Subject: Is it a date? [Private] Sat Aug 07, 2010 1:30 am

I looked at myself in the mirror, which wasn't something I usually did. My red hair was straightened and I wore my dangly silver earrings. I ran my hands I over my dress. It was a simple black dress that tied in at the waist with a white band and reached to a bit above the knee. I put on my favorite choker necklace. It was a Victorian-style necklace with black chain and many hanging, white stones. I grabbed my worn, bottomless black bag. Although it wasn't exactly fancy, I always had it with me. I sighed, giving an approving nod to my appearance. I slipped my feet I to my silver heels and walked to the Hera cabin to find Wesley so we could go to New York to see the Broadway Production of 'The Sound of Music'. Xanthus flew overhead and I sighed. 'You now he's afraid of birds. Besides..you can't come with me anyway. You have to stay here. I'll call if I need you,' isay telepathically. He gave a begrudged squawk, but I obeyed. I knocked on the door to the cabin, poking my head in. "Wesley?" I called hopefully.

I woke up from my nap and checked my clock. "Oh brillant." It was time for our date. "Just a second." I checked my hair which was fine and ran to my dresser to scrounge for a pair of clean slacks. I found and pair and basically ripped off my jeans. I tried to put on my slacks as fast as possible but tripped and fell with one leg in and one out. I managed to spritz a little axe on. I looked in the mirror and my cheeks were still a bit rosy and my hair stuck up a bit, but I looked fine. Walking to the door I managed to stumble over a sheild and open the door still sprawled on the floor. "Hey." I mumbled picking myself up.

I stifled a laugh, biting my lip as I smiled. "You just woke up, didn't you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. My expression showed my obvious enjoyment of this as I stood there, leaning against the doorway.

"Yeah..." I looked up at her and my mouth dropped open. "Whoa. You look brillant." I breathed.

I smiled proudly, glancing down at my dress. I hadn't worn a dress and heels in a while, so this was different for me. I turned my stormy blue eyes to him, my cheeks were lightly flushed. "Thank you," I said. "Ready to go?" I asked hopefully.

"Yeah." I stood up and grabbed my keys off my bed. "We'll take my car."

I grinned, nodding my head. "Good, cause I don't have a car," I responded. I started towards the border, glancing around to see if anyone was looking. I wasn't sure if any of my siblings would be too happy to find out I was sneaking out. I then stopped and turned to Wesley. "Just to warn you...people in this play know who I am. Cause...um...my mother is the lead, Maria. So..." my voice trailed off as I rubbed the back of my neck. No one here knew my mom was the lead in Broadway musicals, it wasn't exactly something I told a lot of people.

I laughed lightly, rolling my eyes. My hands were still cut up from earlier, when I had grabbed the coral. I followed Wesley with my bag slung on my shoulder. "What kind of car do you have?" I asked curiously. For some reason...I was nervous, really nervous. Why? I'm not entirely sure.

"Mustang." I said hitting the button as soon as we stood in front of my baby girl.

I ran my hand gently along the black finish. I eyed the car curiously, turning to him with an intrigued look. "How many cylinders is your engine?" I asked with a grin. I wasn't a normal girl, incase it was hard to tell. Cars, musicals, rock music...I did it all I suppose.

I nodded my head slowly. "Most Ford Mustangs have a V6 engine..." I said simply. I grinned, opening the car door. "Well let's go! I wanna see how much torque this has," I said as I hopped inside.

I shook my head sadly. "I can't drive yet," I answered. I mean...I knew how to drive. I just wasn't yet old enough.

I grinned, shaking my head. "I usually wait till the second date before doing anything illegal," I explained, my voice was dripping with sarcasm.

I grinned, raising an amused eyebrow. "And what illegal act do you intend to commit?" I asked curiously.

I nodded my head slowly. "Well, first we can rob a bank, then we can shoot someone, we can trespass and vandalize at the same time...let's see...after that we could not pay taxes, and then we can finih the evening I can drive us back to camp," I joked with a wide grin.

I raised an eyebrow. "Do you not speak sarcasm? Cause I thought I was perfectly clear," I retorted, laughing lightly.

"Nope. I speak English." I laughed revving the engine and reaching for my aviators on the dash.

I stared at him with a grin on my face. "You have aviators? And you're seriously going to wear them at night?" I mocked, stifling a giggle.
