James Valentine at the beach

"Dont feel bad.Most demigods only get to see their parents once or twice.Their not allowed to interfere in our lives to much."I said patting him on the back.Our parents were a touchy subject here at camp.We didnt see them often and sometimes felt as if they didnt care about us.I understood what he wasgoing through.

James put on a smile. "I want to go to Olympus and meet my mom someday." He said, matter-of-factly.

"That'd be fun.We could all go together.I wonder when the next feildtrip to olympus is.Do you guys know?"I asked.I had never been to olympus but I heard it was awsome.

"Yes. Cause I definatly knew the camp took us to Olympus each year." James said with a little laugh. "I didn't even know about Olympus till a week ago."

"Oh watever.We should ask a cabin leader.They seem to know what in hades is going on."I said.I layed down and stared at the sky.I was always looking down at my spell book or my surroundings and not looking up often.I liked looking at the sky.It was so big and blue.

James laid down beside her. "So Zeus owns all of that?" He asked smiling. James thought it would be stressful to be in control of the entire sky. A lot of responsibility.

"I guess thogh I think Hera does too.Never bothered to ask."I said in a calm voice.I spotted a weird shaped cloud and pointed it out."Look at that weird cloud.Whats it look like to you?"I said staring at it transfixedly.

James looked at it and laughed. "It looks like a cloud to me." He said with a smile and turned his head to face Mini. James looked at her eyes. James thought they were beautiful. They were black with with purple at the edges.

I looked back at James.I hadnt seen that many sons of aphrodite but Im sure James was the cutest."No it kinda looks like a guy running.Angle your head to the left."I said pointing at the weird cloud again.We had ridden a dolphin almost gotten killed by a sea serpent and yet we could still watch clouds all on the same day.We were troopers.

James looked back at the cloud and turned his head to the side. "Yeah it kinda does." James said with a laugh. What a great day. Well, aside from the almost dieing part. Other than that, it was perfect.

I looked around and saw another cloud that looked like something very familiar."Look at that one.Dosent it kind of look like a dove flaping its wings?"I said pointing it out.We were watching clouds.I guess almost dieing made you appreciate the little things in life.

James looked over at the cloud. "Yeah it does. Wonder if it's a sign?" James said hopefully. If his mom sent him a sign, it meant that she did care about him. Maybe she was proud of him killing that sea serpent.

Suddenly the cloud turned pink and dissapeared."Yes it is."I said.

James stared at the cloud in amazement. Aphrodite did care. She's been watching him. He was important to her. James stared at the sky where the cloud had been, long after it disappeared. 'She actually cared' James thought, a smile spreading across his face.

James was excited. He had never gotten a message from a goddess before. Even though it wasn't much. Just a cloud really. But it meant a lot to James. James looked over at Mini and smiled. When he saw Minis frown, He asked, "Whats wrong?"

I quickly made the frown dissapear."Just thinking about my mom.I only met her once but I still ended up looking crazy."I said being honest with him.To me James was dependable and kind enough to understand.

James looked back at the sky. James like this. Just chilling out on the beach with a cute girl with him. James wished he could do this everyday. "I understand." James said.

James stretched his arm around Mini. James never thought he would have a normal day again when he found out he was a demi-god. He laughed at that thought now. Being a demi-god wasn't going to stop him from having normal days. He'd just have less normal days then usual.

I let James put his arm around me.I felt safe there since he had saved my life and done the exact same thing afterwards."Whats so funny?"I asked him after he laughed randomly.

James looked at Mini confused. "Um did I laugh out loud?" James asked, still confused. Had he accidently laughed out loud? That was so imbarrasing.

Opps."Sorry.If I read your arau for too long I can tell your emotions."I said opologeticaly.His arau was just too cool not to look at.I stopped twirling my dager and put it back in its holster.

James looked back at her. He still had an embarassed look on his face. "I didn't think i laughed." James said with a laugh.

"Your laughing so often its hard to tell the difrence."I said laughing along with him.I had such a thing for sons of aphrodite and so far my favorite was James.I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath.The air was so pure around the beach.
