James Valentine at the beach

"Just looking at nothing.You know 'the distance'?"I said gesturing my hand at the empty ocean.Other than the occasinal dolphin and sea monster there wasnt much.

James smiled. He did that sometimes to. "So were you serious about teaching me how to use knives?" James asked excitedly.

While James was waiting for him answer he looked around at the scenery. While he was looking around, his eyes lingered on Scarlett for a moment. He looked at her snow she had just created and smiled at her.

"Of course Im serious!I dont want you to get killed in a fight!"I said dramatically waving my hands in the air.I was serious about three thing.1.Candy2.Anime3Weapons.Not nescesarily in that order.I really liked aphrodite campers for some reason.I guess its because Im such a shakespear fanatic.'would a rose not still smell as sweet by any other name?'

James laughed. "That's great! Ever since I got here I hoped i would be able to learn how to use these so that what happened will never happen again." James frowned as he thought about his home and his father and that cyclops.

"If you want to learn I will teach you.I grew up teaching some kids to read so im pretty sure I can teach you to fight with a dager."I said starting to flip my dager,my hands looking like a blur.I looked at thr ocean spotting another sea serpent.

James smiled again. "Great." James takes out his daggers, stood up, and twirling them slowly in his hands. James accidentally scratched his index finger and smiled. "I guess I need more practice." James laughed.

"Yes you do."I said tacking out a bandage and handing it to him."Lesson number one.Never leave an open wound inflicted by a dager open because you are constantly holding your dager making it the germyest weapon you can have.Your hand gets infected I cant help you.Well I could but I suck at medicenal spells."I said leaning back on my hands and putting a playful smile on my face.He was a good guy.You dont find that often.

James looked scared. "I hate infections! They are so ugly! It makes it so hard to look good." James really did hate infections. He thought they were one of the ugliest things ever created.

I laughed at what he said.I had almost forgoten he was an aphrodite camper."I hate infections too."I said smiling.He had gotten me to smile.This guy was a miracle worker.I scooped up some sand in my hands letting it fall through my fingers.

James stared at her. "Don't laugh! It's not funny!" James laughed. "I guess i do belong with the Aphrodite kids after all." James ran one of his black knives up his arm.

"HA HA! I got you to laugh.Now my laughing dosent count."I said looking at him with a lopside grin on my face."You have a favorite place to put your dagger?"I asked,patting my dagger holder wich was straped to my thiegh.

James looked at her and smiled. James showed her the sheath under his left arm and the sheath on his right thigh. "This keeps things interesting. I'm a master at taking them out. Its getting them back in without stabbing myself. That's the challenging part." James said with a laugh.

"I know what you mean.First time I put on the dagger back in the holster I cut myself."I said the old memory coming back to me.My dad had said to lick the wound but I just put neosperin on it."You have any favorite battle scars?"I asked knowing that most aphrodite campers didnt like to fight or have imperfections.BUT he was different.I like different.

James looked at her like she was crazy. "Do you not see this giant scar going down my face?" James asked as he pointed to the scar going down his face.

"Oh!"I said.Id just noticed this big scar going down his face."Sorry I guess.I look at who the person not the physical appearance.PLUS your aura is friging amazing.I mean it looks tie dye then bleu then random."I said meaning the hole not the appearance thing.I didnt care what a person looked like as long as they were nice or had a good reason to look like crap.I bet he thinks Im crazy too.I didnt really tell people about their auras.I think Im one of the few who can see an aura.Gods I am weird.

James got a confused look on his face. "Aura?" He asked as he looked at himself. He couldn't see anything. "What do you mean my aura?" He stared at her with his confused look.

"Its this thing us children of hecate do.Its kind of like your souls energy that we can see.Yourse is really interesting.Its a light blue but a part of the edge is a dark red.Its really complicated."I said hoping I didnt sound like some crazy freak.I had really come to like this guy but of coarse my weirdness usually butt in like'oh no your about to have a life.I must stop this positive thing!'.I usually say to much around cute guys and James was for sure cute.

James looked at her weirdly. "What do those colors mean? I mean, Does it mean like I'm a nice guy but have a dark side?" He says laughing.

"Im Minerva,daughter of hecate.This is my freind James."I said gesturing to myself then to james.There were a lot of new people popping up.
