"Well this is just great," I muttered sarcadtically. The Manticore centered its attention in on me and shot more spikes. I had to fall flat on my butt and lay down flat for the spikes to miss. I rolled out of the way as it pounced where I had just been.

I swiped at the monster. It growled and lunged at me. I wacked it on the head on a pin on display. It stumbled backwards and shot spikes. One of them hit my arm. I cried out in pain, falling to my knees.

"Eli!" I cried out springing to my feet and attracting the attention of the creature. It probabaly felt that one down, and now this other. Then I'll have my snack. That was gross. Maybe becoming a vegetarian like half my cabin would be a good idea. I don't like being eaten, so why should other things? I shook my head. Wrong time and place for that. I noticed that no one in the bowling ally had given us a second glance. I officially hate mortals. They're all idiots. I dodged a few more spike and took a claw to the stomach. With all that, I didnt get even one hit on the thing.

"Sam!" I cried out. I picked up my sword and slashed at the monster. It dodged and lunged. Bad idea. I stuck my sword in it's gut. It went rigid. ""Free...bowling." It turned to dust. I went over to Sam and picked her up bridal style. 'You okay?" I asked her, going out the door.

I winced in pain as Eli held me. My side stung a bit and my arm hurt from falling on it, but I nodded and looked Eli in the eyes. "I'm okay," I promised him. I slid my legs out of his hands and set my feet down. I kept my one hand on his shoulder and another on his chest.

I held her close to me. I kissed her forenead. "I'm sorry. That was like the worst date ever. C'mon let's get to the apartment. I have supplis. I picked her up again, wheater she liked it or not. I winced as pain shot through my arm.

I looked at him, and examined his wincing face. "Eli," I said softly. "That hurts you. I can walk. C'mon, put me down." I kissed him lightly for reasurance maybe. "I'm okay."

I shook my head. I wasn't putting her down. I liked her too much to set her down. She was going to be okay. I jogged up the apartment steps and put the key in the lock. I opened the door and laid Sam on the couch. I locked the door. I walked back to Sam.

"You're hurting just as much as me," I told him in a snappy tone. I wanted him to stop caring for me so much. He was hurt too. If anything he needed more care then I did. Broken arm, cut up stomach. I'll live. Hi arn could fall off! Okay...maybe i'm over exagerating, but still.

I rolled my eyes. "It's my boyfriend duty. Besides Sam, I like you too much to see you in pain, " I told her. I gave her a short kiss and went to go get the first aid kit. I also got nectar and amborsia. I held up the two iteams. Pain was surging through my arm But I didn't care. Sam first. "What hurts?"

I raised my eyebrows at him. "Boyfriend duty?" I mimicked. "That's so sexist." I sat up slowly. "You first. You got hurt first." I didn't wait for an answer. I picked up some gauze out of the kit and started unrolling a good amount to wrap up his arm. "That's rght Eli Ken. I am the most stubborn girl you'll ever meet. Now hold out your arm." I ripped the gauze at the right lenth with my teeth.

I smirked. "Well, nice to meet you stubborn girl." I took of my light jacket carefully. I showed her my arm. It still had a spike in it. There was a little blood. I grimanced.

I smiled softly. "Yep, that's me," I started to wrap after pouring a bit of nectar on his wound. I wrapped it over a few times poured more nectar over the bandeges and then wrspped it the rest of the way using medical tape to keep the gauze down.

I watched as she took care of my wound. I smiled softly when she finished. "Why thank you nurse," I joked. I leaned forward and kissed her. Okay, maybe this night was great.

I gasped lightly as Eli leaned in. I clutched my stomach but kissed him back. I wanted to stay there forever. No matter how much pain I was in, this moment would never be forgotten.

I continued to kiss, wrapping my arms ariund her waist. I pulled her closer. I felt her arm over her stomach. I pulled away and looked down. "Your hurt. I need to wrap it," I told her, geting the guaze. I gave her some amborsia.

I hesitated. The scratches went well up my stomach. I wasn't nessicarily comfortable. I was suprised I had survived nervousness this far with the rips in my shirt. I swallowed hard and didn't meet Eli's eyes too embarassed. It wasso stupid too.

I looked at Sam confused when she didn't meet my eyes. I crawled over to her. I tilted her chin upward. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked her softly.

I shrugged and shook my head. What I would give to just be out with my sisters, or friends right now. Any where but with a guy, alone, in an appartment he owned, and wounded badly up the front side of my body. Eli probably thought I was a baby right now or something.

I studied her for a moment. Then I got it. "Oh. OH. I get it. Um, here," I said handing her the gauze, tape and amborsia. "The bathrooms right there," I said pointing to it. I hope I wasn't blushing.

I smiled lightly. I was glad he was smart...enough. I didn't really want to say it out loud. His face got red which made mine turn red also. "Uh, thanks," I said. "Sorry. I'll just be a minute." I promised him then walked to the bathroom ruffleing my hair nervously. I am such an idiot.

I watched as she went into the bathroom. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I put my face in my hands. I should had known. She was alone with me. Wait, is there something wrong with me?

When I was done, I took a glance outside the window. There was a face there. More of a shadow but a face. I sceamed and scarmbled out of the bathroom quickly and into Eli's arms. What the hell, Sam? You're such a little girl. I facepalned myself in my mind.

I held onto Sam quickly when she jumped into my arms screaming. I looked at her worried. "Sam? What's wrong? Are you okay?" I asked her, my eyebrows knit together.

I pulled away embarrassed again. "Th-ther's someone looking in through the window." I stammered. I wasn't going add anything else, like it scared the crap out of me. I think he got that message anyway.
