| Name: Carter Alexander Meyers
Age/Birthday: He blows out seventeen candles on the 14th of February, meaning he is only sixteen.
Gender: He's male, obviously.
God Parent: Carter is the son of Athena, the goddess of wisdom, warfare, battle strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason.
Claimed: Yes, he was claimed only a bit into his first afternoon at camp.
Mortal Family: Parker Avery Meyers; Carter's father, who is 27 years old. He grew up in Arizona, with his single father, Peter. He was always innovative and talented, working with the arts and many science experiments. At the young age of 20, he traveled to Florida, and met Athena. Falling in love instantly, they had a child and he moved to New York, broken by the loss of his love.
Years in Camp: This is Carter's first year in camp, and his first week, at the most.
Brief History: A few weeks after birth, his family of two; him and his father, moved to New York, looking for cooler weather, and so his father would be reassured safety when Carter came of age. Life was rather normal, until he entered the preteen stage of 13 years old. A few months after his birthday party, he was attacked while walking to school; it's proposed that the creature was something simple, but nobody could be sure. Carter was hospitalized for a few days, with a concussion and minor injuries to his arms. Upon emerging, his father continued to shelter him, scared yet unsure whether to send him to camp. The attacks kept growing larger and more danger for the next three years, until Carter was nearing imminent danger. Giving in, his father loaded up the car, and sent him to Camp Half-Blood.
Physical Appearance: Unlike many males at sixteen, he is rather short, standing at the minuscule height of 5'2''. His legs contribute, being the longest part of his body; this allows him to run very fast, if you hadn't guessed. His posture is often reserved and straightened, showing his, per say, awkwardness. He has the habit of restraining his arms to his side, keeping his hands in his pockets.
Carter's figure is one of a runner; thin, with elongated legs, and stretched arms with a rather indisputable reach. His skin is light, and slightly tanned. The first impression people get when looking at him is that he is immature and boyish, as he has plump lips, playful eyes, and the odd inability to grow hair on his face, arms, chest, and legs.
Upon close inspection of his face, it's obvious that Carter does have the ability to keep serious, though. Laugh-lines are all but absent from his mouth, replaced instead with smooth, unmarked skin. His nose is short and closer to his face. He has full, large lips that are very prominent against his skin, which he inherited from his mother. His eyebrows are very large and evident, being the only trait he gained from his father. His hair matches in color, being a dark, chocolate brown, appearing nearly black in bad lighting.
His shoulders are thin and average, with him being nothing of a linebacker. A few freckles, though you may have to look closely, can be found on his face, mainly around his nose. His skin is very different from most teenage boy's, being soft and resistant, unlike the rough and calloused hides that many wear.
The style that he sports is one of simplicity and lax. He prefers clothes that fit him properly, rather than a baggy, ill-fitting wardrobe. Despite his full closet, he is hardly what you'd call fashionable. He has an abundance of tee-shirts, jeans, and regular, formfitting sneakers. Carter has taken a like to simple, bold colors, rather then intricate designs and such; blacks, blues, reds, etc. Even when attempting to dress himself up, he dons very average, unchanged clothes.
In the winters and falls, you may see him in a sweater or overcoat, though he never really bundles up. Despite his tendency to wear comfortable clothing, he refuses to wear pajamas. Whilst sleeping, he remains clothed in jeans and a shirt, never thinking much of it. When forced to dress up, Carter has only a few jackets and suits. However, these items of wear only come in browns and whites. Jewelry is large dislike of his, despite the occasional wristband of necklace.
A few scars here and there are scattered across Carter's body, only evident if under good lighting. Many of them are unnoticeable, and come with much less then a story. A few good ones, however, can be noticed if you truly search for them; one is located on his left calf, and was the result of a break-in, in which he stumbled backwards and cut himself on a shard of glass.
Personality: Curious and investigative are a few words to describe Carter. His natural sense of question is one that's nearly unbeaten by anyone else in all of New York. He will go to the greatest of lengths to find something out, whether it be a simple secret or a nationwide controversy. When given the opportunity, he will jump on it, and learn as much information as possible; because of this, he doesn't bore easily. Things that others can simply pass off, Carter will think about for hours, his mind jumping from subject to subject.
He is strongly opinionated and occasionally offensive. When his integrity and thoughts are questioned, he will fight for himself. Because of this, he tends to has spontaneous and defensive outbursts. If he does think that someone else was correct, and another person challenges their decision, he will step up and defend them, often getting into trouble for others.
Carter has the temper of a bull, often exploding at random times. Cause him to lose trust in you once, shame on you. Cause him to lose trust in you the second time, and you'll never regain it. If you truly want to gain his loyalty, you'll need to surpass his firecracker personality, and realize that most of his insults are harmless, playful jokes. If you'd like to keep on his good side, don't call him short. Though many see it as hilarious when he explodes about his height, it can sometimes be fatal.
Right and wrong are very black and white to Carter. Certain things are evil to him, while other things are considered good. There's no bypassing this when you do things, and being judged is average when befriending him. This is a major thing that Carter looks for in a person. Jealousy and envy are things of evil in his mind, and it's evident if shown.
Lying is something that Carter considers to be the worst thing man ever invented. If he thinks that someone is being untruthful to him, he will investigate further. Upon finding out the truth, he will either accept it, or confront you, if you're lying. Intelligence isn't something required, but it will definitely get you somewhere. Ignorance and plain stupidity are things that Carter will mark down in his mental book, causing him to often avoid that person.
A nonstop inner monologue constantly haunts him, cataloging everything that happens to him. This comes with his increased intelligence, as advantages always have a downside. Because of his parents being the people they were, he's still rather sheltered, though he does know what the world has in store for him. His stubbornness could be considered a weakness as well; he's stuck in his ways, and believes that gods nor the chosen ones exist, despite him being one himself. Despite this one-track mind when set on certain objects, other things are open for discussion to him. He's known to be an excellent strategist in times of danger, always managing to pull himself out of the situation.
Fatal Flaw: Carter's fatal flaw is his tendency to "over-think" certain things. When challenged or faced with problems of any proportion, he often makes many different options, and reassesses the situation more than needed.
Pets: None.
Talents: Carter is known for his knack at problem-solving, whether it be a simple puzzle, or a complex brain-teaser. In fact, the most difficult are his specialties, as he can solve them the quickest. He loves things that make him think; crosswords, word-finds, wooden puzzle boxes, etc. Challenge him, and he'll respond. A second talent he prefers to show-off, though he doesn't flaunt it, is his ability to read people's faces. Emotions and gestures are easy for him to decipher, and he's not afraid to show it. He'll speak out loud if he know's something is wrong, and he will confront you if he think's you're lying. Lastly, he is one of the best planners alive; everything you can imagine, Carter can plan. His mind is much like a machine, with each gear working together to develop a strategy.
Weapons: Carter has never fought, nor thought about fighting. Maybe if he had the correct weapon, he would train, but otherwise, he is strictly neutral.
Year-Round or Summer: Year-round.
Other: His color is teal.
