"I-I lied to you earler about my mother. I actualy have never even met her. For all I know, she could be d-dead." I moved my cresent moon shaped necklass so that way Alaska could see it too. "This is the o-only thing that I have o-of her. Or so I think..." there, I said it.

"I-It's not your fault." I don't know why I was telling her my darkest secret. I never told anyone that...ever. "I-It's just one of those things t-that you can't help." I realized that I hated lieing...witch is probobly why I went out and told her the truth.

"Yeah," I said. Like how my dad is a drunkard and he literally hated me. Yeah, I can't help that, and Kat can't help that she never knew her mortal parent. Honsetly I would have liked it better if I had never known my dad. Some things might be a whole lot different.

I looked away. "B-but she has to be alive...I, I just know it." I had to believe that my mother was alive. If she wasn't, than what did I have to live for?

I nodded. "It's good to think like that," I told her. "Healthy even. She probably is alive, especially idiot believe it. You know you can probably ask one of the Jades kids if you wanted. But that's just a suggestion."

I rubbed my neck. "Yeah," I said again. "I just wonder if they'll actually help. Those kids are sort of stubborn sometimes. I mean I know a few, but it's also a hard process."

I felt like my hopes had been crushed. I was still new here, but I had never thought about them being stubbern. They didn't know me so why should they help me? I felt like crying. "Y-Your right." And she was. "B-But I'll just have to try, though!"

"It's always worth it to try," I said with a nod. I felt a little bad that I almost crushed her spirits for a second. "It's a great idea. You should definitly go for it."

"I-I don't really make friends easly...If you could tell." It was hard enough talking to people, but being friends? THAT was scary. What if they laughed at me? I could feel myself being laughed at...it happend all the time back in Wisconson.

I laughed lightly. "Well don't worry," I said. "You made one now." I pointed out. I looked around then pointed to myself and mouthed me with a cocky smile.

"R-really?" The only other friend that I had was Gunther. And, we actually never said 'oh, now were friends!' Did you have to say that another person was your friend for them to actually be your friend? A million questions bubbled into my head, but they were mainly stupid questions, so I decided not to ask.

I shrugged. "Sure," I said to her. "Being me, I would have left by now if I didn't lile you." That probably did not come out right, but that was me! I'm not normally a very nice person.

I just smiled. I liked this girl. I didn't care if she was shy and she stuttered, which I nornally had a problem with. She seemed like a nice girl. I was glad I started to make it snow.

It started snowing again. The snow fell on my head and bare arms, making me feel cold. Guess that's what being a daughter of the snow goddess makes you able to do. "H-Have you ever made a snowman before?" I said, asking a very obvious question.

I blinked. "I haven't actually." I admitted. "There isn't a lot of grass in the city, and I wasn't very social with people, so like, no one to go play in the snow with." I was fifteen. I wasn't really in the mood to be making a snowman at this age. But it was the middle of the summer....

I questioned this for a second. Then I nodded. "Yeah," I said. "Okay, Yeah, I'll try that." I willed the snow to come down a little harder. I kept my eyes closed and tried to make it snow stronger.

Soon, there was about a few inches of snow. "That s-should be good" I said. "Don't you get tierd doing that?" I asked.

"Now you say it," I said. "Just a little bit. Now much though." I kept my eyes closed and ran my fingers over the soft snow. I scooped a little bit and put it to my lips. The snow melted on my warm body. It turned into water in my mouth. I smiled.

"S-so, you know how to make a snowman, r-right?" I asked. I put my hand in the snow. It was cold, but felt good after being in this heat. "W-We should make it fast. The sn-snow would melt in this heat." I say.
