I frowned at him, "Maybe she was tired of that stuff, plus she had 1 bottle, thats not much" I said, then I picked her up in my arms and carried her into the other room, and set her on the bed, I put the covers over her and walked back out to my seat, Aaron was staring at me, "What? I cant be a nice guy?"

I continued drinking. "This place is actually quite relaxing. Wish I had a place like this. Then I wouldn't have to go back to that god awful camp," I tell them.

"Yeah, Ill visit my Dad sometimes too" I said. Picking up my third beer.

"I think I'll take you up on that. Whats the monster activity like up here?" I ask. No monsters was boring. I couldn't let Abby have all the fun now could I?

"Well, hit us pretty well when we were getting to 12 years old here, and its a bit more now that were older, but since theres 4 of us here, we stand a good chance of seeing monsters, but ironically, they dont like the forests in Canada, lots of hunters mistaking them for deer"I said, a bit tipsy but still having the sarcastic charm as always.

I checked my watch, "Oh shit, its 11 guys, we should hit the deck until morning, so to speak" I said, "Uh, sleeping arrangements, Ill take a seat out here to watch the fire, uh, you" I said, pointing to David, "Can take the couch in the other room or stick out here, where its warmer, and you, Parker, can be the one we dare to take the other side of the bed"

"Sounds good to me. Think I'll sleep here though," I say. I gave Parker a look. "Enjoy your night Parker," I say smirking.

I tossed in the bed which was surprisingly nice after sleeping on the ground the past few days my subconscious told me that someone was entering the room and in my tired worn out voice I called "Who's there?"

I closed the door and stood up straight, "Parker" I said, kicking off my shoes, "You ok with me on the other side of the bed? Or want me to take the couch?"

"Nice one" I said to David, sipping my beer. I leaned over and took out a second stool, sliding it over to David, "Should help with sleeping"

"Yeah, uh, ok then" I said. I decided to just sleep in what I was wearing, and opened the door slightly, "Couch will be open if either of you bail" I said, then I went and got under the covers and rolled over to my side, trying to sleep.

"Sleep Well" I murmured and yawned, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep for a bit so I stared at the ceiling and just thought about my life, "Do you think a monster will attack in the night or more likely in the day?" I asked unsure of what to expect,

"Nah, they usually come out in the sunlight, because they dont like the snow at night, it messes with vision or something, plus the door is locked" I said, putting an arm under my pillow, "Oh and uh, its like 11 something at night"

I laughed, "Yeah yeah yeah, were four powerful demigods, and two of us can shadow travel, how much danger can we be in?" I said, rolling over to face Abby.

I rolled my eyes at the question, "Uh, like a house" I said, "Uhhh, let me think", "Its small, one story, with a basement though, its got a brownstone finish, like, the outside". I scratched my chin, "We could probably see it tomorrow"

"Oh, uh, its just my Dad, but uh hes pretty cool with demigods and stuff, he met Aaron, so as long as you dont kill anyone or stuff like that". I stretched my legs under the blanket, "But it sorta depends on if you'd even want to meet him"

I dreamt of meeting Parker's Dad "I don't think I'd intentionally kill anyone.." I finally said "At least not unless they turned into a monster, I wish you could see my home. It's crap but it's still home."

I smiled and closed my eyes, thinking about tomorrow, Abby, my dad, and a few other things, until I drifted off to sleep.
