Jake noticed the James had an uneasy smile, "Um.. land mine? In the cabin?" Jake chuckled and said "Yup, the Ares cabin has land mines in it, I don't think they changed the locations of those mines for a while though."

James frowned, then smiled. "Fine. If the Ares cabin has land mines, then I'll go to the Athena cabin. They don't have any land mines right?" James asked, his smile wavering.

Jake thought for a few seconds and said "Well I'm pretty sure Athena's cabin doesn't have any but it has over a thousand books in there, literally, and cupboards filled with architectural stuff."

James cursed. "Fine then I'll go to the Hecate cabin! I have friends there. other then you." James said with a smile, happy that he had figured out where he would go.

Jake laughed as James cursed but immediately stopped as James said he would go to the Hecate cabin, and the fact that he had friends there other then him, a small smile appeared on his face and Jake said "Sure, you can go ahead and join, just be careful not to make any of the magic stones fall or else everyone within a half mile will get turned into a tree." Jake finished with a slight chuckle.

James gave him a look, as if to say 'Are you serious?' James laughed, stopped laughing as he thought about it, then just smiled.

James lost his smile. "Um, maybe I'll just stay outside the cabin. Yeah, outside the cabin sounds like a plan." James said with a look of dread, as he thought about accidentally turning all the campers into trees.

James cursed. "Well why do you guys have a tablet like that inside your cabin?" James asked. It just sounded dangerous. Way to dangerous.

Jake chuckled as James cursed and asked why the Hecate cabin had a stone like that kept in there, Jake gave him a look as if to that showed that the answer should have been obvious, "To practice magic of course, something to use it as an ingredient for a stronger spell, and sometimes for a joke."

James looked at him like he was crazy. "So you guys sometimes play jokes by turning the entire camp into trees?" James asked with a look of horror on his face.

Jake had to control himself to keep himself from bursting out with laughter, "You actually believed that last part? It was just a joke man take it easy. And now that i think of it those stones could be used to turn Kronos's army into trees, good way to block the army from advancing and taking out most of the army at the same time."

James stared at him blankly, then laughed. "I thought you were serious!" James said "I know it would be good, but it could be risky. maybe a little to risky."

Jake shrugged and said "If any campers are turned into trees then the Hecate cabin will have to use a reverse spell on the campers. Though I would imagine that would take quite a lot of energy."

James nodded. James stared at the sky. "Wonder when the next attack will be." James said. He was really starting to dread an attack. And the worst part is that it could happen at any moment.

Jake sighed as James mentioned about the war, about when the next battle might be, "It would be any time, James. Thats what i hate about it, Kronos's forces can strike anytime because their army size is ridiculously huge."

James sighed. "Would you think less of me if I said I was scared of battle?" James asked, still looking at the sky and at the clouds.

Jake switched his gaze from the grass to James once he asked his question of if Jake would think less of him if he said he was scared of battle, "Hades no, everyone has to be scared of war. Well Ares and his cabin not included, a small 1 on 1 fight maybe not but a war, most people would be scared out of their wits to fight in one, especially since our enemies are the titans. Nobody can blame you if you were scared of fighting them."

((Hades no is basically Hell no but since we're demigods i figured i'd use Hades no instead))

James looked at the ground. James sighed and said, "You were in the last battle right?"

Jake immediately looked at the ground once James asked his question, he had felt guilty for being a camper in here for 6 years and miss out on all three of the battles so far, "No.... i missed all of the three battles so far....." Jake said quietly.

James looked up at Jake. "What happened that made you miss them?"

Jake sighed and said, "The first one, I slept through it, i thought everything would've been fine and taking a nap would be okay, and i ended up missing a mini-war. The 2nd time i was practicing my magic and accidentally used too much energy for something i was trying to do and blacked out, when i woke up in the infirmary there were some injured demigods in there. And in the third one, I was cleaning dishes as punishment for setting something on fire by accident. I couldn't hear the sounds of a battle from that stupid kitchen."

James frowned. 'Jake has some bad luck.' He thought. "That's to bad. That's also very unlucky. Someone should have come and got you. I would be mad if I missed all three battles. Especially if someone I knew died."

I've been around for quite a long time so i know a lot of campers, a few of them died, some betrayed us and went to Kronos's side."
