Going to the Movies! [Private]

In a fresh set of clothing, I stand underneath Thalia's pine, waiting for Sarah... well. Umm... even in my mind it's kinda embarrassing to think about it, but, I guess she's my girlfriend now.
I pace around nervously, it's been 24 minutes... 24 minutes? I check my watch. Yeah. She's not gonna bail on me is she? Like... realize I'm too short with weird eyes or something right? I know I said 30 minutes, but I can't help but feel nervous.

I pace around more and look expectantly towards the camp horizon, watching for Sarah.

Sarah walked up to the pine, in a fresh set of shorts and black tanktop with a white sweatshirt on. Knowing that it was still early.

I watch as Sarah walks up to the pine, dressed simply and casually, but still... well, beautifully. I smile at her, full of relief, "Hey! .... I guess we should head out now."

I look out at the cityscape not too far away. It might take a while to walk, and there was always a chance of a monster attack...
We needed some other faster way to travel.

"Shadow Travel?" Sarah suggested, "And thanks."

"No problem, you really do look great," I say off handedly, "and shadow travel is a great ide-" I stop myself short.
"Wait... how did you know... I mean, right you can read minds," feeling a little dumb, I laugh, "Sorry, it's just kinda weird, but I'll get used to it," I smile at her, "Anyway, let's not waste any time."

I take a hold of Sarah's hand, "Errr... you need to be touching to shadow travel, right?"
I've never really done any shadow traveling before, I mean, I guess I never had the opportunity, and Sarah was the only Hades child I knew. I wonder what it feels like...

Sarah nods, blushing slightly. Taking Aeon to the nearest shadow she closes her eyes. Suddenly the world seems to spin out from underneath them. But then, as soon asit had started it stopped.

Everything happened so fast... I felt dizzy, the ground shifted beneath my feet. I closed my eyes for a second... no, a millisecond, and next thing you know were in front of a movie theater. I take a moment to reacquaint myself to the ground, then I walk to the cinema's entrance, and hold the door for Sarah.

I follow Sarah through the door into the cinema. "So, what movie do you wanna watch?" I look at the roster, "You wanna watch a romantic comedy?"
To be honest... I ain't a fan of the romcoms, but I hear that girls really like them. And you know, I'd be willing to sit through one if it meant Sarah had a good time.

My eyes widen in relief as a burst out laughing, "Oh man, no. I don't like 'em a bit... I just though, hahaha, you were supposed to take girls to romcoms and stuff!"
Did I ever get lucky in finding a girl like Sarah... She's pretty, smart, cool, and hates romance movies.
"Anyway, I guess we could watch an action movie... I dunno, I just don't want to make you watch a movie you don't like. I'm cool with anything really!" I continued undecisively.

"Wait here for a second," I go to the booth and return holding two tickets, "Looks like we're in theater 6! That's a nice number." I smile at Sarah, wondering why I made such an out of place comment.
"Anyway, let's go get some popcorn!"

I walk towards the popcorn stand, looking behind me to see if Sarah is following, "D'you like butter on your popcorn? I think it's pretty tasty, but I don't like when the stuff leaks through the bottom..."

"Alright then," I smiled at Sarah, thanking her for her input, "A large popcorn if you please! And no butter."
I grab the popcorn in one hand and...
Umm...
I take hold of Sarah's hand with my other. This is what you do on dates right? I feel my face heat up, and wonder if my tan skin allows for blushing to show though.

"Hahaha, I... I never blush!" loudly, I try and brush off my embarrassment. I don't really want to look like a dork, I want to look cool, as though I know what I'm doing... even though I really have no clue.
Wait... Sarah can you hear my thoughts? Ummm, nevermind!

I take a look at Sarah, and see that she's blushing as well, "Wait, you're asking me why I'm blushing? Your face is red too!" I grin, feeling more comfortable with myself now.

I laugh at the thought of dating a mind reader. Well, at least she'll always know how I feel about her. Which... I guess is kinda a mixed blessing, but for now, it's pretty awesome!

"Haha, sorry I'm such a dork." I lead Sarah into the darkly lit theater. I guess since it's a weekday it's kind of empty... Not that I mind, kinda gives a sort of private screening feeling.

I sit down in one of the theater's empty seats, my face still red. I'm not really used to getting such genuine compliments... I don't think anyone's ever called me amazing before.
"Thanks Sarah!" I try and think of a compliment to say back. Stunning, the best friend I've ever had, the coolest girl I know, the prettiest too...
In the end, I open my mouth and the words, "You're... amazing too," lamely flow out.
