Jasey smiled looking at her sister's actions. It was impressive, but she was his half sister. Of course she could shoot arrows very well. She was the daughter of Apollo. "Hmm,very good" Jasey complimented on her sister's movement. "Want to continue or have a break?" Jasey asked her sister that looked tired.

"Sure, let's take a break," she shrugged. Actually, she was tired. Not too tired but just tired... Ari sat down on the ground as her weapons turned back into a ring. "Hey, let's play truth or dare!" she suggested.

"Umm, okay." Jasey agreed to Ari's suggestion. In the outside he was okay but in the inside he was burning up. He had a lot of secrets that couldn't be told. Jasey was terrified by the questions or dares that would come but he just calmed himself. " You first." Jasey told his half sister.

Ari shrugged. And being the girl she is, she said aloud, "Dare me." She can't back down from any dare at all. Hubris is, of course, her fatal flaw.

"So you want me to dare you? Ok then." Jasey said to his half sister. He was thinking of a very challenging dare... not a stupid one that can hurt people's feelings. "Ummmm.... I dare you to run back and forth until you get tired." Jasey dared his sister. He thought that what he dared was so stupid. He couldn't hide his face. He wanted to bury himself in the ground.

Ari raised an eyebrow, but she laughed. She stood up and started to run from one side of the arena to the other. Back and forth, and back and forth, and back and forth. Until finally, about ten minutes later, she trudged back to her spot and sat down next to her brother, panting heavily. "Okay," she said. "Your turn."

"Dare me" Jasey said not wanting truth. Jasey was a very daring person. You name the dare... and he will do it. That's the kind of person Jasey is. He was in for a really scary dare or a really gross dare. He'll do it.

Ari sat up, still panting. "Okay then," she smiled evilly. "I dare you, to go over to the weapons rack, and lick three of the Ares kids' sword hilts."

Jasey was terrified by Ari's dare. The Ares kids never wash their swords.No joke. After training they just left their swords at the weapons rack. "Er... okay" Jasey choked down the words. Jasey went to the weapons rack and prayed to the gods it didn't taste that bad. Then, he went and picked up the swords and licked it. To Jasey's surprise the swords weren't that bad. Maybe the Ares kids had magic to wash their swords or something like that. "Your turn" Jasey said to his half sister while smiling.

If anyone could have a diguisted and awestruck face on right now, it would be Ari. Once Jasey came back, the same expression was still on her face. "Dare," she said once Jasey said it wad her turn.

Jasey was shocked knowing that his half sister still wanted to play the 'Dare' game. Maybe all demigods have a lot of secrets that couldn't be told Jasey thought. Jasey was still thinking of a dare for his half sister. Later, Jasey took his bottle of water from his backpack. He really needed to quench his thirst. Jasey always needed a drink to think.

"Er... I dare you to stop daring" Jasey said to his half sister with an awkward smile. How can you stop daring when this game was 'Truth or Dare' but he sticked to his dare feeling weird.

Jasey thought it wasn't fair. If she couldn't dare why should he? So he said, "Truth" Jasey told Ari. He was actually really uncomfortable but he always everything to be fair.

The tough leader

Zia casually strolled into the arena, her piercing, blue eyes scanning the area. Her dirty blonde hair flowed swiftly and carelessly in the afternoon breeze. Her celestial bronze sword, dynami - Greek for "strength," was held at her side, but ready for training.

The teenager studied the arena intentively, taking in the enviornment, and strategizing ways that she could use her surroundings as an advantage in battle. Off to the side near the bleachers was a weapons rack, stacked with all the weapons demigods were usually depicted with in both Greek mythology, and the present: swords, lances, daggers, etcetera. She could definitely snag one of the weapons from the rack, and use it if she ever lost her sword while fighting.

As Zia's blue-eyed gaze observed the structure, they sharpened themselves on two campers that were also in the arena. One, femine; appeared about her age. The boy, however, seemed to be relatively close to the age of eighteen. From what Zia could see, the two were playing some sort of game. Truth or dare? She shook her head at this, and then turned away; disregarding their precense. As much as she enjoyed socializing, she had much to do. Training was one, but also trying to figure out who her father is, and then get claimed.

As Jasey was waiting for a reply from Ari, Jasey focused on the weapon rack. He saw a girl with blue eyes and blonde hair. The girl was kinda beautiful. That's what he thought. " Ari, you wait here i'm going to introduce myself to that girl" Jasey said to his half sister while pointing to the unknown girl.

As Jasey approached the girl, he noticed the girl was sad. He could see it in her face. He knew how to observe people's feelings. That was one of his abilities. When Jasey was in front of the girl Jasey said, "Hi, i'm Jasey Stone 17. I'm also the son of Apollo. Who might you be?"

Zia, the cautious young teenager she was, immediately jerked her body to face the boy as he approached her. She studied his feature, attempting to calculate his physical strengths and weaknesses with a simple glance - Zia always liked to know what she was up against. After a few small moments, she refocused her intense blue eyes on the camper's face - Jasey, was it?

"Hello," she greeted with a small smile. She didn't intend on making Jasey feel unwelcomed around her - she truely did enjoy making new friends, but she always studied someone skeptically before engaging in any type of friendship. She didn't want to be betrayed; or killed, for that matter. Not after what she dealt with in her past - when she was ambushed by the three gorgons at the age of seven. "I'm Zia Merwood. Unclaimed."

Jasey studied the girl. So, her name was Zia. One of Jasey's best friend that was killed. He felt sad hearing that name again but withstand the feeling. "Hi, Zia nice to meet you" Jasey said wanting a good impression.

The girl must be a good fighter, Jasey thought. Her look was cold. Jasey felt that Zia was observing him too closely. "Want to sword-fight?" Jasey suggested. Jasey was a good swordsmen but he thought that Zia is better.

Zia took note of how Jasey seemed to tense up when she introduced her name. Had she said something wrong? She wasn't sure, but she raised an eyebrow when the son of Apollo seemed to be observing her. In an instant, the teenager raised her sword; shielding herself from Jasey's leery gaze. "Yeah, I'd enjoy a good fight."

Zia walked over to the weapons rack, grabbing a shield and strapping it on to her left arm. The shield shined a bright bronze, but there was no image that was forged into it. It was unique in structure, but also made for easy manuverability.

She continued, "I've been training my swordplay as long as I've been at camp. That's six years, so you better watch your back." Zia tightened her grip on her sword, and positioned herself in the tradition sword fighting battle stance. Her legs were perfectly alined with her shoulders. Her shield was held at her left shoulder; easily protecting her body, and a variety of vital organs. Zia's left foot was facing Jasey, and her right was pointing a little to the side, providing herself with a steady balance. With her left foot facing her opponent--the one that was located under the teenager's shield--it increased her defense by a large amount. With that, her sword was held only inches away from her shield, so that chest area looked like a triangle; her shield and sword serving as the sides, and her waist as the bottom.

"You can make the first move," Zia offered, sharpening her focus on her opponent.

"Woah, er... wait I got to get ready" Jasey said not ready for battle. Jasey went to the weapon rack picked up a shield and uncapped his sword 'Alexander' in greek it means the protector of men. It was a regular greek name and Jasey felt awkward with a sword named that.

Jasey then put on his armour to get ready for battle. He was kind of nervous fighting a girl who had almost the same experience as he had. Jasey felt like he needed to go easy on her but thought better of it. She was only an unclaimed thirteen year old. That could fight really good.

The words came back to Jasey's mind that Zia had trained for six years. It brought a shiver down Jasey's spine. He then did the same thing as Zia. It was a way of fighting he thought. After hearing Zia's offer Jasey felt uneasy. He didn't want to start first. So, he rejected. "Never mind, you start first" Jasey rejected the offer and told Zia to start first.

Zia concentrated all of her brain power on what attack she should use first. With Jasey's armor on, it made the tide of battle a tad difficult for her. She wouldn't be able to lunge into his chest, or attack his legs. She'd have to use full force, and be fast enough to catch her opponent in spots that were left vulnerable.

Zia chose a more practical manuever. She advanced forward, her position still the same, although she kept at a pace that was both fast and steady. With her shield still protecting her, the teenager raised her sword a little higher above her head, and lunged it into Jasey's armpit region, but in a spot a little lower than his armpit.

The attacked took Jasey by surprise. Not many swordsman use that skill these days but Jasey knew the girl was wise to do so knowing that it would be hard to attack his chest and leg if she hadn't. Once he saw the shot coming, Jasey stepped aside and blocked the attack with his sword.

Jasey had learn a lot of sword fighting skills. He had to pick an offence skill so that he could attack more other then defend. After the attack, Jasey remembered the four openings to attack. He observed every part of Zia's body that could be attacked. He saw that the right side of Zia was open. He simply moved to the left and lunged to the right side of Zia.

Ari looked on as she watched her half-brother and the Zia girl fight. She's had six years of training, which is really cool. Ari raised an eyebrow as Jasey fought, he was pretty good. Her dark green eyes watched the fight intensely.

Zia wouldn't allow herself to be beaten. The girl could be stubborn in some ways, but that could probably count as a good thing depending on the occasion. She moved swiftly with her body, bringing her shield to the point where Jasey's sword clanged off of the bronze metal. The shield seemed to rattle a bit, absorbing the vibrations of the impact. Although, the shield still remained intact; Zia wouldn't have to worry about loosing the object.

After defending herself against Jasey's onslaught, Zia repositioned herself in her battle stance. She took a small moment to play the next move she was about to make in her head; she wanted to ensure the manuver would work. At top speed, the teenager charged after her opponent, then crouched down near his legs. She brought her shield over her head to protect herself, but with her current position, her whole body was guarded from any offensive strikes. With that, Zia swung her sword at the back of Jasey's leg, hoping to at least trip him, or cause a temporary moment of pain.

When she had completed her move, Zia quickly got up, and had herself stationed behind Jasey. With as much momentum as possible, she thrusted her bronze shield into Jasey's back, expecting him to fall over - where she could have an advantage with the Apollo kid's body on the ground.

"Well," she said. "Are you 'just getting warmed up?'" Zia gave the boy a mischievious smile, a small glint in her blue eyes; as if telling him there was more that she was capable of.

Jasey was amazed the a thirteen year old girl could fight that good. He thought that Zia could beat him flat but he didn't give up. That was Jasey. If he was to fall he would stand up and fight back.

Jasey saw the attack coming but he couldn't do much as the girl had her shield on her head and the attack had made him fall. Jasey had to be quick, he jumped back up surprise to see that Zia was behind him. Then, he jumped aside and faced Zia and said, "There's more to come." Jasey was really concern that he would lose to this girl. She was only 13 and a very good fighter. Who is this kid Jasey thought.

When Jasey had his confidence back he positioned himself in his battle stance. He gripped his sword really tightly hoping that it would not fall. Later, he charged at Zia with his shield in his hand. He thrust his sword at Zia's left hoping that she would block the attack. While doing so, he hit Zia with his shield hoping she would fall and he could have the upper hand.

Zia felt a moment of supreme authority, realizing that Jasey was almost overcome by her swordplay skills. Although, it seemed the boy wasn't ready to give in, which really set the girl off. I'll end this soon enough, she thought. She gave him a mischievious smile, her blue eyes analysing the Apollo kid.

Her plan had seemed to work - partially. She was capable of pushing Jasey on to the ground, however; he had managed to quickly regain his balance. When she had lunged her shield into his back, the boy stepped aside; avoiding the assualt. Then, Zia heard Jasey's strong, male voice meet her ears. "Enlighten me," she replied, keeping her confidence level up.

When Jasey came charging at Zia's left, the force of his weight was to strong to prevent her from stumbling. She expected to feel her back hit the ground, but it didn't; she was floating only a few inches off the ground. While she was still in the same postion, Jasey's shield came hurtling above her. Whatever had happened to Zia managed to save her from another attack. The girl then started to float back up on to her feet, where she was left stunned for a few moments, but then averted her attention from the incident.

~ I brought her powers in for plot development. I don't want her claimed yet, though.
