The Quest to New York {private}

"Izzy," I sighed. I ran my hand through my hair that I was now attempting to put back up with out getting it too knotted. Note to self: Bring a hairbrush on a quest.

I nodded. "Sorry Bella. Just do what you gotta do," I told Seth. I winced when he disenficted it. He tapped the gauze to my cheek. I tounched and laughed. "I must look weird," I said. I grabbed my bag. "Let's go find this control room," I grumbled. I watched as Seth put the girl in the close we hid in. "She'll wake up with a surprise."

I smiled and nodded. "Is there anyway we can lock it?" I asked. I flipped my head down which made it hurt and put my ponybtail in. When I looked back up I had blurred vision, but I ignored it.

I thought for a moment. "We could try to block it off with something." I suggested. But with what?

I thought for a moment. "We could use a chair or something. Kat how would you lock the door?" I asked her. She was the daughter of Hermes.

"I have a lighter," I said. "I can try to melt the lock in and when it cools it will cool sticking to the door. Ot can be almost impossible to get undone." I shrugged and held up the lighter in a questioning way. "These are the tricks I have leaned in cabin eleven."

I raised an eyebrow at Kat. "How come I didn't think of that? Go ahead and lit the lock," I told Kat. I smiled. That was a great trick. I should use that sometime.

"This is going to take a few minutes." I said. "Watch my back." I knelt down and began my work. I watched out of the corner of my eye as Bella pulled out her knives but leaned against the wall. She looked like she wasthinking hard.

I took out my weapons again. Where could this control room be? Who the heck were those kids? I was going to kick that boy's butt so hard. I gripped the hilt of my knife.

I finished the lock with in the time of seven minutes. New record for this kind of trick. I closed the door quickly and waited for the metal to cool. I tried the door and it wouldnt budge. "Done," I announced. "Ready to go?"

I nodded and slipped my backpack on my shoulder. I helped Seth walk. He was heavy. "So, where no? Where could this place be?" I asked.

"We should find an elevator," I said. "I dount the security system will be on the first floor. We know there are at least two-"

"Floor 66 has something important on it," I said. "I over heard Dumb one and Dumb two talking about it. We should find security and head there."

"Floor 66. Where would floor 66 be? What floor are we even on?" I asked. I looked around, trying to find something to guide us.

"I think the numbers go up while the floors go deeper into the earth." I told them. "As far as I know, we are on one."

"That's how big this place is?" I asked. "We've only wandered through floor one?" Kat nodded and I let out a deep sigh.

"Is there like an elevator? Or maybe an esculator? Or stairs? There has to be a faster way to get to that floor. Like that," I said pointing to a sign. It was written in a weird lanuage. Not Greek, English, or Latin. "What lanuage is that?"

I raised my eyebrows at the sign. "I think ut's Itailian, like nodern day Itailian." I examined the sign more. Trying to make out some words.

I shrugged. "I was going to say spanish."

I stuided it. "It looks German or Itailian. I can't tell which one though. Oh wait, it's Itailian," I said.

I studied the map. "Tornare indietro. Mostri avanti. Anche la caduta degli dei è qui. Godetevi il vostro soggiorno e usare l'ascensore." I read easliy.

I looked at Seth surprised. "You know Itailian?" I asked.

I shrugged again. "I still thought it was spanish." I studied the sign. "Hey look," I said. "There's brail here too." Bella looked at me funny but I just shook her off.

I nodded. "Yeah, my mom used to teach it to me. It says 'Turn back. Monsters ahead. Also the fall of the gods is here. Enjoy your stay and use the elevator!' Where is the elvator?" I asked looking around.

I went up to the sign and pulled. It came off with a disturbing tare of glue. "It was just put up." I told everyone and threw the sign on the floor. "Should we follow it's advice?"

I nodded. "It's the best lead we got. Let's take the elevator it pointed to," I said. "Just take out your weapons," I said. Seth was getting heavy.

I looked at Izzy. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Do you need any help?"

"Guys," I said. "We should go." I found another camera in the corner. Actually, there were three on us. "We need to keep moving.

I nodded. "Yeah Bella. Can you take his other side. He's heavy."

I looked at Izzy. "I am not FAT!" I yelled. I looked around and saw more cameras. "We should talk in a differnet lanuage."

"How?" I asked as Bella helped Izzy with Seth. "We know Greek, they know Greek. We knoe English tey know English. Seth knows Itailian. We have nothing to work with. Any one know moreas code?"

~i dont think that's how it's spelled but my spell check is retarted.

"Nope," I said. I knew French, English, a little bit of Greek, but nothing else. "French?" I hoped.

I rubbed my head. "I know some. Oh! what if we put a p in front of everyword. Plike pthis," I exclaimed smiling.
