Connor sat silently under Thalia's pine tree, his back against the trunk. His green-eyed gaze looked over the horizon of Rhode Island with both excitement, but also concern. What if his friends and he didn't survive? It was only a trip to his aunt's house, but monsters were always lurking in the city of New York. The worse part was, no one knew Zin, Lily, and he were sneaking out of camp; no one would know if they were in trouble. At least they've been at camp long enough to know how to fight. Maybe they'll return half alive.

The teenager's thoughts were interupted by the sound of footsteps trudging up half-blood hill. It was Lily, Zinnia's twin sister. "Hello, Lily. Is Zin with you?"

In cabin 2, Zin was sleeping. Tired from the morning practice, she awoke to find herself late for their trip out of camp. And to her horror, she found herself missing the sword she always brought, which delayed her arrival at the hill more. Thus, already late, and still a bit groggy, Zin pulled out a half decent, plain white shirt(cause her other one was still blood soaked) and another set of Navy jacket. Where in the world she gets these stuff isn't a bother at all. It was only a mild trivia. And as she proceeded up the hill, she was still thinking about her sword, not really bothering if they survive or not. And upon approaching them, she already spotted Connor, which made her hurry up until she was behind her own Twin.

Zin smirk, side stepping Lily to show herself. "Present and ready to chuck someone out a window." she snickered. It was an inside joke really, the 'person-out-the-window' thing. Both she and Connor shared it that day Zin was reunited with Lily. With the breeze playing with her messy hair, yoday, she decided it would be better to keep it into a pony tail rather than around her head. It was probably the right thing to do, but to her, it was some change of style. She never took care of what she looked like! Why start now. Blaming it on her woman side, she pushed the thought aside. "So, got a ride?" she asked him, wishing she could remember where in the world her own weapon was. As if on cue, she remembered. Oh yeah, it was still in it's sheath. Besides her.

Zin sigh, how could she be so stupid? But she still got the smile on her lips, not bothering to get everyone altered. She raised her head, and raised an eyebrow. "Up for Sadie travel?" she asked them both.

Connor was more than ready to start off on their journey, but he had the slightest feeling that he and shadow traveling wouldn't get along. Despite being a child of water, he had never experienced shadow travel before. For a moment, he hesitated, but he remembered his sickly aunt. "It's the only option we have," he said, looking out at the road and then back at the Melion twins.

"Yeah, right. We won't, y'know, meet up with anything dangerous, right?" Lily inquired, feeling her legs begin to quake with fear. She tried to show that she wasn't afraid, but she hadn't been out of camp's borders in so long, nor met up with a monster before in her life. This was the one time she was capable of experiencing life in the city, and it's changes. Being born during World War II, and then being trapped in a casino-hotel that magically travels through time really threw the teenager off. Are there things that are still around that were back then?

~ I'm thinking about killing off Anna or something and replacing her with someone else. xD I feel like I've sort of lost the inspiration for her. But, I still like her. What should I do? D8

~Uhm, I'd go with killing her off, if it would be for the better? Rather than have her be all OOC. :)

Zin nodded eyeing a particular tree down below the hill. It wasn't actually familiar to her, but she felt compelled to look at it, somehow. She shook her head a bit, when a squirrel jumped down the tree and scuttled off to somewhere, probably wandering off for food. Zin raised the tip of her mouth, making an uneven smile for herto share. "Yeah, shadow travel." she whispered in agreement, but she seemed like she was in a trance, mind wondering off into space. Zin shooked her head again, feeling a bit woody in doing it twice in a minute.

"So Shadow travel." but now with a full voice. With her mind in place, she was ready for anything. She looked at Connor, wondering if it were really his choice and not her imagination. But so
ething in his eyes told her that he was definitely ready. For his aunt's sake. "So, Li, still want to hold on to me? We're going pretty far away now." she told her sister. A part of her mind wondered. If Lily wasn't to join in, she'd surely have to stick with Connor. And him, close to her was a bit awkward enough. She smiled to her sister, feeling the nervousness vibrating in her aura. Yeah, this was going to be a bumpy ride.

~ If I do get rid of her, I'll just make her OOC, because I believe that I might bring her back. Plus, I don't think the Hecate campers will want to deal with a tough semi-gothic cousin of Anna's forever. xD

"Uh, yeah. Right." Connor didn't know what else to do besides hold on to Zin. For a moment, he felt his cheeks burn, and then flush a bright red. He felt a little too close to Zin; too close for him to actually handle. They were just friends, right? What was with his uneasiness? "This is okay, right?" he asked, not knowing any other way to shadow travel without holding on the other person.

Lily focused all her energy on shadow traveling. Her eyes were closed, taking in the enviornment around her. She could feel the power running through her veins, meeting at one point in her chest. The teenager opened her eyes and looked at Connor and Zin, waiting for them to lead the way.

Zin looked back at Connor, biting her inner cheek to stop giggling. Seriously, all these stuff is just plain creepy. "So, where is it?" she inquired. She straightened her jacket and shuffled her feet. This was it. They were actually going somewhere. She looked at Lily, seeing she got her own weight, an mixed emotions brushed her consiousness. But she wasn't going to do that. She wasn't going all lovey-dovey. No. She was going to be strong. She nodded at Lily, and smiled at her wickedly, but playful.

"New York," Connor replied. "Not too far from Melina's house. It's on 36th avenue, near the Empire State Building." He waited for Zin's response, and prepared himself for shadow traveling.

"Oookay?" Zin stretched out the O. She didn't know if Connor was just playing, or he didn't remember that she just only meant Melina. Or maybe he thought that he was a mind reader too. She chuckled at the comment humorlessly. "Uh, where's that?" she asked. All the rime she had into wandering the streets, she didn't took note of the name of the buildings. She was too amazed with the sight of good ol' New York. She slept in the Central Park, which she kept calling a 'tree-hugger's-paradise' and she mostly ate the things she found/were given.

"Only a block away from the Empire State Building," Connor repeated. "I'll show you when we're close." After he spoke, he unzipped his backpack to make sure he still had all the supplies he needed. His aunt was close to death, but not too close.

"I don't know about that..." she whispered, but she knew that she should better hurry. And so, without noticed, she shadow traveled into the Central Park, where she caught some joggers off guard. "Oops, sorry!" she said, as they landed into the bottom part of a fountain. The joggers stared in disbelief and cried something about horse attack. Knowing to flee, Zin pulled Connor's hand and guided him to the trees. "What now?" she asked, as they hid under an old willow.

Lily appeared next to the two, catching her breath and slowly regaining her energy. "Are we," she panted, grabbing her knees for extra support, "there yet?"

"Yeah, it's over there." Connor pointed out a medium-sized house with his index finger. It appeared old-fashioned, with it's bright colors and wooden planks; though, it looked as if it was starting to decay. "My auntie is in there."

"In there?" she didn't mean to be rude, but she thought everyone now goes into one of those healing buildings. Like the infirmary. But now, only for the public to use. "Then let's go." she said, remembering that it was Connor's aunt who was sick, and they needed to help her fast.

Connor shook his head with a small amount of exasperation. "My family isn't that wealthy," he explained. "We wouldn't even be able to be classified as middle-class citizens. Some of us don't even have cars. We're just, well, the Chambers." The teenager walked up to the house, and then knocked on the door. One of his much older cousins answered, who was the same age as he was. The boy directed the group to Connor's aunt's room, explaining what had happened. She was experiencing the first few stages of cancer.

"I didn't mean it that way." she said, pulling behind a bit. Well, so much for being support. All she ever did was bring him down. As they reached Connor's aunt, Zin stepped forward and stood besides her un-identical twin. "Now what do we do?" she asked her in a soft whisper. But in the silence of the room, she wouldn't be surprised if Connor heard her.

Lily directed her blue-eyed gaze to her twin. Fortunately, the teenager did have experience with healing. Hopefully the medical training she recieved could prove to be a great asset to saving Connor's aunt. Then again, she did have her powers now. Maybe that could boost their chances-

"I have to help her." Connor walked over, and stood beside his aunt, holding her hand for support. He didn't know what to do for her besides stand by her side. Maybe Zin or Lily knew what to do.

As if reading Lily's mind, Zin nodded. lily got the usual glint in her eyes whenever she knew what she'll do. Instead of helping, Zin leaned on the doorframe, looking a bit like a statue. Maybe it wasn't right, but she felt like he was a bit useless in this element. She was a soldier, and no doctor. But still, she did saw how those Apollo kids healed, but she didn't know if it were one of the powers she could copy. Like mind reading, it wasn't a power which fills the 'to be copied' category.

As if on cue, a bog of medical supplies appeared in Lily's hands. She walked over to the sickly elder, and then rummaged through her healing essentials. Bandages, vaccines, etc. Nothing in her bag could help cancer! Everything was from World War II, and medicine wasn't as advanced then as it is now. She would have to try something with her powers, but she wasn't actually sure how. She'd only learned the things Zin taught her.

Involuntarily, but as if she was in a trance, Lily reached out her hands, and closed her eyes. She felt her power roaming though her veins once more, and once again meeting at a point in her chest, where the energy could be realesed out of where ever Lily chose. She gasped, and then started panting, but held in her breath with a bite of her lip. A small, almost minescule ball of glowing green energy appeared under the teenager's hands. It seemed to grow with mroe power thee daughter of Chaos fueled it with, but she grew tired with every attempt. Lily could feel her energy slowly decreasing, and she was on the verge of fainting. The ball grew larger, until it finally fit the size of both her palms. A few seconds after that, Lily fell backwards, the ball fading into nothingness.

"Lily!" Connor cried, crawling himself over to the teenager.

~ Lily's strategy didn't work this time, but it will later.

"Lily!" Zin screamed, as she raced past Connor for her sister. She kneeled down by her side, and as she did, she had to admit, she was impressed. Lily indeed could do better than her. If she were built for destruction, Lily was for the healing. Who could have known such opposite personalities for twins?

"Are you okay?" she asked, once the adrenaline was gone. She smiled at her sister and had to praise her. "You know, I never tried on thinking that. That was very...amazing." she told her sister.

Lily winced a bit before opening her eyes. When she did, she noticed Connor and Zin standing by her sides. "Yeah, I'm fine," she insisted. The teenager picked herself up, and examined herself for any injuries.

"Uh, how about a little more help with the healing thing?" Zin offered, raising an eyebrow at her non identical twin. Not that she was baby-ing her, but she was just a little-a lot- overprotective with her sister. "I mean, if you're ready or something" she added.

Connor turned his head toward Zin. "Uh, Zin, I don't think she could take another blast. I know she's a daughter of Chaos and all, but she looks extremely pale." Lily tried to get up, but every attempt failed. Her muscles were too tensed for her to move, and almost everytime she breathed, she had to gasp for air. "Can't you do something?"

"I-I don't know." she said warily, gazing her silvery grey eyes at her sister's form. Why, she was the all powerful Zin, so why was she hesitating? She looked at Connor's Aunt, and back to Lily. Actually, she really was scared to fool around and mess up. This wasn't a game, this was a matter of life and death! "But I-I can try." she said with nervousness of a to-be-washed-cat. But before she went about with the business of healing, as if she could, she pulled her sister close and laid her into a chair.

Lily, with the best of her ability, concentrated all of her power in one point of her body, and released it. She had generated too much power inside of her for her to control, so letting it go was the only option besides death. "I'm fine," she panted. "Don't worry."

Zin breathed out. She could feel her own heart beat in her ears. "Too late on that." she chuckled at her own paranoid self. She looked at Connor, meeting his eyes with hers, and nodded. "I guess we could try. But I don't know how muc I could do." she told him with a sense of dread and her adrenaline shot up, as if she run a marathon. She looked at Lily, one last time and stood up. "C'mon." she
mumbled.

"No, no," Connor replied. "It's getting late out. Maybe we should . . . rest, and try again tomorrow. When Lily's fully recovered." He met his green eyes with Zin's silver, hoping she understood.
