Gen looked at them boredly. She was carressing her leg wound and didn't participate much in the discussion. "You guys had enouugh of the family bonding?" she asked with a smile to let them know she was kidding.

She was kind of annoyed. The Zeus kids didn't like her. Angrily, she stabbed the innocent dummy with her black sword. She sighed, closed her eyes for a second, and smiled, "That's nice!" she said, and sneezed again. Stupid cold, she thought. I'll ask an Apollo kid about this. Yawning, she said, "I better get going! I need to stop by at the infirmary to get this cold checked out. It's probably noting, though!" and then she ran off.

"Alright, Rhianna! I'll talk to you some other time!" I waved to her as she ran off. Returning my attention to the dummies, I hacked at one, and slashed at the next. I practiced a variety of sword moves until I became completly fatigue.

"Not bad," said Sam. He had been sparring for an equal amount of time, but due to his exceptional stamina hardly looked any worse for wear. Having said that, his old and tattered clothing didn't exactly make him a good-looking rich kid. "How long've you been practicing with that blade?

I walked into the arena, a practice sword in my hand. I didn't have my own sword, just a dagger. "Hi!" I greeted the people that were already there. Moving over to a group of dummies that were still whole I began to slash at them. Practice makes perfect, I thought to myself. I'd been sword fighting for a while now and I was still just average. Not that I cared. Demeter kids were peaceful, not known to be fighters.

Gen nodded and continued to look at her leg wound. It was partially healed but she still limped slightly. There were people comming from all over the place now and she was a little shy to them. Grabbing her sword, she walked out of the arena.

"About as long as I have been here," I answered Sam. "Which would be ten years, I believe." I thrusted at another dummy, and then thrusted. Satidfied with my work, I moved on to the next, leaving it in pieces in just seconds.

"Decent." Sam continued ripping dummies apart too. His unorthodox style was instantly noticeable among a group of people that held their blades in a normal grip.
Arm's back to normal. Good.

I destroyed dummies one by one. My Greek fighting style was pretty noticeable, which is like everyone else's. But I also had a mix of Roman fighting style also. That would explain why my secondary weapon is an imperial gold lance. Whatever style I'd use, I always practiced until I got it right. It was just the way I was ever since Hera killed my mom.

"You don't fight like a Greek. Not completely," Sam noticed. "Is that legion training? Somewhat rare in a Greek camp, I'd think."

I finished smashing another dummy and turned to face Sam. "Yeah, I use a mix of both. You see, I was born in Rome when Zeus met my mom, so I studied a few Roman battle strategies, and that lead me to Roman fighting style." It's not everyday you see a kid that knows both Greek and Roman fighting styles, so that's why I never really told anyone. I prefered to let them find out themselves.

Sam nodded. "Yeah. If you haven't noticed, I use neither. Taught myself the reverse sword grip, something almost never seen, and most of the things I know about fighting. Sure camp provided a few tips and refinements, but I had to be able to get along using stuff I figured out myself. Otherwise, I would not have survived the streets."

I nodded. "I use whatever I can pick up. I read a few books on medieval fighting styles, but I'd rather fight with the styles my heritage used. Including my father. And so, that's why I use both Greek and Roman." I drew my imperial gold lance from my pocket. I always had my lance in it's olive branch form when I wasn't using it, and just kept my celestial bronze sword in a sheathe.

Rhianna, after settling herself in the Hera cabin, went back to the arena. It seemed like everyone was still there, so she ran back up the them and the dummies. Slashing at one with hew black sword, she sneezed, and said, "Hey!" smiling, she added, "They should build a Hades cabin! It's so cramped in the Hera cabin!"

BIC: "Hey Rhianna," I greeted. I put my lance away and resumed my sword-fighting. "How is everything in the Hera cabin?" I asked. I sliced the head of a dummy off, and moved to the next.

She brushed her hair out of her face, and smiled at her cousin. "Hey Marie," she said. Gripping her sword, she sliced the innocent dummy's right leg off. She thought about her new cabin. It was a lot better than the Hermes cabin, that's for sure. The Hera cabin wasn't as crowded as the Hermes cabin, but it was still pretty full of kids from different minor gods. Plus, the demigods there were kind to her. In reply, she said, "It's pretty big, but there are a lot of campers in there."

"Hi," I said holding my hand out to the girl who had just walked in again, "I'm Ariane, what's your name?" While waiting for her to answer I slashed some more dummies without really looking. I gazed around the arena as I was doing so. There was straw scattered all over the floor. A lot of dummies had been killed, that was obvious.

I trudged over to another dummy and slashed. It's head came tumbling off. Then, I hacked it's arm off, followed by a thrust. I watched the dummy fall to the ground, and then moved on to the next. "Hey Ariane, how is the Demeter cabin?" I asked at complete random.

"It's fine," I smiled, "very green. How's the Zeus cabin?" I'd never been in the Zeus cabin so I was interested to know. Anyone would be.

"Oh, it's fine. Sometimes there can be arguments, but that's what siblings do," I replied. I smothered another dummy with my sword. Then, I moved to another dummy and used the Roman techniques I picked up when I was living in Rome.

I watched as Marie slashed dummies in a style I didn't recognise. That probably didn't mean much. I wasn't really into sword fighting. Sighing I went back to slashing my group of dummies. I thought about my pegasus Chestnut and the most recent flight we had done. It had been nice. Soaring over the camp was always nice.

Rhianna was sort of blanking out, slashing at all the dummies. It took her a bit to realize someone was talking to her, and she replied, "Hmm..?" then remembering what she said, she replied, "Oh! Hi, I'm Rhianna, daughter of Hades." She smiled, and slashed at a few dummies, causing their insides to litter the arena floor

"Hi." I smiled. I continued to slash dummies. Finally I could see no new ones around me. I put the practice sword back and walked back to the arena. "See ya!" I said to all the people still there.

Rhianna realized she was working too hard, and all the dummies were in pieces. She pathetically hacked at a headless dummy. Giving up, she decided to leave, "I should be going, it's getting late, and all. Bye!"
