James had deflected his slash, good, things were going according to his plan, James dove right beside Jake and slashed both of his knives towards Jake's chest as he came up, Jake used just shield to block the attack and jumped backwards, creating distance between himself and James, he was just 2 feet away from the edge of his darkness circle.

James leaped forward and slashed one knife at Jake's torso, the other at his shoulder. An old trick but if it connected the battle could be Jame's.

Jake smirked as James leaped forward to attack him, 'Nows my chance!' Jake thought Jake jumped backwards, out of the circle, once he was out of the circle, the a pillar of darkness 10 feet wide burst out from it, wrapping around James, stopping him from moving.

James struggled again. James was able to use his knife, and cut a long strip out of the darkness and moved his knife to start cutting at the rest of the darkness.

Jake smirked as James started cutting the darkness, his shield turned back into a ring and he faced the palm of his shield hand towards Jake and 20 arms flew out, Jake also made the darkness pillar increase in size to distract James more.

James freed his other arm. He was about to be free of the ball, when it started getting bigger. James cut more at it and didn't notice the arms coming toward him till it was to late.

Jake's plan worked, James was too focused on the pillar of darkness that he was stuck in to notice the hands which just reached James, two of the hands grabbed James' arms by the wrist and another two hands took away his knives while the other six stood by just in case James could somehow break free of the hands' grip.

James struggled against one, and was able to break through it using all his strength, but then another Hand shot forward and grabbed his wrist again. James Gave one last big struggle and failed.

Jake smirked and said "I win", snapped his fingers and the darkness evaporated into thin air. Jake walked over to James and said "Nice match."

James smiled and cursed a little. "If only Aphrodite had some special magic powers i could have inheirited." James said jokingly, rubbing his wrists. That was a pretty good match though.

Jake chuckled as James cursed, "If only Aphrodite had some special magic powers i could have inherited." Jake thought about it for a while and said "Aphrodite does have something you could've inherited, Charmspeaking. Its effective in convincing people into doing something you want them to do."

James smiled. "Oh, I already know about that. I did inherit it. Though I don't like using it on people very often." James said, then thought about it for a moment, and added, "Or guys." He said with a laugh.

James shook his head. "I feel like I'm using people and I hate that feeling. It makes me feel bad, because they have no choice. I've used it before and didn't understand what was going on when they gave me what I wanted." James looked up at the clear sky.

Jake listened to James' explanation and sighed, "I wouldn't like using a power like that unless i had absolutely no choice either. Though you being a charmspeaker could be very useful in the war, I heard charm speaking works on everything, perhaps you could stop the monsters from fighting and we could have an easier battle."

James laughed. "I doubt I could stop any monster with charm speak. I could probubly stop a demi-god. But not a monster. It would probubly think I was crazy for talking to it and try to eat me." James said smiling.

Jake laughed at the thought of James talking to a hellhound and it pouncing on James trying to eat him. "True, but if your charm speaking power increases you might be able to."

James laughed. "I still don't think I'd want to use it on monsters. Maybe a cyclops." James said thinking about monsters that could actually talk. "Cyclops's have little brains right?" James asked.

Jake listened to James say he still didn't think he'd want to use it on monsters but maybe a cyclops, James then added "Cyclops have little brains right?" Jake snorted and said "Depends on which cyclops, some could be smart but most are dumb, no offense to Poseidon since hes the father of most cyclops though."

James looked at him weirdly. "Poseidon is the father of all cyclops?" James asked, thinking Jake was just kidding. "I mean no offence to Poseidon, but they are kinda ugly. I didn't expect them to be god born. I thought other cyclops bore them."

Jake chuckled a second time and said, "As i said, Poseidon is the father of most cyclops, not all cyclops, they are the result of Poseidon and nymphs or some other gods, i believe Gaia and Ouranos has a few cyclops children in the past as well. Poseidon is just the most common father for the cyclops nowadays."

James laughed. "That's cool, I guess. But all I know is that I'm going to find a certain cyclops and kill it for what it did to me." James said with a grim look.

Jake stared at James for a little while after he spoke and said, "Thats sad, luckily the cyclops at Poseidon's palace aren't like that."
