Ace Ashfield

Observing an item in the store that had caught my eye, I raised it to examine the price tag before snorting and putting it down and moving on to look at something else. Alright, so I was broke, but I could afford something a little cheap - not that I really wanted to buy anything or something. I wasn't a shopaholic or whatever girls called it. Just wanted to buy something for some reason. Maybe it's 'cause with the war going on, I could die any day now. Might as well spend all the money I've got, not as if I had any real use for it. Money was a useless thing. It caused too many fights, too many problems, truth be told, I kind of hated it.

"Gods, why can't we just share everything peacefully without having to deal with something as stupid as money?" I mumbled to myself, crossing my arms and eying a coffee mug. Did I even drink coffee?

I walked in the camp store. I just felt like buying something. I didn't come in here often. Only to buy extra clothes when something ripped. It was a warm spring day and I enjoyed it here. I counted my money. I guess I had more then a little over half the people here, but it definitely wouldn't get me anything designer. I looked at a snow globe of camp. There were different ones for the different places in camp. I wanted to get two, but they were each $25. I decided to buy the one of the Apollo Cabin. I browsed some more. I saw another camper, a boy. I simply say, "Hello." I wasn't much for being talkative today.

Raising my head, I turned and looked around while mouthing "Me?" before studying her briefly. Daughter of Apollo, no doubt about it, she had that Apollo aura about her. I liked children of Apollo, actually. It came from liking their dad too, he was a nice guy (and a total flirt), so I came to think of them as good people. "Hey." I greeted, brushing a hand through my hair. It was longer than I would have liked, I would have to get it cut soon. "What do you think of the prices at this place?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"They're okay. A little pricy if you ask me. Still, they're okay. By the way, I'm Renae. Renae Maloney, daughter of Apollo. Who are you?" I smiled and browsed a shelf of merchandise. Nothing seemed of interest.

Furrowing my eyebrows, I looked the mug over once more before putting it back on the shelf and fully turning to the girl who introduced herself as Renae. "Name's Ace, Ace Ashfield." I said, offering a hand for her to shake. I left out who my god parent was most of the time - although they always seemed to know anyways. I don't know why, I wasn't even a significant camper and I certainly wasn't skilled at necromancy. Maybe I had some sort of brooding aura about me.

Maybe it was my last name. "Ashfield" did some suspiciously dark and deathly or something.

It also didn't help that we had our own cabin now - though the space was much more comfortable than being crammed in the Hera cabin with other minor gods/Hades children like sardines.

"You looking for somethin' specific or are you just browsing like me?" I asked, looking down at my hand before looking back up at her.
