I had run blindly away from the scene of my brake up. It hurt because Jason was an awesome boyfriend but I was in love with Seth. I had told Jason this but he had furiously broke up with me. I ran and ran until I felt the air around me change. I opened my tear filled eyes and surveyed my surroundings. I was in the woods. Deep in the woods and off the trail. Suddenly, I felt like I was eight again when I was brutally reminded by my youngest cousin, Thalia’s little brother, that it was my fault my parents were killed. I had ran into the deep woods behind our house and gotten lost. Thalia found me on the ground in a ball crying because I was scared. That was also the sight of my first monster attack. Thalia had saved me. Now, fourteen and alone in the forest inhabited by monsters, I stood still as a statue. I had a sense of déjà vu at the tears running down my scared and hurt face as I stand alone in these woods. I hear I twig brake and my heart begins to race. I turn and turn but see nothing. I cant seem to make a sound either. I was helplessly terrified. I suddenly turned and started to run. I didn’t know where. Just anywhere that was not there. But when I turned and ran, I ran into the arms of someone. I thrashed about but the arms held me. Finally, I calmed to see who had caught me…

I ran after Riea. Okay, maybe I would had felt a little better if she had told me about Jason. I was ready to beat the...well, you get the picture. She ran deep into the woods. I followed. I was NOT giving up on her that quick. I got ahead of her and she ended up running into me. I held onto her tightly as she squirmed. Riea calmed down. "Riea, it's me," I told her softly.

I saw it was Seth and my heart melted then I remembered he was angry. I tried to step back but his arms were still around me. “Riea. It’s me.” He said. I looked into his beautiful eyes and smiled as tears streamed harder down my cheeks. “Oh, Seth. I am so sorry. Please forgive me. I know you are angry. You have every right to be. I am horrible.” I say as I burry my face in his chest.

I wrapped my arms around her. Should I be mad? I don't know. Man, love was complicated. Maybe I should...ew, why did I even think that. Girls are soooo much hotter then guys. Stupid ADHD. "I wouldn't had been mad if you had told me," I told her. I couldn't get mad at Riea. She was way too sweet. And HOT...not that I was looking. Psh. "I forgive you."

I felt his arms wrap around me and he explained he wasn’t mad at me and that he forgave me. My heart lifted as my tear stained face did. Slowly and carefully I kissed his lips. I was back in heaven. My one save place where everything was perfect.

Riea kissed my lips slowly and carefully. I pulled her closer to me and kissed her back. Riea was the best thing I ever had. I wanted to stay with her. We are still 14, 15, we just need time to grow up. Yeah, I know things might happen but I don't care, as long as Riea's next to me the whole time.

He pulled me closer and I completely melted. I couldn’t believe I ever did that to him. He was so good to me. I was truly and erevicably in love with him. I wanted to be with him forever. I made a vow quietly to the gods that I would never hurt him again and that I would stand by him no matter what. I was in love. Dad didn’t like that much. Because just then lightning struck the ground a couple of feet away. I smiled and shook my head. I whispered quietly, “Get over it, Daddy.” Then a rustle came from a bush directly behind me. I froze in place terrified. Then a low growl started. I glanced up at Seth and willed myself to move. I pressed a button of my pocket knife and it turned into Lightningbolt. It laminated the air around us and I saw a pair of grotesque yellow eyes peering out at us. I touched my lightning bolt necklace and suddenly I was engulfed in gold dust. When it cleared, I was in my armor. A gold half top and gold warrior skirt. Both were made in the forges of Heaphistus by the best cyclopes’. They were made before I was born and Father gave them to my mother when she was pregnant with me. Once I was told what I was, she gave me the necklace that held the wonderful armor. Suddenly, a hellhound sprang from the bush and, before I could even react, bit down on my sword arm. I screamed in agony and dropped down to the ground.

Something rustled in the bushes. I pulled away. Riea pulled out her sword and somehow got armor on. A hellhound sprang from the bushes. I watched in horror as it bit on Riea's arm. She screamed and dropped to the floor. "Riea!" I screamed. I rubbed my leather bracelet and it turned into a bow and arrow. I shot five arrows at once. It growled and turned to me. I whipped out my dagger hidden in my shorts. It lunged. I steped aside and slashed at the hellhound. My slash made a huge gash. It turned and pounced on me. It was now on top of me. With one last fling of my arm, I stabbed it right where it would turn to dust.

I held my hand over my gash and saw arrows fly by me. Then I watched in horror as it turned on him and lunged. “Seth!” I yelled but he had it. He had slashed out a hidden knife and cut a gash in the thing. But that had made the mad. I went to stand up but I lost my footing. Blood was seeping between my fingers. As the hellhound stood over the love of my life, Seth stabbed it and it exploded in gold dust. I weakly smiled over at him. “My…knight in shi-” I winced. “-ning armor.”

I shouldered my bow and rushed over to Riea's side. "Riea, just stay still," I told her. I put a hand over her wound and closed my eyes. I said a few ancient Greek words. Riea's wound dissapered, only leaving a scar. I held her tight to me.

Seth shouldered his bow and rushed to me. My face had turned really pale and tears were streaming down my cheeks. He told me to stay still and suddenly the pain in my arm vanished. Seth held me tight as I shook in his arms. My heart was racing faster than normal and I stared straight ahead. The shock had settled in.

As I held Reia, she shook. "Riea, it's okay. I'm fine, your fine," I whispered in her ear. I breathed heavily for a few minutes. Healing always tired me out. "It's okay," I told her again.

I heard him whisper in my ear that we both were ok. He breathed heavily and I listened to the sound of his steady heartbeat. It seemed so different from mine. So calm. I loved him. I loved him with every bit of my heart. I turned in his arms toward him and cupped my hand around his neck. Then I leaned up and kissed him.

Riea turned around and cupped her hands around my neck. She leaned up and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her closer to me. Gods, I love her so much. I pulled away and pressed my forehead to hers and whispered three words. "I love you."

As we kissed, he wrapped his arms around my waist and brought me closer. I felt as if I could stay in that moment forever. But of course heaven is fleeting. He pulled away and pressed his forehead to mine. Then, he whispered the three words I hadn’t heard since the days before my parents’ death. I smiled and my whole world lit up. I was complete. I truly was. When I was younger, I would tell my parents that I love them, thinking it was just something you said. Of course, I loved them. But my little mind and heart couldn’t process the real meaning of them. Now, when I say it back, I know the full meaning and power behind my words. I know that my words are true. “I love you, Seth.”

I smiled, holding her face. "Well, that's great," I whispered. I pressed my lips back to hers again. Gods, I loved her so much. I will protect her with my life. Thunder boomed in the sky. Looks ike someone's not happy. I do not want you with my daughter, a voice said in my mind. I ignored it and continued to kiss Riea.

Seth kissed me again and I melted. He was so wonderful. I couldn’t believe I had lasted as long as I had without him. He was now my everything. I cared about nothing else but him. Thunder boomed and I giggled. I loved defying Daddy. Not that I would turn from the gods. Just a rebellious child thing. Suddenly lightning struck a tree a few yards away and I frowned up at the sky. “Let’s go, Seth.”

I smiled. "Where do we go now?" I asked as I wrapped an arm around her waist. Thunder boomed and I scwoled. "Someone doesn't like us together," I mumbled. Suddenly, it stared to rain. Oh crap. Rain on Riea = Crispy Girlfriend. I looked around for a dry spot. I took off my shirt and threw it over Riea.

I was just about to say we should go to the camp fire when it started to rain. Lot’s of water and trapped with no shelter equaled fried Riea. I immediately started to burn and scream. “Really, Daddy?! Your trying to kill me now?!” I screamed at the sky as Seth took his shirt off and threw it over me. It didn’t help much because it was soon soaked through. I was franticly trying to find somewhere to hide. My head shot this way and that. The only thing I could think of was to curl up under a tree. So I quickly curled up under a huge oak tree as I trembled and burned. Short cries of pain escaped my lips as the rain kept hitting me. Tears were streaming down my cheeks making little red lines down my face. I knew I was hideous.

I knit my eyebrows together worried. Rain was not good for Riea. I smoothed Riea's hair. She was crying. I felt so bad. "Shh, t's okay," I comforted her. UGH! DARN YOU ZEUS! Lightning struck a foot a away from me, knocking me to the ground. I groaned and rolled over. gods, I need to shut up. I rushed back to Riea. OH GODS! WHAT THE HELL DO I DO! Despertly trying to save Riea. I got on top of her.

Seth begins to smooth my hair and try to comfort me. The lightning strikes near him and I scream. Once Seth recovers and comes back to me, he franticly tries to protect me by climbing on top of me. I blush a little because the rain is no longer hitting me except on a few parts that are exposed. At least I am not being repeatedly drenched in it. I smile a little at him still blushing a bright red. “Umm…thank you. I think you just saved my life.” Thunder rumbles and lightning strikes all around us but not hitting us.

I blushed a little. "Um...yeah, don't mention it," I told Riea. Lighting strikes near us. I wince. Please do not hit us. RIea would survive but not me. Soon, the rain turned into a drizzle. Then it was gone. I got off of Riea, slightly blushing. "So, um you hurt?" I asked.

He said not to mention it and I was still a bright red when the rain stopped. He rolled off me and asked if I was hurt. I hid my arms a little and shook my head no. “Nah. I am fine. Just a few scratches.” I lied. Honestly, it was pretty bad. My burns were pouring blood but I didn’t want to seem weak to him. So I just said I was fine. I mean I could always get Stella to get it later. I didn’t want him to have to go through the trouble.

I looked at her burns. I winced. "No your not okay," I told her. I streched out my hand and healed her, once again. I fell to my knees exhusted. Meh, I hate healing sometimes. But now, Riea was fine. I smiled at her. I stood up and offered her my hand. "Care to join my lady?" I asked her smiling. Guess, her dad didn't like that because lightning struck about five inches away from me. I flew into the air and fell into the dirt.

He noticed the burns and healed them. I could tell he was growing tired of having to do that. Then he offered me his hand and Daddy sent him flying through the air. I then got pissed. I flipped the sky off and thunder bellowed so loud that I temporarily lost my hearing. “Let’s split.” I helped him up and shot toward the nearest exit of the woods.
