The Quest to New York {private}

"Why did he just leave?" I asked. "I mean I'm not complaining but I would have thought he would attack. Why didn't he?" something was up. The monsters were officiate or somethig and wont attack when necessary. That was my best guess. I looked around at the other's faces.

"Maybe he's trying to mess with our minds. He's gonna make us think he's gone. Then maybe a sneak attack?" I guessed. It didnt sound very logical, but it was my best guess.

I walked back to my friends with a stupid grin on my face. "I did it!" I yell and start dancing around likke crazy. Everyone gave me weird looks.
I rolled my eyes at him. He can be such a child sometimes. "Seth, he can still be a monster. Like Ally said he could attack us by surprise," I say narrowing my eyes, trying to think.

"That definitly wasn't normal behavior for a monster," I cunclude. "But that doesn't solve why he was stalking us. Should we head over to where we were the other night?"

I nodded. I looked at Kat. "Where was that again? Was that at Pascun?" I didn't really pay attention because Kat was doing a dare.

"Yep," I said. "I am so ready to kick some empousi in the butt. Seers them right for throwing me up against a wall." I rub the spot where I had gotten the large bump on my head from when the creature flung me across the floor. The spot was still the tiniest bit sore.

"Off to Pacsun!" I agreed. This was gonna be fun. Hopefully, there would be some monsters to stab.

I looked at the mall map. Pascun was to our left. I walked there hoping everyone was following me. I saw that bald guy from before standing at the entrance. I hid behind a plant and pulled Seth behind it before he could be seen. "It's him again," I whispered. Seth looked sad. "My talk didn't work. Can I try it again?" I ignored him

I had began to walk after Izzy, but then there was the man staoutside of Pacson. I almost cursed. I pulled Kat into the nearest store diving out of the man's sight. Unfortunately, that store was Victoria Secret and the women asked us if we wanted to take part in the two for one special Lingerie sale. Kat sighed deeply and gave me a look. I just smiled in a sorry type of way.

I watched as the girls were asked something by a Victoria Secret's employee. I smirked. The man was looking around when he spotted me. He glared and walked towards me. I got out from behind the plant and walked towards him.
"What are you doing?" I hissed. Seth didn't hear me.

I held my breath. That man was creeping me out. Seth better not do anything stupid.

I walked up to the bald freak guy. "I told you to leave," I said to him. The guy's eyes flared orange again. Okay was this guy a monster? "I left the coffee shop, not the mall," he told me. I glared at him. he glared back.
I looked towards Bella. "Can I throw my knife? If he's a mortal, it'll pass clean right through."

I peak out of Victoria Secret to see Seth confronting the guy. I put my hand on my forehead and sighed. When will he ever learn. Then Izzy asked me something. "He'll call the cops," I answer in a hiss. "Knives look like knives to humans." I sighed heavily. I wa planning on doing the same exact thing but I had thought against it. I shook my head. "Go ahead. Try it."

I waited to see Izzy throw her knife. This was our chance to see if this guy was a monster. I half-hoped he was because I was ready to kick some serious monster behind.

"I think you need to leave," I told him again. The man snorted. His eyes flashed orange and stayed orange. he's a monster. "Leave demigod," he told me. I laughed. I pointed at him. "He's a monster!" I shouted.
I faceplamed myself.

No duh, I thought. What mortal has eyes that flash orange? I leaped up anf out, pulling my dagger out of my shoe.

Oops wrong color

The man growled and pushed me to the ground. I glared at him and punched him in the jaw.
What in Hades was Seth doing?!? I rubbed my bracelets turing them into two long knives. I ran towards them.

I ran right towards the man spun, and kicked him in the face. He fell and I helped Seth up.

Why would she do that? Because she is Kat, that's why. She had to dosomething to piss it off didnt she. The monster grew and changed into a giant Lion but with his same human face.

What was that monster again? That Egyptain cat. "It's the Egyptain cat!" I yelled. I pulled out my bow and shoot an arrow.
"A sypinx (Sp?) ding dong!" I yelled at Seth. I lunged at the monster and stabbed it on it's side. It roared.

A mr spynx, I thought. That's weird. "I have never seen one of those before." I muttered. Then I raise my voice. "What business does a spynx have here?" then the prophecy rung in my head. A puzzle. He has something to do with that. He continued attacking the others though so I didn't think he would be asking any questions soon. I pulled out my knves and attacked.

"Ask a question! Ask a question!" I screamed at the monster. I shot an arrow in it's eye.
I jumped to the left as the monster lunged at me.

"It's not going to ask a question if we keep attacking it!" I yelled and slash my sword at the creature before it got to Izzy. Its attention was now on me. I am such a hypocrite.

As it turned to face Kat, I shot an arrow at it's butt. It growled and turned. "Answer the question demigod. What walks on 4 feet in the morning, 2 feet in the afternoon, and three legs in the evening?" What??? I managed an "Ummm." "Wrong!" the monster snarled. It lunged at me. I dodged it and shot arrows at it's eye.

"I...I know this one!" I told my friends. "Its...um...uh..." I tried to think back to all the stupid riddles I always used to do with my friend. I definetly heard the answrr to this oje before...but what was it? I tried to jump up on it. That didn't work. I was left on the side of it, hanging on for my dear life.
