"she lived in her own world"
Charlotte Sophia Webb skips down to the library, unaware of the odd stares that glance her way. She flattens out her camp shirt and lets her sweats hang low around her hips. She opens the entryway and widens at the sight of thousands of books. Pushing her turquoise hair aside, she glances skywards, looking for the fiction novels. One very specific one catches her eyes. Charlotte's Web. Her namesake. Her brown eyes light up with happiness. She flips through the pages of the story, happily indulging in the memories of her little runt, Wilbur. She leans back on the bookshelf, skimming the words for her favorite part. The end. She slides down and submerges into the story itself, closing her eyes. Charlotte had actually memorized everything--down to the punctuation. She accidentally leans too hard on [I will kill you for finding an innuendo here, Carter] the shelves. Everything comes crashing down: books, sculptures, everything. Especially this one hardcover book. That hurt like hell. She squints her eyes, returning back to herself. Her eyes widen and her face flushes red, embarrassed to extremes. Although may be nobody's around, a little voice squeaks, "Sorry." Charlotte attempts to take care of it all on her own. She picks up several books old books, a globe and a few sculptures campers must've made of Greek gods and goddesses.
Charlotte scans the room, letting her eyes wander about, forcing herself to look for others shadows. After seeing none, she gives up hope, going back to read, oblivious to the fact that she might have forgotten something.
