James Valentine at the beach

James put his arm around her and hugged her. "I'm sorry. We have to think of a way to make Circe pay. She has caused you to much pain to let her get away with this." James said with a small bit of anger in his voice.

I staightened up and put a more serious look on my face.Crying and feeling sorry for myself wasnt going to help with anything."Maybe we could try to iming my mom.Its worth a shot."I said.I reached into the pockets of my shorts and pulled out a drachma.

James looked at the drachma. "What is that?" James asked as he examined the coin.

"Money of the gods.Its kind of like their commerce.You can use them to send Iris messages."I said passsing him the coin.I hadnt thoght he wouldnt know what a drachma was.

James Hands it back and says "Throw it into the rainbow!" James hoped they got it in time.

I did what he told me and got it just in time."Oh godess iris accept my offering."It went in and asked for who to contact."Hecate."I said.I didnt really know were she was but hopefully iris did.

James watched in amazement as the coin disappeared. Then he heard a weird voice asking for who to contact.

I waited for Iris to find Hecate hoping she could find her at all.As we waited I looked over to James and said"Pretty nifty huh?"

James looked back to Mini. "It's amazing! I never even heard of this!" He said as he kept watching the rainbow.

James looked over at her. "Why so many?" James asked. He didn't think it would be that expensive to contact someone through mist.

James nodded. "Sounds like a pain to me. So if we are safe in side camp half-blood, why can't we use cell phones in here?"

"A lot of monsters dont know where camp half blood is and we like to keep it that way.I dont think it worked."I said looking at the mist.There was still no response and I was starting to loose hope.My mom was probably a busy person.

James sighed. "We should try again later. if she doesn't answer, then we'll try again, and again. We will bother her till she answers your calls." James said with a small smile.

"I bet shes in the middle of making a charm.Thats what I would be doing anyways."I said.I took out my dager and slashed the mist.I started twirling it in my hands enjoying the memorable ryhthm.

"Shes not very nice. If you were my daughter i would pay attention to you." James said with a smile. "How come the gods and goddess are such jerks to their kids?"

"There not jerks its just there busy most of the time.I just hope she answers at all.Some gods like zues or hades,are usually busy and they dont have a lot of time for their kids but the minor gods usually answer in one or two days."I said trying to cheer him up.He really cared about my safety wich made me feel all warm and bubily.James was the nicest guy I knew.

James frowned. He had just thought of something. Why hasn't he ever met his mother? Did she not care about him as much as she did about her other children? The thought made James uneasy, so he pushed it aside. "Yeah, I'm sure they care."
