I jump backwards, almost colliding into Adam. "Whoa!" I exclaim as the flames surrounded the boy. I picked up the flowers off the of the grass and stood a few feet away from the flames. I see the boy moving towards the flames. I gasp saying, "Adam! He's going to hurt himself!"

I put down the marble flowers and walk quickly over the boy once the flames are gone. I grab him by the arm and shove him away from the border. "Do you want to get yourself killed?" I ask.

get yourself hurt." I pick up my flowers and walk over to Adam.

I looked over at Adam and whispered back, "I don't know. But whatever it is, I hope he's gets someone to help him." I look over where the boy was. I ran my fingers over the petals on the flowers.

"I was attacked by a dracenea(i think that's how you spell it), and my parent's died defending me. I was then led here by my friend, Kaitlyn. She died too though." I said, sighing.

When Adam told me this, I felt a chill down my spine. "Oh gods. I'm...I'm so sorry," I say looking the ground. "That must be really hard to deal with."

"Eh...you have to move on though. That's another thing you have to learn. We, demigods, work our butts off so some monsters can come kill our loved ones and ruin our lives. We don't get respect, the gods treat us like crap. As soon as you discover your a demigod your likfe turns to hell." I said, clenching my fists. Anger surged through me.

I noticed Adam's hand clench and moved towards him saying, "Hey, it's not that bad. I mean, look at what you can do! That's amazing! People want to be like us, even if it's a burden. True, we may not be appreciated the way we should, but we can still have fun with it." I half-smiled.
