The Quest to New York {private}

I groaned as I crumpled to the floor. I saw Bella coming towards me. "Bella...don't" I said. Did she listen? No. I watched as Seth loaded his bow and shot arrows right after another. He was hitting the monsters in good places. Two turned to dust, leaving one giant cyclopes.

I scrambled over to Izzy while Seth distracted the large Cyclopes with arrows. If the beadt wandered down the hall, I hoped Kat could hold it off with a sword. "Izzy," I whispered. "Are you okay." i placed a hand on her shoulder and another under her arn and helped her sit up.

My eyes were closed but I could tell that it was Bella. I moaned in response. My hole body ached. I had been slammed into the wall about a 3 times today. Four counting this one. "Just...don't fight," I told her. Was it still my dad? I was still dazed.

I shot more arrows and stood up, ignoring the pain. I whipped out my dagger and loaded it into my bow. I shot it and it went into it's eye. I stumbled and fell backwards.

~meh, I don't like my charries hurt. Stupid cyclopes xD~

"Izzy," I said again. "I have to." I looked back in time to see Seth fall. I didn't tell Izzy. She didn't need more to worry about and Kat had her sword raised. My confidence in her was great, but she couldn't hold together for too long.

I didn't even make the slightest response. My body hurt to much. I sighed.

I stood up. Dam shoes. Who ever invented shoelaces should be shot. I aimed another arrow. A really sharp one. The monster roared and took out my dagger out of his eye. He lunged at Kat. before he could get on top of her, I shot my arrow. I got him right in the eye very ddep. It turned to dust. The dust went all over kat.

I spit monster dust out of my mouth. "Oh yuck," I spat and brushed more out of my hair. "Distgusting. Be a little quicker next time please." I looked at Seth and mouthed, thanks to him.

I lookd back and the monster had turned to dust which now covered Kat. I smiled lightly. "C'mon Izzy." I told her draping her arm over my shoukder. "Let's go."

I smirked at Kat. "No problem my lady," I said. I looked around. We were on floor...20. Great. Only 42 more to go! I sighed. "Why don't we just camp out here for a little bit," I said.

I nodded and let Bella pull me up. I missed my dad. Wait, was that him? No it couldn't be. "Was that my dad?" I mumbled, not really sure if anyone heard me.

I started walking back to the others with Izzy when she asked me soemthing. I sighed and shook my head. "No Izzy," I told her softly. "That wasn't your dad. I'm sorry."

I opened my eyes and looked at Bella. "That wasn't? But I..." I trailed off. i faceplamed myself. "It was a monster. I should had known." I sighed. We walked to were our friends were. I tried to walk but winced. Dam.

"Well this is great." I muttered. "Let's find the control room quickly and try to figure more of this out. I'm getting a head ache just thinking about this crap." I looked at Izzy. She looked terrible, just like the rest of us.

"Why don't we just rest for an hour or two. No offense but we all look like crap. I know the control room is important, but we all are feeling like crap," I said to Kat.

I felt jumpy myself and didn't want to rest. Seth was right though. We needed it, and Kat stillcould use the extra sleep. I still wished she hadn't run off through the door before. Things would be so much easier now. I nldded and pointed out a supply closet. "In there." I said. "It's a safe enougj place for now."

I nodded and went over to the closet. I opened i and pulled the iteams out, making it empty. It also gave us lots of room. I could treat anyone who was wounded. "C'mon guys."

I helped Izzy inside. I sat down kn a few towels on the ground and set a lot more up around the tiny closet for everyone else. They weren't much but they were something warm. Kat closed the door behind us. She used her ipod as a light. I was surprised she actuslly still had it with her.

I opened my eyes and looked around. We were in a closet again. I sat down and leaned against the wall. Okay, that was just a monster, not my dad.

I looked at my friends. "Anyone hurt?" I asked.

"Same as ever, Seth," I muttered. "You're bad too," I pointed out bluntly. I looked at Bella, she was already startig to doze off. I smiled lightly.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Some old kitty-kat," I told her. I watched as Isabella fell asleep. I looked at Kat and smiled. Time to annoy here. I poked her arm repeatly. "You got a boyfriend Kitt-Kat?"

I stared at him a moment. Then I answered, "Yes," slowly. "And your point?" I asked. I pushed his hand awayso he would stop poking me.

I cracked a smile. "Oh nothing. Who is he Kat? Is he handsome and rode on a white horse to save you? Kat and a boy sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage!" I teased, throwing my arms in the air.

"Will you shut up?" I muttered half a sleep and half awake. I threw the first thing my hand touched in Seth's direction. Unfortunatly for him it was dust pale.

I started cracking up as Bella through something at Seth. Bella can get really crabky when it comes to sleeping.

I rubbed my head and glared at Bella. "That hurt I," I muttered. I was going to throw something at Bella, but deceied against it. I looked at Kat. "Listen if he ever does anything to you, you come to me and I'll brake his face for you," I said serious.

I laughed and leaned my head onto his shoulder already feeling my eyes shut. "You're the brother I never wanted Seth," I told him. I then felt my sslf consciousness drift away and soon I was in sleep mode. I'm pretty sure my smile stayed on my face when I slept.

I smiled when she told me that. She was the sister I never wanted. I felt my eyes close. Soon I fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke up in the morning, or what I thought was morning to see everyone sleeping. So much for a look out, I thought. I look around. Everypne seemed to be doing fine which seemed to takw a lot of weight off my shoulders.

I yanwed and rubbed my eyes open. I looked around. Everyone was sleeping, except for Bella. I streched. My body felt sore. Not that bad. I looked at Bella. "Now what?"
