I laughed. " Ok, ok you win this round." I say putting up my hands in a surrendering gesture, shaking my head while giggling.

"If only the gods resolved their conflict like this." I said, shaking my head with her and laughing as well. "Well, they enjoy being difficult. Do you have any other pets?" I asked (randomly), petting Jake again.

"Yeah, mostly dogs though I have let's.... oh around 11 dogs including jake, three cats and one mole. Pluse my grandpa might get me two horses for christmas this year." I said.

Making an "O" shape with my mouth, my eyes widened considerably. "Fifteen pets? That's crazy. I grew up on a farm but I didn't really consider any of the animals as pets. Do you remember all their names?" I asked, laughing.

"Ah! So you do forget!" I said triumphantly, pumping my fist in the air and grinning. "You like dogs, huh? Twelve of them, seems like they might be kind of uncontrollable at times."

"Oh no. You see only Jake and my other dog buddy live with well they are the only dogs that live with me my 3 cats and mole also live with me. The rest live with my grandpa." I said. Dang this is nice to just talk normaly for a change.

"Oh, what?" I asked, laughing. "Well, it must be nice having two homes. Or three actually. I only have two, but I love them both." I said, twiddling my thumbs and looking up at the sky momentarily before looking back down and smiling.

"Makes sense, your dad being Pan and all. You'd think that gardening would be some sort of soothing practise for me but it seems like I'm the oddball of the Demeter bunch, I'd much rather be out experiencing life rather than making life for others. I guess I'm kind of selfish like that." I said, mussing my hair and frowning ever so slightly.

I shake my head. "You're not selfish Felix. You're just branching out and no pun intened." I said lokking him square the eyes.

Laughing, I grinned at her and patted her on the shoulder. "Thanks for that." But you don't really know me. I thought, keeping up the smile but pretty uneasy inwardly. "It's a funny unintended pun anyhow." I said, scratching my neck.

Smiling, I glanced at my watch and panicked slightly for a moment. "Totally slipped my mind that I had to be somewhere right now. It was nice officially meeting you, Corie. I hope to see you around." I said, waving before jogging off.
