Riley felt more raindrops hit his skin, almost sizzling as they touched him. "Peyton... you go without me. I'll see you tommorow. I'm... uh... not feeling well." He could feel his bodily features distorting underneath his clothing, but his face was still intact, luckily. He kissed her lightly on the cheek before sprinting with all of the strength he could muster towards the bathroom, disallowing her the chance to ask him any questions. He could feel his face rapidly changing, and he ducked behind a nearby tree once he felt he was far enough away from her to catch his breath. Great, just great. If she thought he was normal before, she most certainly didn't now.
((XD I'm doing this part here but if you want you could either a. Post here and make her realize what happened to him or b. Make her leave and then I'll just make the date topic. Ahaha unless you have another suggestion.))

Peyton blinks slowly, and watches as he runs off. She then stands there pondering, if she should go see if somethings wrong or if she should leave or just stay here. Finally she decides to go see if somethings wrong. She then starts to head in the direction he ran, as the rain slowly stops.

Riley looked back discreetly, so as to not allow Peyton to see his face. Oh gods. She had followed him, and he didn't quite have the energy to run away. He slumped against the tree, sitting down with his head against his knees and his hood up, trying to act sick. He wouldn't let her see him like this. Even now it was bad... he looked like a coward, stupid, and if she saw him in full he was hideous... well, not really. He looked mostly like himself... but old and gross.

Peyton sits on the ground next to Riley, and tries to look at his face. She clears her throat and says,"Is something wrong?". She then once again tries to look at his face.

Riley resisted the urge to look up at her. Somehow he felt incredibly guilty, and embarrassed. The arms of his hoodie absorbed the water from his legs, and though he was still vaguely damp he could feel himself shifting slowly. "Do you have a towel?" He asked her, still refusing to let her see him; however it was probably inevitable. He shifted back slightly, some of the wrinkles going away and his hair turning color slowly.

"No I don't"Peyton says to Riley. She then looks at him, wondering whats wrong. "Is there something wrong?"she asks him.

The last remnants of liquid on his body were nearly gone, and his face shifted pretty much back to normal. Maybe he'd look a little weak, but his expression and skin would look relatively normal. His hair was still an in between shade between gray and brown, but it was mostly hidden by his hood and he had given up worrying about it. He looked up at her, shaking his head. "Nothing's really wrong. This has happened to me before. I just have a... bad... reaction to water." he stated. He needed to tell her the full truth, but something was holding him back. Probably embarrassment. He looked at her guiltily and waited for her to press on. He knew it was coming.

Peyton looks at him, and notices that his hair looks like its in between gray and brown. She then blinks slighty, too see if she imaging it. However when she hears what she says, she looks into his eyes. "Your lying"she says to him.

Riley shook his head, looking down ashamedly. "I'm not lying... I'm just not telling you the entire truth. I do have, as a said.. a bad reaction to water. But it's not an allergy, or anything medical. It's just... my father, he gave me a 'gift' when I was born. You know, how children of Aphrodite can charm speak or how children of Hephaestus can make fires? Yeah. It's like that, only I don't really have much control over it."

Peyton moves some of her hair behind her ear. She then listens to Riley. "Oh, well trust me charmspeak is really bad, but what is your gift?"she asks him. She then leans her head on his shoulder.

Riley looked at her, sighing. He almost chuckled at her talking about how charm speak was bad, but he was able to withhold it. He was being serious now. "I wouldn't really call it a gift, but well my dad's Geras. The god of... age. And whenever I come in contact with water, everything just sort of... I age. It's not like I age to twenty-five or forty either, but I became an all out ancient person, for whatever reason. I still keep my brain, but physically my body goes kaput," he frowned, looking away from her. He felt sort of embarrassed, and he wondered if she'd even like him anymore. He'd heard of really superficial Aphrodites, but Peyton seemed different to him.

Peyton listens to Riley as he talks. When he finishes she turns towards him, and kisses his cheak. "Why are you embarsed about that? its not that bad, Seriously I kinda think its a cool like abilty, because no one else has it unlike all the other powers that people have"she says to Riley.

Riley was fully back to normal now, his hair a normal shade of brown and his skin healthy and young. He ran his hand through his hair, pushing back the hood of he sweatshirt. In fact, he just took that off altogether. He obviously had a t-shirt underneath. She kissed his cheek and he was surprised. "Really?" he chuckled slightly. "Maybe it sounds that way, but even if I could control it I don't think I would love it too much," he stated. "I mean, it might be good to spy on people if I had to, but all it really does is slows me down. I also still look pretty much like myself, so if someone was smart they would catch on pretty fast," he mused.

"It's not really something you would ever embrace though, especially when you've spent your whole life hiding it from people and not being able to do simple thongs like swim and wash your hands in front of people," he laughed slightly. The look on people's faces was always so funny when he had to deny washing his hands. "Don't worry, I use hand sanitizer if I can't get to the bathroom alone, which I usually can." He had always wondered why water mixed in with other substances didn't bother him as pure water, but he never questioned it too fully. He was always just sort of relieved.

Riley exhaled, leaning back against the tree. He felt relieved after having told her all of that. She was the first real person he'd told... besides his mother, who of course knew all about it. He was glad she hadn't seemed to judge him too harshly by it... he'd been expecting something along the lines of horror and disgust. "Thanks," he said to her softly, not for any reason in particular.

Riley wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him. They should probably go inside, in case the random rain started again. Plus, it was getting late... he didn't mind, but the harpies would probably come out and eat them. He sighed, kissing the top of Peyton's head lightly. He didn't feel like leaving.

Peyton yawns softly and snuggles up next to him, and shivers slightly."Riley can you carry me to my bunk?"she asks him half asleep.

Riley nodded. "Okay," he said, his tiredness masked. He wrapped his arms underneath her and picked her up carefully, standing up easily. He chuckled at how she was already half-asleep, then he started walking towards the cabins.
