Not Doing Anything Suspicious

Crack. Crack. Snap. Next thing I knew, I landed on my sorry butt. "See? I'm amazing at glamorous entrances. The branch just couldn't handle my intensity." I stomped over to Ace; the sand muffling the sound of my black leather boots. "You look pretty hot wearing those. Either it's your personal charm or because they're my glasses. The latter seems more acceptable." I winked before sliding the shades off his face. "So, what have you been up to? Breaking girls' hearts?" Putting some emphasis on the last part, I pointed to a couple of Aphrodite girls who glanced a look at Ace before hurriedly jumping into the ocean.

"Chicks don't seem to like me, man. I'm not even sure why. I've got so much natural charisma." I said, grinning before looking at the other guys. Alright, he asked for it, so I would give it to him. Taking the sunglasses from Ronnie's hands, I prepared for a throw before flinging the shades at the guy. Then I caught sight of the flames in the hair of the other guy and I stepped back in awe.

"Hey man." I said, eyes widening as I took in the fire. "Your hair is kinda..." I made these sort of 'woah' and fiery gestures around my own hair.

I start laughing, "Dude, what the heck is this?" I ask, imitating his crazy gesture things, "Did you forget your brush or something?" I walk closer, "So, how about them shades?"

"Well, I don't know how to describe it! Is that even real fire or do you use some funky type of hair mousse?" I asked the fiery hair guy, nudging Ronnie in a 'do you see that?' type of way. "Buddy, I just flicked the shades at you. You mean you didn't catch them?"

"Hey guys. Glad you like it." I chuckled softly at the crazy gestures. I imitated them, only to have blue flames dance on my finger tips in the process. A wide smile spread across my face as I heard the guess about the hair mousse.

"Ah, no." I laughed aloud. "Just something I inherited from my father, a while back." Remembering all those years, some of which where I almost burned down a couple buildings... good times.

"Anyway," I began, drawing attention away from the dancing fire (and letting them subside so they weren't such a big thing) "I saw those shades. Pretty cool man. Mind if I try 'em?" I smiled warmly, my liquid brown eyes shining.

"Dude. Did you just lose my shades?" I asked the new guy, only partially attentive. I was busy being in awe of some other guy's hair. It was so tempting to just cut it off and sprinkle the bits all over my head. That would look weird though. With that, I made a mental note to ask him about his mousse then flipped my dirty blonde waves; making a scene that sort of said 'Hey, I have hair too.'

"Don't worry, Ron, I'll buy you some more." I said because it was partially my fault, flapping my hand at her to say 'no worries' before grinning some more. "The sunglasses are pretty popular. You could probably try 'em on - if bucko over here actually caught them." I said, pointing at the guy I had chucked the shades at earlier.

I look around, confused, then smile, "Oh" I say loudly, I keep walking about 10 feet, then lean over and pick up a pair of shades, "you missed", I put them on and hold my arms out, "Do I look awesome or what? Of course I do" I keep walking until I'm right beside them, "Whoa, that is freaky" staring at the hair, so, Im guessing your all best buds, and the fireman is the newcomer that is gonna scare you all"

I simply couldn't resist a good laugh at this one.
"Nice, err... hair, you got there." I nodded amusingly at his dirty blonde waves. "And I wouldn't recommend touching my hair... just in case I flame up again." I chuckled as I ended the sentence.

I thought it was pretty funny how these guys just kept commenting on my hair. I waved my hand ever so slightly and the flames diminished.

~Cracked me up at the "Hey, I have hair too." joke.

I elbowed Ace on the ribs, playfully of course. Wouldn't want to hurt a future Hollywood star now, would we? "It's okay. I look awesome with or without glasses anyway." Ah, do you sense the sarcasm? Chuckling, I gave them all a small grin. Strange. I feel so happy today for some reason. "I'm Ronnie. Pleasure to meet you all."

I look around and whistle, then stop at the girl's comment, "If only I could say the same" I mutter quietly, thought nobody heard it, "You guys should all lighten up, I have the shades" I say, spinning them around my finger.

This was about the fifth time I had introduced myself today. I guess I was making some progress socially. That's cool. "Name's Ace." I said tersely, watching as the guy twirled the sunglasses.

I quickly dash closer to Kris, hooking the shades on my wrist, and back to my original spot. I tried them on for size.
"How do I look?" I asked, imploringly. "Good enough to be in the Aphrodite cabin?" I laughed lightly. Small bursts of blue flame licked at my hair. I wondered how that looked.

I smile and grab the shades away, then back away quickly, "No stealing the shades" I say, "And yeah, sure you did". I look at the girl, "These yours? Want em back?" I hold them out to her, but they are still to far away, so I walk closer so Im pushing the shades against her, then pull my hand away, the shades flying out of my hand and into the lake, "Oh gods, sorry about that" he kicked at the sand, knocking some onto the fire guy's shoes, "want me to go get them?"

The sand which hit my shoe automatically caught fire. I laughed aloud, and groaned, nodding towards Kris. "Now I have even more work back at the cabin. First, chores, and second, get this freaking soot off of my shoes." I chuckled good heartedly. I pointed at my shoes and whispered "μειώνει (diminish)" and the white flames turned to ash.

I watched as my glasses flew off into the abyss of the lake. Those were really special to me, they were from my dad; the last gift he gave before I entered camp. Now they were swimming with the fish. Oh joy. I massaged my temples, fighting back a bunch of unnecessary words. Somehow, I knew I wanted to say something but they were left hanging. My green eyes caught Ace's, expressing small portions of disbelief and anger which were not directed to him. Rather, they were saying 'Gods, do you seriously think my glasses could survive a fall like that?'

Though I honestly have no idea how, I realized how much those shades meant to Ronnie.
"Uh, one second." I reached inside my hood and brought out Spark. I told him to go and grab the shades that were floating off into the ocean, and he responded with a feeble cough of orange flames. "Good boy." I chuckled softly.

The mini-dragon flitted off to grab the shades, and being careful not to burn them. He brought them back to me and laid them in the palm of my hand (which fortunately, I willed not to start burning randomly.)

"Here you go Ronnie." I said, tossing the shades towards her.

"Thanks." I caught them with a swipe of my right hand, though still careful not to damage them anymore than they already are. I'd be lying if I said they were in pristine condition, and I would be too modest if I said that they were okay. Because, in truth, they were definitely not okay. Both lenses bore cracks; which were assumably caused by the impact. I let out a half hearted sigh then tucked the broken accessory into my black sling bag.

Seeing Ronnie's face when those glasses hit the water, I couldn't help but want to punch this guy. "That was obviously intentional and also unnecessarily rude. Apologize and then get out of here." I said in a monotone, crossing my arms because it had become a habit now. Man, I was such a hypocrite. I had totally been a total jerk to that chick earlier but then again, she was being annoying and Ronnie had done nothing wrong.

I placed a hand on Ace's shoulder. "It's fine, there's nothing I can't do, remember?" My voice sounded surprisingly strong and reassuring. Actually, there's nothing exceptional about that. Even when I'm down in the dumps, my voice never changes. Oh my, I feel so blessed (do you sense the sarcasm yet?).
"Besides, I plan to sneak out and do more shopping anyway." I waved my hand dismissively then nudged Ace on the ribs. "We can go blind more people with our awesomeness."

I nodded towards Ace in agreement, my liquid brown eyes blazing with light.

"You guys want to head in the water for a swim?" I suggested. "Just to occupy our minds for a bit."

"Oh, and Ronnie," I added, smiling slightly. I lightly took the shades from her and engulfed my hand in white hot flames. With a quick touch, the shades were good as new; the fire diminishing the cracks. "If you need any more work done on 'em, just give me a call at the Hephaestus cabin." I said, nodding towards the camp.

~Gotta love those liquid eyes. xD

Walking past this random group of people on the beach, I stopped when I saw the eyes of this one guy and was all like, "Whoa!" Blinking, I smiled before spurting out something before I even thought about it. "Is your last name 'Cullen?'" I asked the liquid eye guy before stopping again and then laughing at the absurdity of the question.

I started cracking up. "Don't even get me started on those guys, they never even invited me for dinner! It was quite upsetting." I chuckled, smiling broadly.

"Yeah, uh no." I laughed gently again, nodding towards Melinda. Small white flames danced across my hair as I laughed.

I look over at the guy, "Someone woke on the wrong side of the bed eh?", I slipped my fingers into the water unnoticed and then got up to him, as I had sat down, "I had wet hands", pointing them out, "Probably slipped out of my reach, plus, his thing got 'em back, so no biggie", I wiped my hands on my shirt to prove a point and then added, "Why would I throw her shades into the water purposely anyway? They were awesome"

"Ha, Superstar here got ignored. Maybe you should consider wearing vampire contacts?" I chortled, poking Ace on the stomach. Face it, he got owned by some guy with liquid-y eyes. "Or, we could decorate your head with little glittery fireballs.." Tapping my chin, I watched as the new girl examined Sir Vampire. She was really, really pretty; no doubt about that. The type of pretty that got me conscious of my appearance. Well, whatever. You can't have everything. Shaking the thought away, I flipped my hair- for like the thousandth time.
