The Quest to New York {private}

"What?" I asked. I looked at Seth then bolted after Izzy. As I did I looked down every confusing hall we passed. They all looked the same. I couldn't help but try to memorize each one from where they were and how many there were. So far, as Izzy ran, I counted seven.

"Izzy where are we going!" I yelled after her. She kept runnunng. SHe stopped. I bent over panting. "WHat the HADES!" I whispered. She pulled my head up. I saw Kat....and a cyclopes. Shiz.

This was getting a lot harder then I thought it would end up to be. I lashed down on the creature for the hundreth time. I was hurt bad, obviously, but that wasn't stopping me. I couldn't run again. It would just find me, plus I was too tired to. The Cyclopes whacked me against the nearest wall again. I struggled to my feet. "Why don't you just kill me already?" I asked it. That's when I saw my friends. They were for real this time. I tour my eyes from them though and back to the Clyclopes.

I ran to the monster and sliced off it's toe. It roared at me. It swatted me. I dodged it. It swung it's axe. I jumped up ward and landed on my feet. It smiled. "DOn't wanna hurt me?" It asked in my dad's voice. I growled and looked in in the eye. "SHUT UP! NO ONE CARES ABOUT HOW YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR VOICE. YOUR A MONSTER SO JUST THE HADES UP! EVER THINK THAT WE NEVER HAD A LIFE!!! HUH? JUST STAY STILL!" I roared at the monster. It backed up, shocked.

While Izzy distracted the creature, I stabbed him in the hip. He roared with rage and kicked my aside again. This time, I didn't get up. I couldn't. I had been going at that for hours. It's not easy fighting a Cyclopes for four hours straight.

"Kat!" I yelled and darted to her side, but I couldn't reach her. The Clyclopes was black our path. This guy was a couple feet taller then the other one and looked like he wieghed a whole lot more too. This was going to be really hard.

I watched as it kicked Kat aside. I ran straight towards it. It bent over to pick me up and i juped using it's hand as a springbroad. I Climbed up higher while it tried to get me off. I made it to it's head. Seth was shooting so many arrows.

These are the times when I really wished I had a lot more then just two knives. In this situation, a long sword would be nice, a spear or maybe even a large axe. Like the one that was about to come down on my head unless I got out of the way. I jumped aside as the axe made a crack in the floor that got bigger and bigger. "Oh no," I muttered.

I heard Bella mutter something. I was still on the monster's head. I looked t Seth and got an idea. I threw my knife at him. Seth dodged it and picked it up. "What?" Seth asked. "Shoot it!" I yelled at him. I hope Kat was okay.

The cracks were getting larger and pieces of the floor were collapsing into the next floor below. That couldn't be good. 1) We were drawing even more attention to ourselves, and 2) who knows how many more floors there are and how many more monsters. I had to get to Kat. She was in the falling zone. As the Clyclopes was off balence, I ran to Kat quickly drawing as little attention to myself as possible. When I got to her, she was still consious but barely. I pulled her out of the way. But the bad part, we were now seperated from the others. Seth was notching a...knife in to his bow which surprised me. Izzy was being flung around on the monster's head. If it goes down, so will she. This is going to be interesting.

I saw Bella get Kat. Problem, the monster's axe was had made craks which were now breaking the floor. Kat and Bella were on one side whil Seth and me were on the other side. Great. "NOW!" I yelled at Seth. I pulled on the monster's eyelid while Seth shot my knife. It struck the monster right in the eye. The monster staggered foward near the gap in the floor and turned to dust. I fell but, managed to grab a piece of the floor. Now I was dangling a good hundred feet. Why didn't Seth get his near to death experince yet?

More of the floor broke off but on Kat's and mine side. I had to pull Kat over trying carefully not to hurt her. We just barely made it to a safe zone. I watched in horror as Izzy struggled to get back onto the good flooring. I didn't call out her name because that may startle her, but I tried not to panic. It was Izzy. She had gotten out of multiple near death experiences so far. All's I could do was pray.

Izzy dangled from the edge. I ran to the side. She was struggling to get up. I grabbed her hand and pulled her up. When Izzy was on solid ground, she slapped me. What the heck?!? "That's for not having a near-life or death experince." I rolled my eyes. Kat and Bella were on the other side. "Now what?"

I cursed really loudly. The ambrosia was in Seth's pack. I couldn't get to them from here. I looked to the other side to see the others over there looking at us. I propped Kat up against the wall and felt her head. "What are you doing?" she asked me. "Trying to play doctor," I muttered back.

I felt like crap. I couldn't feel my left arm and I'm sure I broke a few ribs, if not all of them. It hurt to talk, even breath. My head hurt like hell and I was pretty sure I was going to die. All because my freaking fatal flaw.

Kat needed help. I looked at the gap and saw that it was wide enough to jump. Hmmm. I threw our bags over to the other side. I grabbed Isabella by the waist and held her. "What are you doing?" She asked me. I grinned. "Just hold on." I backed up a few feet and ran. Isabella screamed right in my ear. I jumped. I landed with a thud on the other side where Kat and Bella where.

I smiled weakly. "Show off," I muttered to Seth.

"Well it's good to know you still have a sense of humor," I said to Kat. I looked to Izzy and Seth. I had no idea how to do this. I may be smart but medical is not my subject. I exel in other things, just not medical.

I stuck my tounge out at Kat and went over to her. I took out a bandage. "I have to set our ribs since your chest is looking a little weird. it may hurt," I told Kat. Izzy patted Kat's arm. I started my work.

I wanted to protest. I wanted to yell at him to leave me alone. I was in enough pain I may as well die. But I didn't. I winced in pain and let out something the varied from a squeak and a scream.

I sat cross legged next to Izzy as Sath helped Kat. I was watching through my fingers as Seth worked. Every time Kat let out a sound I looked away. Everyonce in a while Kat would punch Seth in the arm thigh or chest so I was under the impression that she was okay.

I finished as Kat punched me in the...place I don't want to be punched. I fell to the ground. She punches hard. I had to be sitting down. I moaned, "Thanks Kat." I heard Izzy muffle a giggle.

I smiled lightly. "Serves you right," I said then paused. "For...helping...me...Thanks." I finished with a sigh that made my sides hurt again. This was not going to be fun.

I watched at Kat. She looked better, but still terrible. In the end, after she punched Seth one last time, (Which I had to laugh at) She let out a heavy sigh. "Are you going to be okay?" I asked her. She shook her head dramaticaly and made a dying gesture. "Oh, don't be a drama queen." She smiled again which made me smile.

I laughed at Seth. Kat seemed better. I gave her a piece of ambrosia. Seth mumbled something. I rolled my eyes. 'Let's camp here for tonight."

The others had made their way over, and I assured them I was okay. I was not going to act all week in front of anyone. I stayed propped up against the wall. I could barely move, I was so stff because of the pain. I could fall asleep sitting up if I tried. And I did. Slowly I felt my eyes close. I hadn't slept sense we were at camp the morning before or was it two days ago. I lost count but soon I was snoring lightly.

I watched as Kat fell asleep. I found myself closing my eyes too. "I'll take first watch," Seth said. I nodded and laid down on the ground. My eyes closed and I fell alseep. It was nice...until the nightnmare found me. Great.

I looked at Bella. "Sleep," I told her. Izzy and Kat were already sleeping away.

I shook my head. "It's your turn to have some nightmares." I told him. "You took watch last time. Everyone else is already asleep." I pointed out. "And you need a little bit of it. I promise to wake you up if anything happens."

I laughed at what Bella said. "Fine I'll sleep." I laid down and used by backpack as a pillow. My eyes soon fell asleep.

My nightmare was scary. There were monsters, swords, dying, and...Seth. Dam.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary while I stood watch. Izzy stirred every once and a while and I rubbed her arm lightly. Kat slept soundlessly. She probably had been fighting for hours before we got to her. I had my knives out and ready to attack whatever may come at us. I was a little concerned about Izzy the more she stirred.
