They don't have to die, but I'd you're tired of them, it's a good way to get rid of them!

If one of our charcters dies in battle, would be able to have them try for rebirth and come back to life, or do they have to stay dead?

You can have them try for rebirth, but they wouldn't be the same character, at all. Just a new character, with your old character's soul.

I know that much, I was just simply wondering.

Well I didn't want to kill her then. Now I see no point in her being in my characters...so I might as well just have her get killed in the battle.
