Walking the Steets {Private to ML}

Conor|Riley|Hert

Conor looks at Alaska and smiles lightly, in the rain. He then turns around grinning and pulls her into the warmth of the coffee shop. Once inside, he lets go of her hand and walks to the counter. He then stands there, trying to figure out what to order.

Conor pulled meninside the coffee shop and out of the rain. I stood next to him as we figured out what to order. I would probably get something cold like and ice coffee with whip cream and sprinkles. That would be perfect right now. "What are you getting?" I asked.

Conor looks up at the menu, trying to pick something to order. Finally he decides on a nice cup of irish style of coffe."I think im getting the irish coffee"He says to Alaska. He thens steps up the counter to order,"Yes I'll take a irish coffee and a chocolate chip cookie"He tells the person, he then turns to her to place her order.

Conor ordered his Irish coffee and a cookie. Then he steppe aside so i could order. I ordered my ice coffee and one crumb cake. "I love these things," I tell Conor. "They are so good."

Conor smiles and pays for their coffee and food. He then steps over to the pick-up area and picks up there drinks and food. He then makes his way to a table and sits them down. Conor then pulls out a chair for Alaska, he then sit down in a seat himself.

I shrugged. "Thanks," I say. "So which cabin are you from?" I asked Conor. I noticed we really didnt shre that information. We were out in the streets anyway. It wasn't something to share when we were out in the open. I figured because there were few people in here it wasnt that bad. I began to pick at my crumb cake popping a tiny peice of it into my mouth.

Conor sips he coffee and smiles at her."Oh my dad's Apollo, so the Apollo cabin"he says to her. "What cabin do you belong in?"he asks her. He then takes another sip. After that he takes a bite of his cookie.

He asked me the same question. "Cabin sixteen," I tell him, "So my mom is Khione." I paused and took a sip of my coffee. "Has anyone every siad to you that you are too young to drink coffee? Because, I get that all the time."

Conor smiles at her,"Thats cool, Khione is a cool parent"she says. He then thinks about her question,"Not really, my mom didnt care about me to much, and I dont drink it that often, so Nope"he says to her.

I start to laugh. "Have you ever given a pegesus coffee?" I asked. It was a stupid question, but of well. "You get a very happy, hyper and fast pegesus. Any time you want to get somewhere fast, give your pegesus coffee. It turns out to be a very entertaining ride too."

Conor takes a sip of his coffee, and laughs at her coment. "Sadly, I havent attempted that, but I'll certainly keep that in mind"he says to her. He then smiles lightly and eats some of his cookie.

I smiled and picked another piece of of my crumb cake. It was almost half gone now. I tried to think of things to say. He probably thought I was crazy when I brought up the pegesus and coffee incident. It has never been this hard for me to talk to a guy.

Conor smiles at her and takes a sip of his coffee. He then studies her for a few moments,"So tell me about your self"He says to her. He then eats some of his cookie and drinks some more coffee.

"Well," I said. "I came to camp when I was eleven, I ran away because my dad was a drug addict and I have been at camp ever sense." I can't believe I am opening up to him this much, I thought. I'm not usually like this. I started to rub my wrist where my bracelets were. "Oh, and I just figured out I can make snow." I said proudly.

Conor listens to her as she talks."Oh man that sucks, well about your dad, but being able to make it snow, is really cool!'Conor says to Alaska. "I had a good life, I wasn't popular but I had a good group of friends, and I played sports. But one day this bully came to school and started to bully me, and he was really mean and he punched me and stuff and it made me cry once, so my mom told me about camp and sent my here"Conor tells her, not able to believe that he actully told someone that.

I smiled when he said that the way I could make snow was cool. Then he started to tell me thinigs about him and said a few things I would have classified as personal. I did the same thing though. Well this was awkward. "That is the most anyone has opened up to me," I say softly. "I'm not really someone people like to tell things too. And that's coming from me. I am a complete closed book most of the time." I smile lightly and take another bite of my crumb cake.

Conor looks at her and takes a sip of his coffee."Oh well, I felt like your someone who I can trust"she says to him. He then looks down wards and sips his coffee.

I was looking down at my coffee. "Yeah," I said, "That's exactly how I felt." I looked up at Conor. He was looking down. "Are you okay?" I asked.

Conor looks up,"Yeah I'm fine"He says to her. He then eats the rest of his cookie and finishes his coffee.

I smiled and ate the rest of my crum cake. I still had a bit of coffee left but I could carry it out if we were to go somewhere else. I looked around. More people were in the shop now because it was pouring out. I laughed lightly as mpost people who came in were dripping and soaking wet.

Conor smiles and throws his trash away. Then he turns towards Alaska."Are you ready to leave?"He asks her.

I looked outside. "Yes," I said. "Yeah, let's go." I stood up and threw my trash away. I brushedthe crumbs from my hand and turned back to Conor. "Ready?" I asked.

Conor stands up and pushes his chair in. He then turns towards her."Should we go back to camp?"

"Um, yeah I guess. We don't have to, i mean," I stopped. I was rambleing on. I sighed and began again. "You can choose."

Conor smiles at her. He then taps his chin, thinking."Lets go back to camp"he says to her.
