I walked on the bay of the lake. Nothing big had happened lately and I think I'm going crazy. I mean I talked to a tree. A tree! This boredum was getting to me.

His voice trailed off as he finished the sentence, signifying a sort of bashfulness on his part, yet there was a glint in his eyes that didn't seem to fit with the tone of voice. It was almost as though the boy was much bolder than he let on.
