The New Kid (open)

I nervously opened the door to the Apollo cabin. Apollo, the god of music, poetry, healing, and a bunch of other things. Sure, why not? Wait, does this mean that Harry Potter is real too? I sat on an empty bunk, which I assumed was mine.

"Gods, I am freaking tired.." I muttered as walking onto the steps of the Apollo cabin. Today had been a working wrench day. Full of Archery and battle skills with some friends, then some healing for someone in the Arena, and blah blah blah. I was just plain tired. I opened the door of the cabin and quietly walked in hoping not to disturb anyone. I watched as Crila who is pet python slithered through my legs and towards my bed.

I took off my bow off my chest and carefully threw it onto my bunk hoping the string wouldn't snap. I walked over to my chest full of my belongings and sorted through on which shirt I should get. Slowly did I realize that someone else was in the cabin also. I took off my shirt and sighed. I slowly grabbed my dagger of my five and gripped it tight. I pulled on a plain blue Nike shirt and hid my dagger underneath it. Who else would be in here, I wondered. I quickly turned around sheathed my dagger from my shirt and stuck it at the person's neck, hitting my tip against his or her's Adam's Apple. Everything had happened so fast, no one had a fast enough reaction besides me.

I felt a tip of a dagger against my throat. I managed a small scream. "What the hell! I'm an Apollo kid too, dude!"

I slightly laughed I as yet pinned my older brother or something. "Ah, sorry about that. I seem to have got done at the Arena with some battles statics. Making me on the move all the time, and on my guard. Didn't mean to scare you." I said as pulling my dagger away from his neck. I eyed him as I haven't seen him in the cabin yet. "Are you new?" I asked as putting away my dagger.

OOC: I'm on my IPod, so I can't really type as much.

I caught my breath. "I'm Seth and yeah I'm new." I rubbed my throat. "How long have you been here?" I asked the kid.

"Pleasure to have a new half-brother." I said holding out a hand towards my new brother. "I'm Hunter Blake." I said with a slight smile. I bit my lip as he asked on how long I've been here. I started to rub my chin. "Saying that I turned twelve a few weeks ago, I'd say about three full summers." I quietly said. "You like it here at camp?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

I shook the kids hand. "Yeah camp's pretty cool. The other day I was in the woods and got attacked by a monster. Remind me to ask Chiron to un-stock the woods."

"Ah, it's usual. A lot of people when they come here, they are either attacked by a beast or monster, or they are just dropped off by their families." I said as sighing. I looked over at Crila to find her curled up on my bunk. "You like Python's?" I asked trying to make a conversation.

"You mean as in snakes right? Because there's a python in greek mythology." Wow, that sounded stupid. "I mean yeah, I like snakes.." I paused. "Is Harry Potter real? If greek mythology is real, does that mean wizards are real too?" I asked.
