Sam walked into the club, dressed in a long, beaten-up trench coat over a black T-shirt and tattered jeans. His left arm remained slightly injured from an axe wound sustained during the camp's previous battle. Even so, Sam could still take out several average guys in hand-to-hand if things came to that. Plus, his trench coat served to hide a pair of pistols (loaded with bronze so they couldn't hurt mortals though) and his disguised sword. In crowbar form, the sword could be used as such and would give mortals and demigods alike a good concussion.
Maybe it will come to a fight, he thought, taking a seat and glancing at all the wild dancing, drinking and puking. What a place. I can't believe I was bored enough to come here.

Sam snorted. Drink away your sorrows? Please. I've been separated from my mom, forced to learn the ropes on my own, and spent more than a year hitchhiking across America. All the while I've escaped from monsters and gangs. And yet I still don't need alcohol.

Sam glared at the girl, and his dark brown eyes were more intimidating than most. "Get out of my head. This country has privacy laws, and you ought to respect them. Candybutt is hardly a real insult, and if you wanna prove you're not all 'skip to your lou', you should stop drinking yourself under the table. Just a thought."

"See, there," Sam said. "You put the alcohol down. That's a start. Try expanding on it. Get up, dance, start a conversation, or even leave. Just don't make an ass out of yourself by puking on the floor."

"Your call, your reputation," Sam responded. He folded his arms and scanned the club's patrons. There were a lot of people like this girl, drinking their hearts out. A few were close to passing out. The dance floor was a jungle of bodies in the centre surrounded by scattered couples around the edges. Techno boomed through the whole place.

Sam turned and cocked an eyebrow at Ellen. Why the hell would I buy you dinner? We're not dating. I am not interested in dating you or anyone else. he thought back.

Excessive drinking is not healthy, Sam responded. Lying on the ground unconscious from alcohol poisoning is flat out disgraceful. If you passed out and vomited on the floor, that would make a mess I don't want to deal with. I don't know what's happened in your life, but life isn't fair. You need to suck it up for your own sake.

"A Hades child got laid before you. That's it? God, people's priorities are screwed up these days," Sam said, shaking his head. "Here I was thinking someone died, but...seriously? Get over it."

I walked into the club, walking my way through the crowd, enjoying myself and everything. Then I noticed this girl ordering shots which got my attention immediately. "I take a shot too" I told the bartender. "We haven't met, haven't we? What's your name hun?" I whispered in her ear because of the loud music.

"None of your buissiness" i tell him getting up "I'm done with you guys" I clap my hands and vanish.

I tap the guy on the shoulder "Her Name's Ellen." I told the guy through my heavy Irish accent "And I think since she left that I might like those shots"

"Wow that isn't a reaction I usually get from girls. Anyway, and you are sweetheart?" I asked her as she drank a shot.

"Vic Wolfson, just call me Vic, son of Aphrodite as you might have guessed already." I winked at her. "Doesn't your mom live in the Underworld with Hades? Poor her. Anyway, I love your accent, sounds like you are a mate from Europe. Don't I love you already" I smiled at her.
"Hey Bartender, another round for my beautiful girl here and me."

"I don't really know hun, I have never kissed a Aphrodite-guy, but there is a way to find out. I said as I held her chin up gently. I noticed my half-brother Michael sitting down at the bar, but I just had eyes for this girl.
