he was that little boy that all the adults wanted to pinch. He loved the spotlight, but didn't like being the center of attention. It put too much pressure on him. His only true calling in a dance was hip hop, and that was the only thing he enjoyed about his classes.
When Jake turned 3, his mom found a love interest, and they married after 4 months of dating. Jake always got along well with his step father, Kyle, and Jake almost let Kyle take Zeus's place as his dad. That was before a storm came, and Kyle wouldn't let his stepson go outside. His excuse was that it was too dangerous, but Jake got that there was something more. Kyle simply wanted to be the man of the house, and he didn't think that letting a three year old out in a storm would score him very high points with his new wife. Jake ignored the warning though, and snuck out of the house to play. The rain made him strong, and washed away his troubles. The boy was only 3, but he could understand things when he was in the rain. Out in the rain, though, Jake wondered off and found himself in the park. The rain was pouring down so hard, he could barely see anything, but he did see a man in a trench coat, about 6'10", holding something that looked like a sword. When Jake tried to walk closer, he saw that it was just a tree with an odd branch sticking out, so Jake ran home. The next day Jake went back, only to find that the tree was gone, and there was no signs of a tree ever being there.
A few years later, Jake's little brother was born to McKenzie Greenhousen and Kyle Greenhousen. Sky was a lot like Jake, and Jake found it extremely easy to get along with the young one. While Sky didn't have to take dance like Jake, they did almost everything together, despite the 4 year age difference. Sky often reported seeing a tall man holding a package outside his window, though, and everyone but Jake seemed to think the child was insane. The son of Zeus decided to talk to Skylar about it, and they had the following discussion: JR: Tell me exactly what you're seeing, Sky. SG: A tall man with a beard. He's strong, and he just floats in the sky. JR: What is he holding? SG: A package. But when it rains, I see him holding a sword. JR: Does he notice you? SG: Yes. He talks to me. JR: What does he say, Sky?!? WHAT DOES HE SAY? SG: I don't know! JR: WHAT DOES HE SAY? SG: He asks about you. I don't answer. I don't . . . Answer. JR: Does he say why he asks about me? SG: He just asks if his son is safe. He says he doesn't trust my dad. I think he really is your dad, Jake. He says that he is a god. I don't even know what he means, but I haven't gone near my dad in a couple months. JR: Sky, I think we're going to have to talk to this man.
Jake tried to talk to the figure several times, but he never could. It always turned out to be his eyes playing tricks on him. After a couple months of trying to figure out where he couple talk to the man, Jake gave up and moved to the topic of his stepfather. After looking into it, Jake discovered the truth. Kyle wasn't to be trusted, considering that he was a mortal, but a seer. Kyle supported Kronos, and wanted the gods to go down so hard they rot in Tartarus. Jake tried confronting his stepfather, showing him the files Jake had found, but Kyle only denied everything, an innocent smile on his face.
One night, while attending a dance recital, Jake's true parent was revealed, and a satyrress appeared to take the boy to camp. After arriving, Jake realized that he belonged at camp, and Sky would just have to deal with growing up with the evil dad thing. After a year of research around camp, he realized another thing: The man that kept appearing was Zeus. Zeus wasn't allowed to have direct contact with his children. He had to ask Sky, who wouldn't answer, about his endangered son. The mere thought of a father who couldn't help his son made Jake sad, but he quickly got over it, because Jake isn't the type to linger on things for too long.
The rest of his time at camp, Jake did nothing but clawed his way to the top. He strongly wanted to be the most popular kid at camp, and the only thing he had to impress others was the talents his parents gave him. His hip hop dancing and Zeus talents did work though, and now most of the camp knows who Jake is, though he isn't as popular as the Cabin Leaders.
One battle, Jake got hurt. He was fighting a demigod and winning, but they brought up his stepfather. Jake stopped fighting immediately, frozen in his own world. Sky was back with the evil dad, while he was living in a somewhat safe home with people who cared about him. Jake let his guard down completely, and the opponent struck him in the back. Jake now has a long scar running from the middle of his back to his waist.
Physical Appearance: Jake's hair is blond. He is a full blown blondie, like a couple of his siblings, and gets it from his mom and from Zeus. His roots are extremely brown, and they spread through his all of his hair, giving him more dirty blond then beach blond. His hair is cut short, but it hangs loosely around his head in a very unique way. It seems to be messy, but it is really electrified. It is full of electricity, which makes it stand up at odd angles.
Jake's eyes are gray, and appear blue when he's using his powers. They are more of a sea green than actual gray, but at first glance they appear silvery. They are glossy, or shiny as Jake says, and they have small lightning blots shooting through their irises, which isn't normal. That is because he has so much dormant energy in him that it travels all through him, and can be seen in his eyes. Just above Jake's eyes are his brown eyebrows. It isn't odd for people with dirty blond hair to have brown eyebrows, but it does appear strange.
Jake's ears are slightly elfish at the top, and curved at the bottom. His left ear is pierced, and he believes in the saying, "Left is right and Right is wrong." His mouth is also extremely large, but he doesn't talk a lot, so it doesn't make since. He has average skin that isn't tan or pale, but closer to a fair complexion than an olive one. His style is classic rebel, and he has never worn his camp shirt, except for when he wasn't at camp to show off. Jake is 5'10", standing slightly higher than the average height, but not extremely tall. He isn't that heavy, weighing only 130, which isn't very heavy for a boy of his age, but he isn't a skinny rod. He has evenly toned muscles from dancing and workouts, which give him a lot of muscle weight verses fat weight. He also has that scar from the battle, running from the middle of his back, straight down to his waist.
Jake overall has an athletic build, but without the complete "buffness" and tan.
Personality: Jake is a natural leader, because he has extreme courage and bravery. He can take control well, and has a strong aura to him. He always volunteers to give himself, and would choose his friends life over him every time. He can be overconfident, though and overestimates himself.
Jake is your typical rebel, and he has no consideration for rules. He brakes rules, regulations, and laws without a care, and stands up for what he believes in. He is a bad boy, and doesn't like doing what he is told, or having boundaries set on what he can and can't do, which only adds to what image people see him as. Most people don't think as highly of him when they see him pull pranks or brake laws, but he does get some respect for his willingness to do what he wants.
The son of Zeus is the strong, silent type. Jake often can't find words to express what he's feeling, so he tends to remain quiet. He does like to joke around, but he doesn't run his mouth 24/7, or try to show everyone that he is the best. He likes to be the center of attention, but he'd rather show you what he can do than tell you. He strongly believes in the idea, "Actions speak louder than words." He lets either his powers, his strength, or his dancing to speak over him, instead of becoming outspoken. He doesn't set his expectations for things very high, making him easily amused.
Jake hates it when people do something to hurt another on purpose, and never forgets a person that is rude to his friends. He will call out anyone who steps out of line when criticizing someone else, especially close friends, and he is most annoyed by people who don't know what they're talking about, AKA know-it-alls. He is very loyal to his friends, which he gets from his dad, and he will do anything, even die, if it means someone close and innocent will remain alive and safe. He has constant fears that he will get someone killed, like what might happen to his brother, so he does everything he can to protect friends and family. He is a loving young man, and is a big brother to almost everyone he meets. (Figuratively.) Fatal Flaw: Jake gets angered easily, and has very little impulse control, leading him to do very stupid things when he gets angry or excited.
Pets: Jake doesn't have a pet.
Demigod Abilities: ~Being a Zeus kid, Jake has powers beyond the other demigods. His main power is his ability to fly. He isn't strong in flying, and he will fly when he doesn't mean to, and not fly when he does, but Jake does have to ability. He can't make himself fly or not fly, because he hasn't learned how to channel the power's energy, but during random times, he might be floating around, waving his arms and trying to come down. ~Jake can also create energy, which is why he has sparks running all through him. He can't create lightning or storms, but he can make energy. ~He has very strong leadership skills, and can easily lead a group. ~Jake's ADHD and dyslexia are minor, but he never reads, so his dyslexia doesn't matter. ~Jake is a skilled fighter, and has his own unique fighting style. Weapons: Jake has a sword, Electrify, which is able to channel his electricity, and use that to power his shots. He just needs to create energy while holding the hilt, and the hilt absorbs his energy and runs it all along the entire weapon. The material is celestial bronze, but it transfers energy well.
Other: Jake will be my last Big Three character I make, and I plan on keeping him until I need to change him out. If I don't need to change him out, I'll keep him forever. If there is an option to get two Big Threes, can I have changed him out, Jake will come back. Also, related to roleplay, Jake has a strange allergy towards strawberries. Though it hardly ever comes up, there are some things he can't eat or drink because of it. -I am in misery! There ain't no other who can comfort me! Why won't you answer me? The silence is slowly killing me! - Maya Logaine;;Khione:
-I walked across an empty land. I knew the pathway like the back of my hand. I felt the earth beneath my feet. Sat by the river and it made me complete! Maya Logaine [daughter of Khione; goddess of ice and snow.] Full Name (Including Middle): Maya Jace Logaine Nickname/s: Some girls call her May, and most of her guys friends call her Jace, but Maya still refers to herself as Maya. Name Meaning: Mother, Great One, Illusion Namesake: Maya happens to share her name with her 1st grade teacher, but that was pure coincidence.
Age: 17 Date of Birth: January 25th
Gender: Female
God Parent: Khione Mortal Family:
Liam Rudolph Logaine; Liam, a unpublished author, lives in Port Angeles, Washington. This city, having been mentioned in the Twilight saga, attracts some tourists, but remains cold and rainy. It hardly snows, mostly because of Maya, but Liam enjoys living there. He owns the family books store, Logaine Readings, and he earns a sustainable income from working there. Liam, being only 35 years old, is a tall man, with slightly exhausted and small muscles, and a shining personality. The gods believe that it's Liam's positive outlook, and the warmth of his always eternal love and protection of Maya that gave his daughter her unique power. Also, Liam's favorite game to play is Twister, because of how easily he can beat his opponents. (Before Liam had Maya, he was into gymnastics, but he gave that up for his daughter.) Hannah Maya Logaine; Nothing's better than being named after your sister. Hannah is the daughter of Liam Logaine only, because she was adopted after her first adopted family, Kylie and Christopher Barfield, was killed in a freak factory accident. Maya and Liam don't know much about Hannah's past, because she went mute after the tragic event that killed the two people she held so dear. For the 3 full years that Hannah has been living above Logaine Readings, she's never once spoken a word. The only sign of acknowledgement that the little orphan ever gave her two new family members was a thankful smile when she first moved in. Every now and then, Hannah and Maya sit in the small living room and dance to music, but it's rare that Hannah allows herself to be outgoing enough to dance with another person around. When she's in her room, though, the young girl of 14 dances to a CD her deceased adopted father recorded for her when she came to live at the Barfield's. Her dance skill is heightened by her dream of being a figure skater. Khione's Human Form; When Liam first met his future lover, she was attempting to bring winter to Port Angeles. Nothing had ever troubled her so greatly. It confused the goddess, who was, and always will be, short tempered and used to getting her own way. Upset and wearily tired, Khione changed from her true, bright goddess form into a frail, pale skinned, human being. Sucking up her pride and resistance towards asking mortals for help, Khione entered Liam's book store, where a young and warm man only described as pleasantly perfect met her with a heart-wrenching smile. For the first time in years, Khione felt herself falling weak for an average mortal. The almost-mortal goddess was welcomed into Liam's condominium upstairs. The rest is history, as is Khione's mortal being, which she names herself Khi. (k-I) Claimed: No
Years in Camp: Maya has been at camp since the middle of the summer, but she is a loner. Claiming History: Khione hasn't claimed Maya yet. Year-Round or Summer: Maya isn't sure whether she ever wants to return to her old life, but she misses her father immensely.
Brief History:
Maya was born on January 25th to the goddess Khione, and a young bookseller Liam Logaine. At the time, Liam was training to be an Olympic gymnast, but it wasn't hard for him to give up this dream for his daughter, because his sites were never really set on making it to the games. Khione, or Khi as she introduced herself, stuck around for only a few months, until Maya could survive without her, then left without saying her goodbyes. The story Maya always heard growing up was that her mother had gone out to the park one day and never returned. Liam knew it wouldn't work forever, because once his daughter grew older she would see all the holes in the tale, but it soothed his aching heart for the time being, and kept the young demigod from asking questions.
As Maya aged, so did her unwillingness to read. Though the Logaines owned and lived above a popular bookstore, Logaine Readings, it didn't prevent the kindergartener from developing a severe case of dyslexia. Liam was sure it was a sign of him doing wrong. In a flustered attempt to keep Maya intellectually average, the young father created a reading schedule. Maya had to read 3 hours out of the day, while sitting fumbling with a simple sentence in an even simpler book.
This was how the Khione kid spent most of her days growing up into a 10 year old. That was when her curses started to kick in. The talents were special beyond words, and powerful beyond imagination, but it sent nothing but torture to Maya's carefree life. Something bad always followed her, but strangely, something was always there to save her. Life or death situations weren't as uncommon as they should be around a girl of Maya's age. Monsters that no one else could see attacked. Beasts that could only be described as spirits haunted her after hours. Filthy mortals tried to do Maya harm. None of them ever succeeded, though, because of a boy in his late teens. Every time Maya was in trouble, he would be there to save her life. Because of the stranger she eventually started calling her friend, Miss Logaine lived through things the fates didn't mean for her to live through. Nothing seemed to frighten her as she neared the age of thirteen. She didn't have anything to worry about, after all, with her handsome protector. Maya was always too young and naive to question it, though. The boy was nothing more than a friendly stranger, possibly a second father that only came to visit. The innocent girl wasn't one to question things when she was still growing. Her life was normal. It had to be.
The first time Maya ever rode on a plane, she was the simple age of 14. Demigods weren't safe on planes, unless their godly parent dealt with the air. Liam knew it was quite dangerous to take his young daughter aboard, but he was also aware of Maya's savior. Unannounced to the first daughter of Liam, her entire life would be revealed to her over the next couple of years. The plane flight was a pivotal turning point in Maya's life, thought it started out like any other. The chaos came when the snack cart wielder spun her cart in a tight circle and spears shot out of the wheels like ancient axles. The "Snack Lady"changed then. Only a few people seemed to notice the change. Maya wasn't sure if it was because the chaos was so distracting, or because, like the monsters her savior often turned to dust, she wasn't real to normal people. The Snack Lady had turned a sickly pale shade of green. Her hair had erupted into flames, but they didn't spread, almost as if her whole hair was fire. The perfectly manicured fingernails that once handed out drinks had now grown into sharp claws. Worst of all, a long snake tail replaced the legs Snack Lady once walked on. Maya's memory of this event is fuzzy, but not wishing to waste any time, Liam and Maya's Guardian worked out a certain agreement, finding each other from across the plane. The young Guardian scrambled out of his seat, gently picked up Maya, and opened the window of the plane. Pushing his legs through first, the man leaped out.
The next day, Maya and her "friend" met Liam at the airport. The god who protected the cursed girl proudly handed Maya over to her father. He had kept any details of the flight out of Maya's head, though she was entering the age where she started to catch on extremely quickly, and question everything, but she seemed to notice the urgency that the flight had brought, and didn't ask anything, though her mind ached with a desire to learn. The rest of the makeshift vacation in Chicago was spent picking up the newest member of the Logaine family and attempting to get to know their new, mute, family member. Her name was Hannah. She had suffered through the death of two sets of parents. She wanted a bunny. That was everything Maya knew about her sister, and the only things she would ever really know. It troubled Liam that his new daughter didn't share things openly with her own family, but he understood what kind of pain the small 11 year old was going through, since both of his parents were dead. Hannah enjoyed living with the Logaines, but she was so distraught, they father and daughter would never know.
Three easy years passed, and Maya only saw her savior twice. That was unusual, since someone usually tried to harm the Khione girl about once every 3 days, but both Maya and Liam were grateful for the safety. Hannah seemed grateful for the stress less period, as well, because she didn't show any signs of anxiety. One night though, after a night out with two of her school friends, though, Maya's guardian savior was forced to show himself again. A dirtbag wanted Maya, and the only thing that kept her safe was the boy who was always there for her, ready to keep her alive at all costs. It was that night, the night after Maya's 17th birthday, that her savior finally introduced himself fully. His name was Dinlas. He was the god of hatred, and in the past, he had destroyed a city he meant to protect. As punishment, he was forced to walk the mortal earth forever. Because he was a god banished to the mortal world, he also became a guardian. Maya was his "client." He had to keep her alive at all costs. It was the only beneficial thing Dinlas had done. He felt like he was actually serving a purpose when he kept Maya alive. Maya didn't understand anything Dinlas had told her that night, because she was sure gods weren't real. She was also confused about the way she felt towards her never aging guardian. Something deep inside of the girl told her heart she loved him, but that was impossible. He was a god; maybe. She was nothing but a girl he had to protect. When she fainted, he was there to catch her.
Over the next couple of days, Maya recovered from her intense night. It didn't take long for Dinlas to flat out knock on the Logaine's door. He had to take Maya for camp. It was an order he had been given, since he had accidentally let it slip that gods existed. Maya didn't understand, but she followed Dinlas. Her goodbyes were quick and emotionless, because the teenage girl was willing to follow her god anywhere. She trusted him, and he was her Guardian.
At camp, Maya was shocked to realize her mother was a goddess. Though no goddess stepped up to claim her, the friend of gods made herself comfortable in the Hermes Cabin. She was content to just remain at camp and never face her family again, though she knew it wasn't that easy. She wanted to meet up with Dinlas again, but he wasn't allowed inside the camp, since it was a place claimed by Olympus. Until Maya went home to her father and sister, she wouldn't see her friend.
The first battle Maya took part in startled her. She had no training whatsoever, and she was expected to kill an enemy she knew nothing about. Maya didn't kill anyone, she didn't do serious harm to anyone either, but she figured out how to wield a sword and used that to her advantage. The ADHD she always saw as another one of her many powerful curses had really done her good that day. Dinlas had to hear about the battle, though, instead of acting as a shield to the girl he longed to guard. Maya was sure Dinlas had forgot about her. Dinlas was sure Maya didn't miss him. Both were wrong in their own horribly sad way.
Physical Appearance:
Maya's hair is an extremely light shade of brown. It's naturally extremely silky, soft, and straight, which could make an Aphrodite girl jealous, but from the way Maya wears her hair, you wouldn't think there's anything beautiful about it. Keeping it in a seemingly flawless and smooth bun, Maya does her best to try and make it clear there's nothing too extraordinary about her. She doesn't want to make herself look like a prize, because she still wants Dinlas. The daughter of Khione knows that Dinlas has seen her with her hair styled, and that's all that really matters. Her gently bun works for comfy days, and elegant occasions. When a strand of hair or two falls free, Maya tends to let them hang there. They frame her face nicely. Underneath her light shade of almost blonde silk is a darker shade of brown, one that highlights only the bottom layer of the girl's thin hair.
Maya's eyes are a striking, absorbing, saddened shade of dark blue. They can't be described as pools like the girl wants, and they can't easily be compared to the sky--night or day--but they are definitely blue. Like raging river, her eyes churn with anger and despair instead of gentle calm brown eyed girls can provide. The shade of her eyes is almost so unsettling, it seems unnatural, but something about her eyes also makes snow melt before her. It's a warm gaze, filled with love and fiery passion. The shape of her eyes are like ovals that extend into a steep hill at the top. This description doesn't do them justice. Her eyes are rather like almonds with a thicker width. The top of her eyes extend upwards, forming a slightly different shape then most. The way her eyes are shaped, Maya always looks hopeful, which isn't true at all. In ways, it never hides her fear, either.
The eyebrows that start on the bridge of Maya's button nose arch naturally where her own eye arches, but other than that, her blonde eyebrows are lifeless and dull. The demigod used to want to wax them to fill her face with a little more shape, but decided against it when she learned that heat is involved. One thing Maya did do to them, though, was color them. This was accidental, because she meant to grab shampoo, but Maya went with the unnatural blonde coloring. Her eyebrows had been extremely brown, which she misses on occasion, but the change was a welcome one.
Maya's nose, as mentioned before, is petite like the rest of her. It's cute like a little button, with a nice roundness to it, and two small curves on either side to allow room for her nostrils. Her skin is horribly pale, which she gets from genetics, and from living in Washington. Her mother is extremely pale, and there's hardly any sunlight in Port Angeles, which combine to bring Maya skin as fair as the snow Maya can never touch. Her cheekbones are defined and curved, but don't force her skin to tighten around her face. Her face is long, and her head is slightly oval shaped. Her lips are full and round, almost perfect, but too natural to be perfect. The entire overall appearance of her face is young, and that is enhanced by the few scattered freckles that hardly dot her face.
Personality:
Maya is young at heart, but her juvenile youth is slowly fading as she faces more and more hardships. She knows that, but it's hard for her to except the truth. The doesn't want to believe she's any different than the day she was born, and she doesn't welcome change kindly. Though she'll sit idly by and watch life veer of the course she planned for it to travel on, all Maya wants to go is gain control. Maya is smart, mostly from reading all of the books Liam wanted her to struggle through, and she knows she has to accept the way she changes, even if it means slipping away and discovering a new Maya Jace Logaine.
Maya, no matter how protected by Dinlas, is both strong and weak. The child resorts to crying. She's a crier and she'll admit it, but she's quiet, and not attention seeking. If she's crying, she won't be sobbing at the top of her lungs. That doesn't mean she'll try and hide what she's feeling. Anger hasn't ever gotten the better of her, because Maya is normally excellent at handling hate, but sadness is a welcome friend. The daughter of Khione is emotional like her mother, and but isn't nearly as easily hurt and offended. Maya can face a dangerous situation with a friend, and she isn't hard to please, which is why she finds comfort in Dinlas. All she needs is a rock to strengthen her, and she'll surprise you with how brave she can really be.
While she isn't one to be loyal in an extreme way, Maya knows when to put who first. It's one of the instincts she picked up while reading. From her favorite book characters, she developed several major character traits. She got used to reading about them and managed to adapt their way of life into her own life. From Robin Hood, she learned it's okay the break the rules if you know what you're doing is right. Maya does appear to be a strict rule follower, but she really isn't. She wants to do what's right, but she understands that the rules aren't always right. Some people can just write things down and call them rules. Maya catches on quickly. She understands things better than she lets on. From Harry Potter she learned that friends are more important than any form of power or type of control. Maya tried desperately to incorporate this into her life, but since she has people problems, the only friends she ever earned didn't mean the world to her. From The Cat in the Hat, Maya learned her favorite lesson of all. Sometimes, no matter the situation, you need to remain worry free. Occasionally, you can even let loose completely. There's nothing wrong with being careless.
Maya is a very gentle person, who doesn't often hurt anything. She's never been in a commitment, and she knows she would do bad in one. Relationships overall confuse her, because she knows she must devote herself to one person without knowing how they will turn out in the end. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, but she's deathly afraid of having her own heart broken. While it's hard for her to imagine, someone won't break Maya's heart, but when it comes to her feelings, the daughter of Khione is hopelessly lost. She wants to make sure the person she ends up with loves her for her, but Maya isn't sure how to know.
Upon first meeting someone, Maya gives everyone a clean slate. She doesn't easily develop opinions or feelings towards them, and wishes to give them equal opportunities at being close to her. If they aren't good people, she won't like them because of it, but if they really are good people that others just don't like, she wants to make sure they have a chance. Maya has a good grip on things, which is how she can control how she views things so well, but when that grip slips away, so does her calm nature. If she's pushed over the edge, she isn't the same, nonjudgmental girl. When she has no control, Maya is extremely close in nature to her mother, which is a scary thought. Fatal Flaw:
Maya is powerful. She has curses that were bestowed on her for a reason. Maya's fatal flaw is quite unusual, because it doesn't quite have to do with her personality. The daughter of Khione is destined to fall in love someday. It's a part of her fate. But she was also given a guardian. Her guardian is a god. That is uncommon. Maya relies completely on the powers of the gods, especially her guardian, Dinlas. With such a strong belief in the gods, Maya is left vulnerable in so many ways, because Dinlas has his weaknesses that can't help Maya. She can overpower him easier than she could ever imagine, but her powers/curses won't do her any good in anything but topping the gods. Dinlas is her life. Maya can't imagine not having him as a safety line. And that is how Maya was born to die.
Roleplay Sample:
It felt like the walls were closing in on me. I had never actually been followed by anyone--pursued by anyone dangerous--before. Still, I wasn't afraid, just anxious. Someone was bound to swoop in and save me. My dangerous situations always worked out that way. It left me with no fears, but the encounter that night seemed to be extremely livid. Before then, nothing had really made me nervous.
My breath came out in ragged gasps. The dirty man closing in on me cast a shadow over his face with the hood of his thick jacket. All I could see was a devious smirk plastered on his rough face. I knew that look. I had seen that kind of tortured yearning on TV; when I was allowed to watch TV instead of trying to decipher books. I opened my mouth, but no sound came out. This was normally about the time my savior showed himself. It was always the same guy every time. I could describe him without even giving it much thought. His heroic image was impossible to forget. Actually, every time he came to my rescue, it felt like someone had punched me in the gut, and he was the only one who could make the pain go away. There was also something about him that I couldn't explain. The boy--guy--had a certain overprotective air to him; towards me.
"Back off!" I shouted, holding my hands out as a last resort. "My friend's coming to save me. He'll hurt you if I just give him the word!" I lost all hope about then. There didn't seem to be any chance of my escape; at least, not until the man was done with me. "Please, I can hurt you myself! If my friend doesn't show--"
The pursuer interrupted me with a strangled laugh. "I know that trick, sweets. Just relax," he commented as he pulled his hood down, and winked at me through a filthy face. He had horrible stubble, and dirt smeared across his brow. The man was obviously at least in his 30's, and homeless. While my heart told me to take pity on him, my instincts warned me of the danger I was in. "Things will go much easier for you if you give in."
Suddenly he dropped to the ground. Standing behind him, smiling as usual, was my "friend." "Miss me, Logaine?" he asked, stepping over the dirtbag. I blushed and laughed lightly as the mysterious savior wrapped me in a tight hug. "You're safe, don't cry," he added, combing down my hair with his hand. Apparently tears were rolling down my cheeks, but I hadn't noticed. The safety he radiated filled me with warmth, but I couldn't allow myself to stay in his arms.
Prying myself from his arms, I titled my head slightly to the left. My tears had dried, as water near me usually did. "I don't know you," I tried to explain. Of course I knew him, but that was besides the point. The boy, who looked around 19, had never even told me his name. "I'm glad you always manage to keep me alive, but . . ." Pushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear, I let out an exhausted sigh. "You never bothered to even tell me your name." Looking down at my feet in embarrassment, I waited for him to leave me as he always did.
"Logaine, you do know me!" When I shook my head slowly, the god lightly took hold of my shoulders. "My name's Dinlas! I'm the god of hatred, but I don't hate. I'm a guardian. I'm your guardian! I guarded an ancient town built to harbor Greeks wounded during battle. Ares got into my mind and convinced me to destroy the entire city. As punishment, I was stuck with god of hatred, because the gods felt so strongly towards me. Even my mother, Aphrodite, can't stand me. I'm forced to walk the earth forever. I can't enter Olympus, and I'm a guardian, like I said before. I'm close to 110 years old, but for humans, I'm 19. You're the only mortal whose ever tolerated me." Pausing for dramatic effect, Dinlas went on. "Take care of yourself until I come back, will you?" my god finished with a real smile and laugh. As he turned and walked away, I stood stunned. It was already 11 o'clock. Dad and Hannah would be worried, but I couldn't get over what Dinlas had just told me.
It sounded like a life story, but that was impossible. He said he was a god! He said his mother was Aphrodite! If gods existed, I would probably have picked Aphrodite to be his mother, because of his charm and loving nature, but gods are myths. It was simply impossible for Dinlas to be telling the truth. Dinlas couldn't be his name either. That wasn't a normal name. Dinlas. Impossible. Impossible. Impossible. Then there was the fact that he said he was my guardian. I didn't need a guardian. I could handle myself.
Everything raced through my head so quickly, I had to sit down. I was getting dizzy. As everything around me faded, the last thing I remembered was Dinlas suddenly being next to me to catch me when I fell. The speed he had came to me seemed IMPOSSIBLE, like everything else, but I couldn't dwell on it for long, because I had passed out. When I woke up, I was in my bed, and it was morning.
Pets:
Maya has no pets, though she's saving her spare change to buy Hannah a bunny.
Demigod Abilities:
Anti-Snow Curse: This is Maya's most powerful curse. It overpowers that of most. In some cases, it over powers the gods. Maya simply drives away snow. She's never known any different. She is the opposite of her mother. She doesn't drive away cold. She doesn't drive away rain. Maya views this as a curse, because she never gets to play in the snow, but those who hate the wintery precipitation would be glad to have Maya around. Her curse can stretch out as far as she lures it to extend, but Maya never lures it to extend. She draws her curse as close to her as possible as forces it to hug her body. While this can be viewed as an act of trying to allow others to enjoy the snow, it's her desperate try to bring snow as close to her as possible. There will always be a barrier between them, though, and Maya can only try and fight it. Animal Curse: There are plenty of animals associated with the snow. Maya is blessed with the ability of being able to turn into them, like her mother can, but she must also serve them whenever they have a request. Yes, Maya is a shape shifter in a very minor form, but she is also a servant to those animals who choose to associate themselves with ice or snow. There's nothing Maya can do to defy what an ice animal orders. It's her curse. Temperature Curse: The temperature around Maya changes constantly. It never raises from room temperature, but it will drop drastically, until she can't stand the cold and it feels like she's burning. The young daughter of Khione is the only one who seems to notice temperature changes, so Maya decided that the temperature only changes in her. It's unbearable when it gets cold enough, and she's been known to scream at random times out of the torture. Dinlas is the only one who understands these agonizing shrieks. It kills him that he can't do anything to help her, but Maya's curses are beyond even a god's reach. Even it Zeus had a motive to protect her, there's nothing he could do. Maya's curses are locked. Weapons:
Even though Maya doesn't trust herself with a weapon, but since she always want to be ready, her purple hair clipy turns into her beautifully long and slender Celestial Bronze sword. This, she named κατάρα, because it translates to curse.
Other:
Dinlas and Maya are eventually going to fall in love, but they won't have children. They would be too overpowered. (Though maybe I'll find something to work.) Dinlas is a real god, but he takes the form of a 19 year old, so it's unlikely he has any children. I chose him for those reasons. His color is #25383C, and his play-by is Drew Roy. (Though Dinlas' smile is warmer than Drew often poses with.) I know I've kind of made a character out of Dinlas, but he's a big part of Maya's story. I hope you all understand. -And if you have a minute, why don't we go: Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything so, Why don't we go somewhere only we know? - Ollie Lawrenceson;;Aether:
Ollie stomped up to his room, slamming the door closed. "Oliver! Oliver, you have to understand!" Ms. Thaxler called, knocking on the door. Ms. Thaxler was the woman who helped out with the orphanage. She was like a grandmother to the kids here. Ollie threw his clothes into his bag. "Go away!" he yelled. Once again, he had been returned by his newest foster parents. "Oliver...why do you keep causing so much trouble?" Ms. Thaxler asked. Ollie stopped in the middle of his packing. He walked over to the door and opened it. He stared up at the woman he had grown so used to. She was old, appearing to be in her late fifties. Her hair was black with strands of gray. She had laugh lines and various wrinkles across her face by age. Ollie glanced up at her. "I...I don't know why this stuff keeps happening. But I'm not causing it," Ollie said in a pleading voice. Ms Thaxler looked at Oliver with a sympathetic gaze. "Ollie...I'm very sorry for you bu-" "I don't need your sympathy!" Oliver snapped. He had his bags packed with the few things he still owned. Ollie slung the bag over his shoulder and stepped towards the window. "Oliver, what are you doing?" Ms. Thaxler asked in a slightly demanding voice. Oliver stopped, keeping his back to the old woman. "Leaving.." he said rather bluntly. Without another word. Ollie pulled the window open and jumped out. Thankfully, his room was on the fire escape, so he simply climbed down. Ms. Thaxler stood at the window, demanding he come back inside. However, Oliver didn't listen. He just kept walking, not wanting another thing to do with that orphanage or the foster care system. Aether, god of the upper air and light Mortal Parent:
Years at Camp:
This is his first year at Camp Half-Blood. Brief History:
Ollie was born in New York City. His mother was a loving person. Flawed, but she tried her best. She worked constantly to try and keep her two children, Ollie and Marie, safe and healthy. Soon, desperate for money to keep her family well, Ophelia began doing illegal things. She became a drug dealer and smuggler, as well as the provider for other dealers, since she worked at a hospital as a nurse, pain killers were easy to come by. However, Ollie’s mother soon got involved with the wrong people. She began feeling bad, doing the illegal things she was doing. She attempted to stop, to cut herself and her buyers off. However, people who buy drugs don’t take rejection well. They started threatening her. It wasn’t too bad at first. Menacing phone calls, threatening letters. Nothing too serious. However, soon people began to take things further. Her car windows were smashed, bricks were thrown into their house. And one day, someone took things a little too far. They took little Marie, Ollie’s younger sister, away from him and his mother. Ophelia was devastated. She soon fell into depression and locked herself away. Two months later, Ollie’s mother had killed herself, leaving Ollie alone. Ollie began wandering the streets. He was young at that point, only being about seven years old. Ollie lived on the streets for five years. Every now and then, someone would take pity on him and invite him into their home or buy him dinner. It was a difficult life, but Ollie made the best of it. He was quite musically gifted, even as a young child. He’d perform for money, attempting to make enough to buy food for that day. However, one day, a police officer stopped him while he was performing. “Did you know it’s illegal to solicit money in New York?” the officer had asked. After questioning, the police learned that Ollie was an orphan with no home. Much to Ollie’s chagrin, they sent him into the foster care system. He was adopted a few times, but because of the growing threat of monsters, most believed him to be too much trouble. They “returned” him...as though he was a toaster from Wal•Mart. Ollie escaped from the orphanage one day. He was tired of being rejected and decided that living on the streets was better. However, because he was 15 at this point, the threat of monsters had grown greater and greater. Ollie was found by a group of demigods that were on a quest. They took him to Camp Half-Blood, where he found out he was a half-blood. He was claimed briefly after. Physical Appearance:
Ollie stands at about 5’6” in height. He has a rather scrawny build, since having muscles is simply a dream for him. Ollie has thin, broad shoulders, gangly arms and legs and a long torso. He’s not extremely tall, but he does appear taller than he is because both his legs, arms, and torso is long. Ollie has big hands and big feet, which only look bigger because of his thin arms and legs. Ollie has a long, round face. His nose is a bit larger, but doesn’t appear to be too big. He has lightly tanned skin from spending so much time outside, but still can be considered pale by today’s standards. Ollie has thin lips that are often turned up in a slight smile. Ollie has deep, warm golden eyes, like the glow of the sun. It’s as if one gaze from them warms your entire body. Ollie’s eyes are thin and almond shaped. They are framed by thin, dark lashes. Above his eyes are his thick, dark brown eyebrows. Ollie’s hair is short, dark brown, almost black. He hardly ever lets his hair gets long, since he finds it to be a hassle. He has bangs that brush across his forehead. However, none of his hair covered his eyes. His hair is very curly and wavy. It flips out in random places on his head, but he doesn’t care very much. Ollie tends to wear simple clothing. Jeans and plaid t-shirts usually fill his wardrobe. The only unique thing about his clothing choice are his socks. He always wears interesting or “fun socks”. He’ll also often roll the very bottom of his pants up so that other’s can admire his socks. Personality:
Ollie is calm, level headed, and kind. He tends to be rather soft spoken and can be considered shy and slightly awkward. He tends to get rather embarrassed around people. He gets very clumsy and ends up tripping over everything in sight, even simply his own two feet. Ollie attempts to see the bright side of everything, which tends to make him a bit naive. He’ll see something bad and try and turn it into something good or helpful, this often makes others think he’s weird or strange. However, people simply refer to him as innocent or naive. Ollie, however, is far from it. He’s been through quite a bit, but simply chooses to look at the bright side. However, he doesn’t share his past with people. Whenever he does, they attempt to give him sympathy, but Ollie hates sympathy. That’s the one thing he gets mad at is when people feel bad for him. Ollie is kind and had a light-hearted, goofy sense of humor. He enjoys sarcasm and puns, but not at other’s expense. He is simply a goofy, happy kid that chooses to be just as he is. Ollie tends to bottle up his emotions and frustrations about his past. He simply goes deep into the forest or far away from other people to let his emotions out. He doesn’t like having people near when he lets loose and lets out his anger, he feels is makes him look weak. So, whenever he gets upset, he makes a goofy comment and puts on a facade of happiness until he is alone. Fatal Flaw:
Ollie’s fatal flaw is his chosen innocence and naivety. He almost forces himself to look on the bright side of everything and try and pretend that evil and bad things don’t exist. This will, eventually, lead to his downfall. Whether it be metaphorical or literal downfall. Pets:
Ollie doesn’t have a pet, however, he does love dogs. He’s always wanted a pet but could never afford to have one on his own. Weapons:
Ollie has a simple, celestial bronze sword. It’s two feet long, double edged and nameless. Since he’s not much of a fighter, he doesn’t feel he needs a special weapon. However, if he needs to fight in battle, he does. Although, he’s not very good at it. Talents:
Ollie does have minor light and air control abilities, however, he doesn’t know how to use them just yet. Ollie’s abilities are stronger during the day, but since he hasn’t really explored his powers yet, he had yet to learn the full extent of what he can do. Other:
Ollie is a Year-Rounder. His initials spells “OWL”, which he hates. People often call him “Owl-boy”, “Owllie” or just plain “Owl”. However, he hates the fact that his initials spell “OWL”, so he refrains from telling people his full name as much as possible. Character created by Angel ©

| CHARACTERS WHO PASSED AWAY - Cassie Krest;;Demeter:
Cassie l Krest [daughter of Demeter; goddess of the Harvest] Nickname/s: Cassie doesn't have any nicknames, because she prefers to go by Cassie. Name Meaning: Cassie is a Greek name meaning she who entangles men. Namesake: Cassie's father picked the name for her because of the entangles part, which reminded him of plants. (Mainly vines)
Age: 15 Birthday: May 1st
Gender: Female
God Parent: Demeter Mortal Family: Cassie's father's name is Mortimer Krest. He is a scientist at OSU, where Cassie grew up until she was sent to camp. Claimed: Yuperdoodles
Years in Camp: No time? Try 4 years. Claiming History: Cassie was claimed before she got to camp, but only a couple hours before. Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round, but she brakes for holidays.
Brief History: Cassie was born in 1995 to Mortimer Krest and Demeter, goddess of the Harvest. She always had a way with nature, and only grew during the Spring, which happened to be when Cassie was born. (May 1st). As Cassie grew, she started to discover her particularly above average green thumb, and decided to ask her father how he was with plants. Her father's reply was a chuckle, and a "I'm not an expert, I'll tell you that." Cassie was confused by this statement, because she doubted she just got "lucky." Cassie, being known for giving everything her all, yearned to know more about her mother. That's why, on her tenth birthday, Mortimer gave her a single book, which changed Cassie's life forever. The book was titled, "Demeter: You Think You Have a Green Thumb?" Cassie felt such a strong connection to the book, that she slept with it under her pillow. She had the whole thing memorized in a month.
The next year, Cassie started to figure things out in her head. Demeter often had children with mortals. Mortimer never mentioned Mrs. Krest. AND, Mr. Krest had been the one to give Cassie the Demeter book. It all lead to one thing, Cassie's mom had to be Demeter. After another year of having everything worked out in her head, Cassie bid her dorm room goodbye and told her father where she was going. Mortimer smiled, years of wisdom behind his deep, blue eyes, and encouraged Cassie's decision. "I knew you were a smart one, Cassie. You'll do just fine." Cassie basically just had to jump into the street of the college roads, surrounded by tons of people, and scream, "My mommy's Demeter!" That got the god's attention, and they transported Cassie to camp, where she got settled, and stayed to herself for a while. After she got more used to camp, she started to make more friends, but really the only person she knew was Griffin.
During her death on the battlefield, Demeter, her mother, allowed a pine tree to swallow her, forcing Cassie to become a nymph in order to stay alive. As she thrashed around in attempt not to become a tree, Cassie realized something. The guy she so often hung out with, learned Spanish from, and laughed with was the boy she loved. If the battle really was her death, Griffin would be gone forever. Giving in, Cassie let herself become a tree in her final attempt at keeping Griffin. Luckily, nearly a year later, the transformation was complete, and Cassie became a nymph.
Dwelling: Unlike most nymphs, Cassie actually lives in a cabin. Upon refusing to live in the forest, Cassie was granted permission to sleep in her old bunk in the Demeter cabin. It makes her feel normal, even though she must turn into a tree indoors.
Physical Appearance: Cassie stands at about 5’4” in height. She’s of average weight for her height. Not too big but not too small. She has thin, round shoulders with short arms and small, child-like hands. Cassie has a longer torso and shorter limbs, which she often despises. Unlike those models in magazines, Cassie does not have mile long legs. She simply has normal legs, nothing too special. Cassie has a thin, slightly unshapely figure. However, she is still quite lovely. Cassie’s skin is pale and pure like porcelain. With hardly any blemish, her skin is often the thing that people notice about her. She has slightly chubby cheeks with soft cheek bones, a cleft chin, and a round, petite button nose.
Cassie’s hair cascades in waves and curls down her shoulders. It reaches a bit past her shoulder blades and collar bone. Her hair is red in color with hints of blond and brown. She has long, roughly cut bangs that cover her forehead. Her bangs are the only straight part of her hair. They often cover her eyes, especially when she is upset.
Cassie’s eyes are large, round and innocent, like a child’s. They seem to peer into your soul. Her irises are a dull blue in color with hints of silver around the pupil. Her eyes are framed by thick, light lashes that are often covered with mascara. Cassie has rather tweezed, red eyebrows that are artificially arched.
Cassie tends to wear rather “pretty” clothing. She enjoys dresses, puffy sleeves, flowing shirts, and jewelry. She doesn’t really do her hair much. The only thing she may put in it is her plain, gray head band. Cassie enjoys eccentric clothing. She likes appearing as though she just stepped out of Wonderland. Her favorite color to wear is a pastel blue. She says it brings out her eyes.
Personality: Cassie is an overachiever, and she likes to give everything her all. In school, she attended college level, special attention classes, because her father was a professor, and she learned how you needed to always be ahead of the game. Because of this, she always likes to give everything 110%. You won't find Cassie slacking off.
Cassie is a natural born leader. While she has no intentions of running for Cabin Leader, her brother Cody does a more than fine job of that, she does like to be depended on, and she is a very dependable and trustworthy leader. She is the kind of girl college kids would use as a "diary," so to speak. They told her things when they had no one else to turn to, and they simply expected her to keep things to herself. Luckily, she did, because when it comes to those kinds of things, Cassie is very serious.
Still, Cassie is fun-loving, and loves to let go every once in a while. She is a naturally funny girl, and has a very sarcastic sense of humor. She uses sarcasm whenever she's angry because it's a stress reliever. She feels more relaxed when she can just joke about things. She doesn't think pranks are funny, though, and she prefers kind jokes over rude, naughty ones. Fatal Flaw: Cassie doesn't know what to do when she has a bunch of emotions built up. She can deal with other peoples feelings, but hers are a mystery to her. It's hard to deal with.
Pets: None, Mortimer didn't like animals in person.
Talents: ~Cassie can make almost anything grow, but she has limits when it comes to people. ~She only grows during the Spring, which explains why she's so small. ~Cassie has acute senses, mostly having good hearing. ~She can zero in on an object she's aiming for. Weapons: Cassie has a very simple Celestial Bronze sword with no name. It turns into a watering can, but it normally stays in the Demeter Cabin, unless during battle. She owns no shield, and knows it is dangerous.
Other: Cassie has been made for Angel's Griffin. After her "death," she pretty much fell in love with him, so don't try and dib her.
