"DO NOT sing in the rain!"

Baylee sat on her top bunk, listening to no music, but her earbuds were in her ears. This was a tequnique she used often to get people to ignore her. She gazed up at the glass ceiling, watching lightning strike the glass over, and over, and over again. Even though lightning never struck twice in one spot, that didn't count for the Zeus Cabin. The girl's hair was dancing with electricity, and she continued to play with the rim of her tight black shirt.

Baylee began to make up rhymes in her head, waiting for one of those moments where you think you could become a songwriter. None of them worked. She sighed and closed her eyes, yawning and thinking about her boyfriend, Jake, and how much she missed him. It wasn't quite time for her to move on. She needed to wait a bit longer for him to come back. "Where is he?" she muttered, looking around the minature world she created inside her own head.

At that moment, a young boy came bursting into the cabin. Not a good idea. "Come sing in the rain with me!" he shouted, shaking his dripping hair around. Baylee tried to ignore him, but he started dancing around with an umberella. She figured there was nothing else to do, but wait until he goes away. Minutes passed and he was still in the cabin! "DO NOT sing in the rain!" Baylee screamed, holding her head on the sides and shaking it side to side.

What had she done? Screamed at a 9 year old?
