James Valentine at the beach

James looked at the sun. It was a weird shade of red mixed with orange. "Well I'm sure this aura thing is pretty confusing sometimes. It must be weird that other people can't see it." James said, with a little smile.

'You have no idea.Im pretty sure some of my own siblings think Im crazy since they cant see it either.Its not a very common gift."I said.I put my head against his shoulder trying to block out bad thoughts.Sometimes us hecate kids powers work with our negative emotions on there own accord.

James put his head against hers. "Must be annoying a lot." James didn't understand, cause he had never been able to do a lot of things others couldn't. "Though it would be pretty cool to be able to see peoples feelings and stuff." He said. "It could be very useful."

"It is sometimes but most of the campers are angst tenagers with horamones bubbling in their blood like lava.Emotions are handed out around here like free lolipops at a daycare."I said.Sure it was useful in battle but in real life unless you wanted to know that persons every single emotion it wasnt fun.I opened my eyes and stared at James eyes finding comfort in them.

James stared back at her. "I'm sorry that I can't help you with it." He said in a tender and caring voice. "It's something you'll have to live with for the rest of your life. I'm sure that you'll get used to it, sooner or later."

"Yeah.Im sure."I said continuing to look at his eyes and putting a small smile on my face..There was something hipnotic about his eyes that interested me.It was probably something aphrodite kids could do.I liked James eyes.They were the same eyes most movie stars and famous models had.

James stared hard into her eyes. Her eyes were very unique. James couldn't look away from them. The purple on the edges, he hadn't seen anything like them. James leaned in closer to her and looked harder at her eyes. James then realized he was almost close enough to kiss her and backed away a little, blushing.

"Now why are you blushing?"I asked though I knew perfectly well why.I was probably blushing too.I looked back at the clouds spotting one that was a little startiling."James.I think Circe is sending me a message."I said pointing too the weird cloud.It had a shape that looked exactly like the charm on my necklace being cut in half.

James looked up at the cloud, recognized the shape of Minis charm, then looked over at Mini. "What do you think it means?"

"Probably the usual 'Im gonna get you when you least expect it'."I said rolling my eyes with a frown on my face.Of coarse she has to threaten me just when everything was all fine and dandy.I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath.

James shook his head. 'Stupid clouds. ruining the moment.' He thought with a scowl on his face. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna let stupid Circe hurt you anymore. I promise." James said as he held Mini close.

I hugged him and closed my eyes."Has anyone ever told you you are simply charming?"I asked him opening my eyes staring intently at his.I wouldnt mind staring at the all day.I put a kind smile on my face.I enjoyed being with James.

James smiled back at her. "I've been told that once or twice." James said with a sly smile. Jame was caught looking at her eyes again. They were to beautiful to not look at them. Again, James leaned forward, but this time he didn't lean back.

James leaned closer to her, staring deep into her eyes. James had leaned so close their lips met, and James was so shocked, he jumped. "Sorry." He said blushing.

James looked at her in surprise. "I'm sorry. It wasn't you. I just didn't mean to kiss you. I kinda forgot everything else when i looked at your eyes and leaned a bit to close." James said with a little lame laugh.

I rolled my eyes."And what do you think happened with me?You and your cuteness are deadly!"I said jokingly pointing a guilty finger in his direction.I had actually wondered how we ended up kissing at all.Bet his mom is doing more than just sending funny clouds.

James said "I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you." James leaned in and really kissed her. When he kissed there was like a little spark in-between them. James hadn't felt that before. and with his mother being Aphrodite, he's had a lot of experiences.

James stopped kissing Mini, and looked at her. "How was that?" He asked with a look of confusion on his face. What was that weird shocking sensation he had felt when they kissed? To James, that kiss had been like ecstasy.

"That was awsome."I said staring him straight in the eyes.James had been my knight in shining armor.I gave him a hug and said"I am such a sucker for cute sons of aphrodite.".

James laughed, then looked at her seriously. "How many of my brothers have you been with?" He asked staring at her.

"Zero.Im pretty sure most of them were jerks anyways."I said.I kissed him on the cheek and resumed hugging him.It was cute how he questioned me.It showed he cared.

James laughed and hugged her back. Hes never felt this way about anyone before. James didn't know what was happening to him. He thought he was going to explode. the hug made his stomach flutter, like butterflies. "Not all Aphrodite guys are jerks."
