Baylee, suprisingly, found herself reading in the peaceful library. In her hands was a book written by Charles Dickens. She flipped page after page, sitting in that love seat that was taken up by her feet. Her glazed eyes skimmed the words of the book, not taking interest at all. "Love is for idiots," Baylee uttered, slamming the book down on the coffee table.

Looking away, she sighed and looked out the window, which had a great view of the lake. Her chocolate brown eyes seemed bored, almost depressed. Baylee had gotten over the suicidal stage, she was just lonely.

"So give me reason to prove me wrong, to wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole, connect the space between

Why was I in the library? I had absolutely no clue. I didn't like reading, so I guess I was just looking for trouble. I roamed the library, and found myself in the Romance section. Raising an eyebrow, I chose a random book off of a shelf. Romeo and Juliet? No way. I held back a laugh, as I put it back on the self.

I walked around the huge library, and came across a cute girl who looked... almost bothered. I heard her say something about love, and I sighed. "Yeah, I guess you're right about that."

"And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?"

A bit startled, she jerked her head toward the boy who looked like he might just be right for her. Sighing, Baylee took a sip of her Starbucks Vanilla Bean Latte. Swinging her legs up to sit in a cross position, she nodded and looked away. "How do you know that?" Baylee said, still looking away. She couldn't start up another relationship. Well, not now, at least.

But she needed somebody. Anybody. Just a special somebody in her life that cared for her.

I shook my head, about to smile. "I know, because I've been there," I said. It was true. I looked at the girl, and I thought she was really beautiful. I tried not to think about it, but I couldn't help it. At the moment, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to handle a relationship. But at the same time, I wanted one. Or at least, a good friend.

I was never cared about much by the people I knew, I realized.

"I'm Henry," I said to the girl, as I extended my hand.

Looking at Henry, Baylee held back a smile. His eyes were a shade of brown that coudln't be described. Better than hers. Just a beautiful, chocolate brown. Shaking his hand, Baylee batted her eyelashes. Not on purpose, but because her contact was feeling funny. Or was it...

"I'm Baylee, daughter of Zeus," Baylee said, playing with the fringe of her leapord print tank. He was cute, for sure. At least, she wanted him as a friend. They went through the same things. "My boyfriend died a few months ago," She said like it was no skin off her back.

Oh gods, she was beautiful. Her eyelashes framed her eyes perfectly, and brought out the brown. She looked absolutely perfect, and she seemed really nice.

"I'm sorry to hear that," I said to Baylee. "My girlfriend died two years ago," I added. I didn't know why I told her that, but I felt the need to. Right now, I felt pulled to her. This gorgeous girl was sitting in front of me, and actually talking to me, and I acted like it was no big deal. I guess it was just my luck.

Baylee looked up. Was it no conicidence that their lovers died? Looking down quickly, then back up, Baylee smiled faintly, for a second. "I-I'm sorry," she said, wondering who it was. They had so much in common. They even looked alike.

Taking another sip of coffee, Baylee looked out the window. The sky was turning grey and it looked like it was about to rain. Not because of her, no. She caused lightning storms, not rainstorms. "Nice day, isn't it?" She uttered, trying to make conversation.
