Leah's Bunk (Open)

I sat on my bunk, looking around at the cabin I knew so well. Even after living in Camp Half-Blood for 6 years, still I sometimes had difficulties grasping the fact that I was a demigod. I pulled a small mirror out of the back pockets of my purple skinny jeans, studying my own features. The fact that I was a child of Aphrodite made me smile. Beauty could easily get you attention and free things, 2 things I absolutely loved. Aphrodite was the goddess of love and beauty, and, being her offspring, that made me appreciate those things more. Before I had discovered I was truly a half-blood, I had thought that my mom had died during child birth. MY child birth. Glad I was to see it wasn't true. That was just the excuse my dad had given me to disguise my true identity. Dad. I tried not to think about him, his passing away. Squeezing back tears, I leaned back on my bed and looked around for someone to speak to.

I nodded at Teru. "Hey" I said with a smile, but a little to quiet. I thanked him for the respect, grinning. My personality didn't gain me much respect. "Anything new with you?" I questioned, trying to start up a conversation.

"It's no different right now. Good, I guess." I responded, not sure what to say next. "So.. how are you?" I asked quickly and awkwardly, and was mad at myself because I couldn't think of anything smarter to say.

I frowned a little and admitted "I don't actually have a weapon." This suddenly started to worry me, and I felt a little stupid to not own a weapon considering there were so much monsters and things. Reluctantly, I admitted this to him, how dumb I truly felt. "Probably I should go get one made, but I don't think I'd do that well with weapons. I'm not exactly the strongest or fastest person you'll ever meet." "Weapon + Me = Bad idea. I tend to get angry a lot and snap out on people. But I can't help it." I frowned slightly, as much as I didn't want to admit it, I did have a lot of flaws.

OOC: I'll be back in a while.. 30 minutes tops, I would guess.

BIC: "Your dad is dead to..?" I asked, trying to push it a little out of my mind. "So is mine.." I replied. Wrapping my mind around the Apollo kid tripping, I laughed also. It felt good to be having a normal conversation, not about the latest fashion trends or whatever. I loved fashion and such, but it was just a little unusual, in a good sense, for me.

Eyes watering slightly, I frowned and tried to not cry. Good thing I wore water-proof makeup that day. "My dad died of a car crash. A taxi, actually. I had no idea what to do. I was so close to him." I said, voice cracked. Quickly, I tried to push away the subject. "So uh... any news from our other siblings you find interesting?"

I nodded. "That's no reason for them to be mad at you. Hopefully they'll come to their senses. They love helping people find love, as do I. But sometimes, people just need to discover it on their own. It's half of the fun." I replied.

Sighing, I replied "You'd think that they'd, as children of Aphrodite, be a little more fine with that. Shouldn't kids of Aphrodite take finding love as something easier? You don't need their help." I was glad this conversation was going somewhere. "Really, it's like all they talk about. Besides Hollywood fashion disasters." I rolled my eyes, though it was something I secretly didn't mind.

I smiled, Teru was easier to talk to than my other siblings. "Good for you." I replied with a grin. "Yes, I probably should get a weapon.. but which one.." I wondered aloud.

BIC: I nodded. "A katana would probably be good for me, especially a short one. Do you think we could go get one made now? Can you get one made for free or what? Sorry, I'm just... confused. As you already know, I've never had a weapon before. Unless you count scissors to trim your hair." I said with a slight laugh, trying to not come off stupid but failing miserably.

I smiled and stood up, then took his hand. I took a step forward, but tripped over my own shoelace. Laughing and trying to hide my embarrassment (which was pretty hard), I pushed myself off the ground. "Hold on," I muttered to Teru, "Gotta tie my shoe." Quickly, I bent down and laced up my high-top black with fake splats of paint Converse, double-knotting it. Standing up, I said. "Okay, let's go. Sorry, I tend to be clumsy."

I hid a smile,I didn't find it funny just ironic as we were going to go get her a weapon and she tripped. I deffenitlly liked her shoes tough.

Brushing off my pants, I straightened up. Immediately my hand flew to my head and asked "Did that hair mess my fall up?" Awkwardly, I looked around, trying to forget I even tripped. Again, I started towards the door. "Thanks, Teru." I said, opening the door with a grin.
