I sighed as I flopped down onto my bunk. My life was a wreck. Everything was messed up, and I didn't know why. This thing between Will and I - I'm confused. What happened? Why did this happen? That was Hell by itself, but his mother had just died. Yah, my sister. It seems like, for a second time, my life was crashing. Stressed out, I ran my fingers through my hair. Ugh, I seemed to hate my life.

Will, who was the cabin leader's bunk, was sleeping soundly. In his sleep, he rolled over onto the left side of his bed and gave a loud snort in his sleep. He was sleeping like a log. His life had been hell a few weeks ago. But, now it was alright. He was starting to get over Bellinda and Maddie. Not quite his mother, but yeah.

Hearing a snore, I looked around for anyone else. Being very bored, and tired, I did a stupid thing. Yes, I went into Will's room. He was there, sleeping.

"Oops..."

I said to myself. Before I could leave, I looked at Will again. Damn, I missed him.

Rolling over again, accidently off his bed, Will hit the floor with a loud thud. He ended up whacking his head on the table, causing the lamp to fall and smash the bulb. Throughout the whole occourence Will barely stirred. Only when he sat up to belch, then he was awake.

"Holy crap!"

I shouted as the bulb shattered. Glass shards covered the ground around Will, who had just burped himself awake. Then, things seemed to get awkward for me. I wanted to say hi and stuff, but then, I didn't. There was also that quick moment where I thought about hugging him, but that'd be even more weird.

"A-Are you o-okay?"

I asked Will.

Will looked over and said, "Yeah. I'm fine." He grunted as he stood up and brushed himself off. He wore a plain gray v-neck t-shirt with a dark pair of Levis riding dangerously low on his hips. He looked ruffled and his cheeks were slightly pink from his nap. He was barefoot. Will flopped back down on his bed and plucked a dagger from a drawer. "So what brings you here on this fine day?"

"Good..."

I said, happily. I was happy that he was okay, which was good. Taking one look at Will, I mentally sighed. Yeah, I missed him. He was squishy and all, and was nice to talk to. Will was also cute, which was a great bonus.

"Uh... I heard you snoring?"

I said doubtfully. Even though that's what I said, I think it was mostly because I wanted to be with Will. Be by him. Just... Talk. My eyes looked around the once Zan's room. It was tidy in the Cabin Leader room. Cozy, too. Wait, why was I thinking about that? Another mental sigh, and I focused on Will. He was still cute.

"Oh. Yeah. I've heard I do that alot." The teen scratched the back of his head awkwardly. He definitely missed Madeline. But maybe it was for the best. And he did have Carly. Carly was as fun as Maddie and as pretty. Maybe even more pretty. She wasn't materialistic. Then again, neither was Maddie. Will subconsiously shook his head. "So...how have you been?"

"So... I heard you and Carly are hitting it off..."

I said silently, my voice sounding upset. He and Carly were getting along great, and she was probably better than me for Will. I tried to not think about them. What I did think about was Adam, but I didn't know about him. It seemed like I liked Will more... Yet, he was getting over me. I scrunched up my face, and plopped down on the floor to sit. My arms never folded, my face relaxed, no grunts. I was just... Sad. I couldn't let Will know, though. Maybe this was better for us? But, we never fought. Maybe fate decided that Will and I weren't good for each other?

"Pfft..."

I muttered silently at my thought. Sitting there, criss-cross apple-sauce (xD) on the ground, I looked up at Will. He looked happy. Seems like in every break-up, both people don't end up happy, only one. I guess I got the bad end of the stick.

Will watched his ex sit down on the floor. She looked real sad. He sighed and slid off the bed onto the floor. "Hey. That's your sad face. Are you a sad unicorn?" He lifted up her chin with a long finger and turned it in the direction of his face. "Turn that frown upside down." He was trying to make her feel better with silly cliches. But sometimes, cliches worked. Other times...they just ruined things.

"Yezz..."

I answered as my face was lifted upward. Will's head was right there. His hair was real scruffy, like normal. When he told me to turn my frown upside down, I smiled. But the smile soon faded. Realizing how Will felt, normal, made me feel worse. Why couldn't I just get over him? It was a simple relationship, nothing more. Sighing, I frowned more.

Will watched her face. "Madeline..." He began, "I'm sorry we broke up. But...hey...maybe we just weren't meant to be. Maybe it's for the best. You know...if you and I had gone out for years and years and then broken up...maybe you would've ended up as a lonely cat lady. But since we broke up now, maybe in a few days you'll meet your soulmate." Will's face contorted for a moment, "scratch that part about cats." He wasn't very good at pep talks. It was a good thing he was handsome. "Hey, if you want...I could introduce you to my friend."

"I... I know..."

I said, and then began to tap my knee. What Will said, though, didn't help, and I glared at him. And my obvious answer to his question?

"No."

I removed my frown, leaving a normal facial expression. My hair, let down, covered my ears. When I looked back down, it tickled my little ear, letting out a small giggle. I frowned, and began to get up.

The cabin leader frowned. "If you say so, Maddie." He wondered if she was just being stubborn. Michael wasn't all that bad. Just a little rough around the edges. "So...do you like my earrings?" He grinned as he lifted up some wavy hair and showed Maddie his little horn thingies. (xD Gah. The name escapes meh))

"Sure..." she muttered, and puffed out a sigh. "Later..." she said, and began to walk into the main part of the Zeus cabin. Maddie wasn't very happy. In fact, her mom had just died. She kept it to herself, not wanting anyone to know about it. Just thinking about her mom, her awesome mom. A tear rolled down her cheek, and she wiped it quickly.

Will looked alarmed. Suspsicion flashed over his face. He really didn't trust emotionally unstable people. "Maddie, baby? You wanna talk?" His voice was sweet and gentle, like the father Maddie never had. Like the father he never had. Mostly due to the fact that after he was born, Zan killed Steven in the arena for leaving Will.

"N-no..." she stuttered out, and began to walk out of Will's room some more. Even when he used the word "baby", Maddie refused to stay. Her feet clicked on the wooden floor, and then, she just stopped walking. In the middle of the cabin, Maddie thought. She thought about her life now. Everyone in her family was gone, nobody to trust. Camp was Hell, and Maddie didn't get along with most people. Everything seemed to go bad, and Maddie knew this was 10x worse than before. Everything was a level one stage, but now, this was like, level one million.

Will simply stood there like a moron. Just watching her walk out of his life, symbolically of course. She obviously still loved him, as did he, but he was learning to get over her. She'd always be in his heart. But...loves come and go and Carly was coming. Maddie was going. She'd find a new love soon. She'd find a new best friend. "I'm sure you've gotten through worse in the past. What would Zan want you to do? Do you think she'd want you sitting around all day moping and feeling sorry for yourself? No. She'd want you out there being the crazy, fun-loving girl you are." Will's words came out harsher than he meant.
