*rielle adina winters
HADES | SIXTEEN
name. rielle adina winters.
age. sixteen.
gender. female.
birthday. may 28th.
godly parent. hades.
claimed. yes. The very same day she arrived at camp, the symbol of Hades appeared above her head, marking her time as an isolated camper not a lot of people would try to make friends with. Strangely, she was completely okay with this.

*under my skin

Mortal Family:
STEVEN WINTERS. A professor at New York University, Steven Winters has always been a smart and logical man. While he doesn’t believe in the supernatural, he does know that there is something… off with Rielle. Perhaps it’s the way she prefers isolation, unlike other teens her age. Perhaps it’s how she used to scream about the voices she kept hearing when she was five.

WILHELMINA WINTERS. A stay-at-home mother, Wilhelmina Winters is a highly outgoing woman, present in almost every social event. One would wonder how Rielle, with a mother like Wilhelmina, never grew to be friendlier than she is.

ELLISA WINTERS. Three years younger than Rielle, Ellisa was a bubbly little thing doted on by both parents.

Years in Camp:
Three.

History:
The circumstances of Rielle’s birth were normal… unless you count the switch no one knew about. The 28th of May, 1954 was marked by a woman carted off to the birthing room. She was eccentric, to say the least. She kept screaming of ghosts and demons, and nurses had to work hard to keep her restrained. Unfortunately, giving birth seemed much too stressful for the poor soul, and death came for her as soon as the healthy little baby took its first breath of life. No one came - no husband, no relatives, no one seemed to care for the woman who lost her life, much less for the unnamed baby crying for comfort. Then the next few events were a blur, it seemed as though the baby itself had given up, lost without a mother. But little did the mortals know about the god who visited like a thief in the night, or about the ever elusive Mist that led them to believe anything but the truth. It was at the Lotus Casino that the god brought his crying child, and it was there that he left her until the time is right.

Fast forward a few decades, when Wilhelmina Winters was rushed to another hospital, ready to give birth. With her husband Steven's support, the childbirth went smoothly, and soon the little baby was left in the nursery.

But that baby never lived to see the end of the day. And no one knew except for a certain god, a god who made a quick trip to the Lotus Casino and the hospital, a god who ironically gave the Winters life instead of death. The Mist did its work well enough, and the family never mourned the daughter they lost for they happily took in the child they never thought wasn't theirs.

Fast forward three years later. Rielle Winters grew to be an unusually quiet girl. What bothered both parents was that she didn’t look much like them – her black hair, for instance, was a sore thumb. Her features were different too – her squinty eyes were soulless, almost hollow, deep pits of black, and her nose was not as hawk-like as her father’s or as button-like as her mother’s. Those were only the tip of the iceberg, and the differences became more pronounced when Ellisa Winters was born. As years went by, Ellisa looked more like her parents, and Rielle less like them.

Rielle’s growing years were dotted by strange happenings. There were times when Steven found her crying about baby cries echoing in the halls, or a floating lady standing by the door of her room. Wilhelmina had to hold Rielle in her arms more times than she can count, until the latter stopped screaming about the raspy voices from the walls of their house.

Rielle was ten when the premonition happened. Her sister was bound for a school field trip, joined by her mother. Rielle was so adamant about it, she threw tantrums in the kitchen and pleaded that them not to go. It was all dismissed as child’s play what she did, but a few hours later, the bus carrying both mother and daughter sailed right off the bridge and into the sea. They never found the bodies. Rielle almost went mad – she claimed seeing Wilhelmina and Ellisa everywhere.

School wasn’t any better. Already taunted with adoption rumors, Rielle was a withdrawn girl who did so-so in class. Bullied and friendless, Rielle turned to the only ones who talked to her – imaginary friends to others, invisible to all but herself. It was only when Rielle grew older that she realized just what her ‘friends’ were.

Rielle went to camp when she was thirteen. She was on her way home when a ghost came for her, following her real father’s orders. The hazy figure led her to Delphi Strawberry Service. It was there that she learned about the Mist, that the Strawberry Service was more than what meets the eyes, and that she had never been Steven Winters’ daughter all this time.

Appearance:
PLAYED BY: Arden Cho

Short, pale and skinny - not exactly the recipe for popularity, but not unforgettable either. Rielle is known for her unending poker face that could intensify any initial awkwardness anyone would feel upon meeting her. Her hair is dark and long, falling in waves past her shoulders. Her squinty eyes, so dark they look black and seemingly hollow of emotions, can hold anyone in an unnerving stare. With her quiet persona and her small stature, she can come off as someone you shouldn't bother with - an image she seems to enforce as she hardly ever smiles.

lmao it's really short gomen

Personality:
Quiet. Distant. Weird. Not many would describe Rielle with positive words. It's not like she doesn't try to be positive - the whole dark aura came with the child-of-Hades package, apparently. Not to mention that she spends a little more time talking to the dead than the living (who can blame her though, with how few people give a damn about her existence).

Rielle does try to be a little more sociable, but emotions do not exactly come easily to her. One thing she lacks is tact. She can often forget that most would get unnerved with the concept of ghosts, and the things she says might creep said people out. Another is that she seems to have no filter - she can be frank, she can offend others without knowing it. Not everyone can appreciate her honesty, especially if it's a little too much. And truth be told, insecurities have already started to fill Rielle, and she is running out of reasons to brush them off.

As a result, she doesn't have a lot of friends - living friends - but oh how she wants to have some! It doesn't help that she has a mean temper and absolutely zero patience. While she isn't exactly shy, Rielle often says things that are on her mind, and when she isn't comfortable with anyone, she will freely tell them to back off. The walls around her are getting tougher to break when no one seems to even want to break them.

Fatal Flaw:
Independence. Rielle has spent so much time alone that she is beginning to think that she can do anything by herself.

Talents:
SIXTH SENSE. Rielle could see ghosts, and feel if there was any nearby. Sometimes they can communicate for short periods of time. She cannot control them in any way – they’re just dead people who haven’t yet crossed to the other side.

DEATH FEELING IDK. Rielle has never been to the Underworld, but she feels a connection to it. To death, mostly. She can feel it when someone she knows is close to death, like a cold chill washing from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. When they die, she could tell if they ended up in heaven (Elysium), hell (Fields of Punishment) or the purgatory (Fields of Asphodel). An instinct, you might say. She just knows.

GEOKINESIS + NECROMANCY. At best, she can open up the ground as a one-way portal from the Underworld, letting deceased corpses enter the world of the living. Chosen at random from all the dead since the start of time, said corpses have no memory of their past lives. She can summon five at maximum and her control on them is shaky—especially since she had just used a ton of her energy to create a fissure. They are supposed to do her bidding. All they mostly do is walk around aimlessly as she passes out from extreme fatigue. It’s a pretty useless talent at this point in time. It could get handy if she builds up her stamina and actually concentrate but… lol she ain’t got time for that.

Weapon:
A Stygian iron scythe. It adds to the mystery and intimidation factor. Think of her as the Grim Reaper reincarnated, a hood over her head and a swishing cloak around her body, scythe in hand to end your misery. While she often lacks the hood and the cloak, the scythe alone would be enough to send the weak-hearted fleeing for their puny little lives.

Pets:
None. A dog would be nice though.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-round.

Other:
I started writing her bio back in 2014 actually. Just randomly found her while looking through my old files.

HEPHAESTUS | EIGHTEEN
name. jim isaac nichols.
age. eighteen.
gender. male.
birthday. november 26th.
godly parent. hephaestus.
claimed. yes.

*under my skin

Mortal Family:
ELEANOR NICHOLS. The mother he never knew and never loved.

WILLIAM NICHOLS. The grandfather who poured blood, sweat and tears to bring up this poor orphaned soul.

Years in Camp:
Two.

History:
Eighteen years ago, Eleanor Nichols was one of the most beautiful girls in one of Kansas' small towns. She'd been in the running for valedictorian, was the president of her high school's Electronics Club, with numerous awards from writing contests and science fairs. Unfortunately, she didn't have the best attitude. She was selfish, ambitious and overly competitive. Yet, she was the last girl anyone would ever expect to get knocked up at seventeen years old. But that's exactly what happened.

It was a scandal. A scandal that Eleanor Nichols, who had a promising career before her, didn't take well to. She just had to get drunk that one fateful night, hadn't she?

Anyways, the sharp turn her life took, with all the negativity pouring from all around, did things to her head. As in, it knocked off a couple of screws up there. There could be no other explanation why she tried to strangle her newborn baby boy to death when he took his first breath of life.

Yup, Eleanor Nichols went psycho. And not long after her baby's birth, she was found dead, her pale hands still holding the knife that struck her still heart.

Her father William Nichols took his grandson under his wing, naming him Jim Isaac. He vowed that he would raise him better than he did Eleanor. And he did.

It was a fresh start. William took Isaac to another town. With all the money he saved up, he bought a farm and made more. There Isaac grew up with only his grandfather, and with no recollection of his deranged mother other than the fact that she had already died.

Ever since he was little, Isaac would always help out in the farm. He would plow and plant crops under the harsh sun, and harvest them when the right season came. When he was older, he drove the tractor. He even fixed it when something went wrong.

That was one thing William especially took notice of in the young boy. He had a knack for machinery. He originally assumed that he took after Eleanor, who was a technology whiz, but he proved to be better. Some nights William would just stumble upon the boy in the basement, tinkering with chips and parts of broken appliances. It surprised him the most when at thirteen years old, Isaac managed to put together scraps of the broken electric fan he picked up in a junkyard and turn it into a working model that could run on electricity, rechargeable batteries and solar energy. Until that point, that electric fan was the only invention Isaac ever completed. The rest of his works remained to be defective prototypes and works-in-progress, sadly enough.

When Isaac was sixteen, he found newspaper clippings buried deep in his grandfather's room. They were about Eleanor Nichols. Little by little, Isaac found out what happened to his mother, and what she tried to do to him. Needless to say, he wasn't pleased.

William had told him that his mother died giving birth to him. He said that she loved him so much. But what kind of mother would try to kill her own son?

Isaac had always loathed liars. Finding out that his own grandpa lied to him was very disheartening.

But it was not nearly as bad as when a hellhound broke into his home, killing William Nichols.

Isaac managed to hold the giant dog off with a crowbar, buying just enough time for a watching satyr to intervene and strangle the monster with overgrown crops. Lost and broken, Isaac packed his bags and left with the satyr before the cops could come.

He'd been in Camp Half Blood since.

Appearance:
PLAYED BY: Sam Claflin

Isaac is heavily-built like most of his siblings. He stands at roughly six feet, with curly brown locks that fall in waves above his green eyes. One thing people notice about him is how he always seems to look so calculating. One look at his indifferent face and slight frown could tell you that this is a guy in deep thought. He usually is.

He looks old for his age. He has a bit of stubble around his chin and he is a bit on the hairy side, especially on his chest and legs. Isaac doesn't really mind though. It's part of growing up, chest hair. And it makes him feel manly.

Isaac is a bit of a cheapskate, and most of the clothes he has are ones he has had for years. It's not unusual for him to be spotted in ripped shirt or jeans. He doesn't really care about clothing. He doesn't care about fashion, or that a red shirt clashes horribly with green shorts. As long as it's wearable, he'll go with it. Even if it's a tank top he's had for two years and hugs his muscly figure so tightly that it kind of hurts. Not like he has a lot wardrobe choices.

Personality:
At first glance, you'd think that Isaac was the type of guy who'd be pretty much all over the place. The more you get to know him, the more you'd realize that it's true.

Isaac is, in more ways than one, a mess. Have you seen the state of his room? No? Picture a town run over by a hurricane. Isaac's room is basically that - on a smaller scale of course. Books and blueprints strewn across the bed and the floor, prototypes scattered on his desk, his clothes rumpled and squished inside the cramped space of his closet (and in other times, on the floor). It just shows how disorganized Isaac is, and this doesn't only extend to his things. His thoughts are often disjointed, and sometimes his sentences trail off unfinished. It's like he doesn't know how to get his act together. He'd scramble from one place to the next, jumping from one project to another, ultimately ending up in the middle of things and not completing a single one. He just crams so freaking much. He's a little forgetful as well, and couple that with his disorganization and, well, it's not exactly an orderly sight.

Knowing all that, you'd guess that he screws up a lot. Right again.

Isaac never does one thing too long. He gets impatient, and then he'll rush it all up... leading to some disastrous consequences. He just doesn't know how to take his time and ends up speeding all over the place. Life is too short, he'd say. There are so many things he needs to do before it ends, he'd add. But then he starts everything, either loses his temper over how long it's taking or forgets it altogether, and in the end he'd be staring at his unfinished business thinking, 'what the hell am I doing?' And so he'd chuck it somewhere in his room, and Isaac almost never bothers to throw it away for good.

That's one trait he always had: sentimentality. It's easy for him to get attached to things and once he is, it's extremely difficult to let go. It's why his room is full of things others would think as trash. One day Isaac would just randomly pick one of his old things up and reminisce. He feels that if he got rid of something, he would forget all the memories attached to it. And that's one thing he really hates about himself - how he easily forgets.

It's a little ironic actually. He can quickly forget the good things, but do him something bad and it's forever etched in his mind.

Despite how Isaac gets attached to things so easily, he actually finds it a little harder to become close to people. Years ago, when he was still very young, he quickly trusted. But that naivety shattered like glass, and the resentment bubbled up. Now he's more cautious, knowing that not all people can be trusted, or deserve to be. But when someone finally earns his trust, Isaac will give himself wholly and without reservation. And if he happens to lose that person, or if that person breaks his trust, there are no limitations to what Isaac can do. He will abandon all sense of morality. At that moment, he will not be afraid to kill.

In spite of all his flaws though, Isaac isn't a bad person. Well, not that bad of a person. He's not the type to go around introducing himself to a crowd, but he won't hesitate to return a smile or a friendly hello. Sure, he's skeptical of people at first, but he gives everyone a chance. He's quite the big softie actually. Isaac wouldn't hurt a fly - unless that fly did him something unforgivable (highly unlikely, but let's assume). Then he would get revenge.

Fatal Flaw:
Impatience. Isaac doesn't want to spend time waiting. He won't wait for anyone or anything, and he just rashly decides to take things in his own hands without regard for the consequences.

Talents:
CREATIVITY. If you ask Isaac, he'll tell you it's his talent. He doesn't usually stick to the guidelines and do things the normal way. He thinks outside the box. He comes up with ways to make his job easier. He innovates.

TECHNOKINESIS. No, he doesn't move computers with his mind. But Isaac has a knack for making and fixing things - weapons, nifty gadgets, etc. Just a Hephaestus perk. But no, don't expect him to make a fully-functional chopper on his own. He's not that good.

COMBAT SKILLS. Due to all the hammering and the forging in the Armory plus all his experience in the farm, Isaac has put on a considerable amount of muscle. He's strong. He throws some mean punches, and he swings his sword so hard that when he starts fighting, I'd suggest that you put a lot of distance between him and yourself. You don't want to be in the wrong end of his blade. Trust me.

Weapon:
Isaac's sword is about three-and-a-half feet long, crafted from celestial bronze. At first you'd think that it's just one of your ordinary swords. But Isaac had installed a special feature. If he presses a carefully concealed button right around the hilt, the blade will spin hard and fast like a Beyblade.

Don't worry. The spinning thing is purely reserved for emergencies, like for monsters, etc. Although, it's one reason not to get him mad, right?

Pets:
Doesn't have one. Isaac isn't a big fan of animals.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-round.

Other:
Finnick Odair tho

*robin adrianne hayes
TYCHE | SIXTEEN
name. robin adrianne hayes
age. sixteen.
gender. female.
birthday. august 21st.
godly parent. tyche.
claimed. yes.

*under my skin

Mortal Family:
RICHARD HAYES.
"My dad's pretty cool. Mostly he let me do what I wanted... unless it involved boys. That's when he gets out the air rifle he keeps in the basement. Ha, anyways, what's there to say? I love him. I couldn't have asked for a better dad."
Richard Hayes was still not over the untimely death of his wife Jennifer when he met Tyche. Becoming a single father of two-year-old twins, he could barely hold himself together and potty-train his children at the same time. Even though he already took some time off the law firm which he helped found, it still wasn't enough. But Richard was always the hardworking family man and he persevered, and as time passed things began to settle down into a calm. Still, he never really thought of finding a stepmom to his growing children, until he met Tyche.

ANALYN HAYES.
"She's a bit of a bish, to be completely honest. An insanely smart bish. She and I never really got on well, although we can now stand within three yards of the other without attempting murder! Just kidding. Half-kidding."
The older of the Robin's twin siblings. Three years her senior, Analyn was generally nice if her half-sister wasn't around. Robin often called her a nerd due to her acing her classes easily and topping most of them. Analyn disliked Robin's attitude, Robin's guts, Robin's tastes... pretty much anything Robin-ish. You could say that she's still mad that her dad slept with another woman after their late mother, but she couldn't really take it out on him so she settled with the offspring instead.

ALDRIN HAYES.
"He's alright. Al likes to keep to himself a lot, but we're not at war for one. He is probably the most level-headed person in the house! He's there when you need someone to talk, or rant to, or pour out your inner loathing towards the other girl in the family... He's a good bro."
Analyn's twin ended up being closer to Robin. Unlike his twin, Aldrin doesn't care that she's only his half-sister. To him, family was family. Robin looked up to him a lot growing up and next to their father, he is the one she holds the most respect for. She is fiercely protective of him, to the point of stalking the girl he dates to make sure that her big bro won't get hurt. Besides, Aldrin once threatened (in a not-so-joking manner) the boy Robin asked to a Sadie Hawkins Dance so Robin just wants to even the score.

Years in Camp:
One.

History:
Growing up had always been normal for Robin. She loved her family - well, mostly her father and brother (Analyn can go to hell, she keeps saying). Robin had problems with school, as with any other demigod, but she pulled through. Her first fifteen years of life consisted of surviving Analyn's taunts and glares, idolizing her half-brother Aldrin, and being a daddy's girl.

But, just as Robin was nearing her sixteenth birthday, Richard Hayes disappeared.

One night was all it took. The kind father bid his kids goodbye, with the promise of pizza when he returned. They never knew it was the last time they would ever see him.

Analyn Hayes, the brainiac who brought home straight A's, woke up first the next day. She opened the fridge, disappointed to see that it was pizza-less. She knocked on her father's door and soon enough, threw it open for the lack of response, only to find a bed that hadn't been slept in.

Aldrin Hayes, the techie who played League of Legends until the ungodly hours of the morning, was the next one to wake. His sister barged in, frantic, panicky, and shook him to consciousness. Aldrin punched his father's number into his phone, but he was only met with unanswered rings.

The last to wake was Robin Hayes, the spunky rebel who slept until noon. She found her twin siblings sitting at the dining table a little over 1PM, their stares glassy and their hands trembling.

Twenty four hours passed and no news came. Their Aunt Mia picked them up after a still frantic Analyn gave her a call. A report was filed with the cops, and the Hayes temporarily stayed with their aunt in the neighboring city. Days passed, then weeks. Richard's disappearance remained a mystery.

Time stretched into months. School resumed, but Robin couldn't care less - especially now that her father was missing. she snuck out frequently, slept over at friends' houses, even dated a boy or two. She immersed herself in a lot of activities, distractions really, but they didn't work.

Robin was a child at heart. She'd seen the movies. She'd seen heroes going off on their own to find the people they loved. That's when she decided: she was going to make her own story. Robin was going to find her father. She snuck out in the middle of the night, out her aunt's window, and wandered off into the monster-infested streets of New York.

A lot of things could've happened. A stray hellhound could have jumped her and swallowed her whole. Kronos' minions could have got to her first and brainwashed her to work in the Titan army. Shady folk in the alleys of New York could have taken advantage of the underage teen frolicking the streets.

But Robin was the daughter of the goddess of luck. And she was definitely lucky, because one of her friends Bruno was a satyr, and he'd been watching over her for a while now. And when he stumbled upon her that night, alone, without the rest of their friends, he finally became certain that the demigod scent he'd been smelling was coming from Robin Hayes.

He took her to Camp Half Blood, and the rest is just starting to unfold.

Appearance:
PLAYED BY: Hayley Williams

With her flaming red hair alone, Robin is sure to turn heads when she walks into a room. She used to be blonde and proud of it, until one of her friends dared her to dye her hair red. Needless to say, the color stuck and she now likes to dye her hair in striking shades of red and orange. More often than not, she styles her hair up in a ponytail to keep it from getting on her face. Her hair is her most outstanding feature, clashing with her pale complexion. She doesn't tan easily despite how light her skin is - a fact Aldrin likes to point out by calling her a vampire.

Robin has a diamond-shaped face that almost always sports wide grin. Her eyes are close-set, partially hidden by her sideswept fringe. A light shade of green, they are almond-shaped and framed with long blonde lashes which she dyes a darker brown to emphasize her eyes. Likewise, her originally blonde thin eyebrows have been dyed red to match her hair. Her broad nose is nothing special, not as eye-catching as her lips. Although not as full as she would have liked, Robin’s lips are quick to stretch in a wide grin. This action, much to her annoyance, exposes her teeth in full view. The gap between her two front teeth bothers her a little. She would have gotten braces if they weren’t so expensive.

Robin stands at 5'1". It's not quite a sore topic, her height. She is used to being small, and she would even make jokes about it, but she often wishes that she was taller. Robin is not as scarred as the other demigods in camp, considering that she had just arrived. She still has a couple of scars from her rough childhood days, climbing trees and all that, but they don't bother her much. She moves around a lot too, and being this way is made all the more easier with her small build. She isn't muscly, but her body type looks okay for her height. Uncannily enough, even with the sheer amount of food she consumes, Robin doesn't gain a lot of weight. It's a blessing, she says. Maybe it's luck.

Personality:
Robin is a rebel. She bends and breaks rules as they come. She doesn't like being caged - this girl needs a healthy room to spread her wings. She likes to have fun in every way possible, and this has led to her having a lot of friends. She is the kind of person who wears her heart on her sleeve and sees the good in everyone. She doesn't care if you smoke, if you made out and did something more with whoever. Your life, your choices. She doesn't judge, and it's one of the reasons why it's so easy for her to make friends.

She would do everything to make her friends happy. She would tell them what they needed to hear even if she had to lie through her teeth, she would cross states if she could just to make them smile, heck she would help the love of her life find his soulmate even if it wasn't her - really, one would think that her life goal was making other people happy. She's a pretty extreme person with just as extreme ways of doing things, and would not think twice in tiptoeing into other people's businesses if she thinks it's for the best. However, Robin doesn't like it when people meddle in her life, and it's one of the things that could really piss her off.

Robin is impulsive both in words and actions. It takes her brain a while to catch up with her mouth and words tend to carelessly roll off her tongue before she even thinks about them. Robin lacks tact, and often she is found blurting out a hundred apologies for a hurtful remark she didn't realize was hurtful until it was said. She does and says the first thing that comes to mind. With the odds usually in her favor, Robin has developed the mindset that she can get away with anything without regard for consequences.

Shy is the last word anyone would use to describe Robin, as she is not the kind to keep to herself even among strangers. She would let out side-comments, the most random ones in fact, just to keep a conversation going. Robin's mind is not a one-way street - it's full of crossroads and overpasses. Thoughts that race through her mind are like speeding cars on a highway. One moment she can be talking about a Math class and in the next she could be asking why there is no such thing as magic wands. Robin is an unpredictable ball of energy that literally zooms around the place, and may the gods help you if you try to stop her.

Robin can be one of the most cheerful and outgoing people to hang out with, but get on her nerves and she won't be as fun. She has a very short temper and it isn't hard to light up the fuse that will send her going on a rampage. Robin has very little control on herself when she gets angry and it shows. Her impulsiveness multiplies tenfold and she would literally throw tantrums and smash things in her rage, and that's not counting how she would blurt out whatever vengeful thought that fills her mind and at that moment, wouldn't give a care whether she hurts other people or not. After the storm has passed, Robin wouldn't simmer down back to normal for a while. She isn't a forgiving person, and she tends to hold grudges.

One of the reasons why she just explodes with anger is because of how she bottles emotions up inside herself. People usually see her as that happy-go-lucky girl who doesn't have problems when in reality, she is just as troubled as the next person. Even to her closest friends, Robin finds it hard to let out her inner feelings especially negative ones like sadness and fear. She hates to burden people with her problems and sees it fit to just take them in her stride and deal with them on her own. Robin turns to practical jokes and laughter to distract herself from the gray things in her life. She doesn't open up so easily, and very few (if not none) know about her past.

Fatal Flaw:
Robin may get impulsive and cocky, but the one thing that could destroy her is her excessive selflessness that could also be taken as personal loyalty. She'll do anything for others. She'll do whatever it takes to keep them safe and happy, even if she has to destroy herself in the process.

Talents:
Robin seems to be lucky most of the time, which leads to her occasionally pushing her luck (and someday, it will bite her back in the ass). She can sing and play the guitar and piano quite well too. Besides that, she doesn't have any other out-of-the-ordinary talents.

Weapon:
Robin ended up getting a crossbow and celestial bronze-tipped arrows. She doesn't like violence or any kind of fighting, and would prefer it if everyone just held hands and rode off into the sunset. Since the chances of that happening are very remote, Robin prefers the 'flight' in fight-or-flight, and would much rather escape than risk killing anyone.

Pets:
None.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-round.

Other:
Robin's probably the only light in this trio of angst

APHRODITE | SEVENTEEN
name. jonathan wyatt adams.
age. seventeen.
gender. male.
birthday. march 1st.
godly parent. aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty.
claimed. yes. during his first summer at camp, aphrodite's blessing came while he was dining at the mess hall with the rest of the undetermined campers.

Mortal Family:
WINSTON HAYLES. At 26, Winston Hayles was on his way to stardom. He got the looks, the charm and the confidence to be every woman's dream. A great actor, Winston was already climbing the ladder to be a Hollywood star. He would have gotten it too, if he hadn't caught the heart of the Greek goddess Aphrodite. They began to date, and such was Winston's love and attraction for Aphrodite that he proposed marriage within a year. He didn't know that he was in love with a Greek goddess. So naturally, the goddess refused, leaving the young man's heart crushed and broken. He was even more hurt when Aphrodite stopped seeing him for his sake. Winston's career took a turn for the worst as he sank into depression. He started drinking and smoking. Then suddenly, he found himself, with his head pounding from a hangover, opening the door of his home to reveal a baby boy waiting for him there. The moment his eyes saw the baby, Winston Hayles knew that the child was his and Aphrodite's. He tried to take care of the boy, whom he named Jonathan, but his attempts were futile. He had no idea how to be a parent. It didn't help that Jonathan very much reminded him of his past lover. A mere glance at Jonathan triggered unhelpful memories in Winston's mind, and he knew that he couldn't bear to live with this kid, even if he loved him so much. Thinking it was for the best, Winston left Jonathan in an orphanage in New York when he was around a month old. Jobless and depressed, Winston returned to his vices. He died a month later, committing suicide.

HAYDEN ADAMS. As Jonathan's adoptive father, Hayden Adams raised Jonathan as if he were his own son. He worked as a civil engineer and had just retired about a year ago. Hayden lost his battle with lung cancer the same time Camp Half Blood was struggling with the zombie apocalypse.

KARLA ADAMS. Hayden's wife Karla Adams had been the first to spot the shy boy in the orphanage. From the moment she laid eyes on the young Jonathan, she knew that this was the boy she wanted to call her son.

Years in Camp:
Five.

History:
Jonathan spent three years in the orphanage when a childless elderly couple took a liking to him. Hayden and Karla Adams viewed Jonathan as the child of their dreams. Jonathan loved them from the get-go, and pretty soon he was accepted into the kind family. He grew up to be a nice and well-mannered young man with the guidance of his adoptive parents. He knew that he was adopted, and still hopes that one day he would be able to find out who his father is.

It was in his adolescent and teenage years when Jonathan faced his heartbreaks.

The first one was when he was twelve. Being the shy gentleman he was, Jonathan took weeks planning to ask out a close friend of his. He wasn't one of the popular kids--rather he was the kid who always quietly sat in the back. A few months later, on Valentine's Day, Jonathan bought a rose for the girl and got ready to actually ask her out, when he learned that she was already seeing someone. Jonathan tried to hide the pain, letting everyone think he was okay with that. But he wasn't. Jonathan was in too deep. It took him a year to get over the girl.

Then he started to like the girl's best friend. Learning from his mistakes, Jonathan took the chance to ask her out quickly. His class was surprised to see the shy boy muster up his courage to ask someone out. To his joy, he was accepted and soon enough they started dating. The relationship lasted barely a year, until the girl dumped him. Even if she told him that he was a nice guy and that they just didn't seem to match, Jonathan was still really hurt. But, like before, he chose to hide his true feelings and just shrug it off like it was no big deal. It took him two years to finally let go, and within those two years he found his way to camp with the help of an old satyr.

That was when his last girlfriend came. They lasted for half a year, until Jonathan found out that she was cheating on him. He broke up with her quickly. Jonathan then realized in the next few days, through the help of his friends, that the girl was pretty much manipulating him from the start. He was so hurt to hear that, but like always, he made it look like he wasn't really affected.

After that, he didn't really trust love anymore. Up to this day, he finds it ironic that a son of the goddess of love could experience so much pain through love.

Appearance:
PLAYED BY: Joe Brooks

Being a son of Aphrodite, Jonathan is naturally blessed with good looks. He can pass off as cute and boyish, considering the absence of facial hair thanks to frequent shaving. Well, like most of his siblings, Jonathan does give a care about his appearance and especially his face. Girls have been known to swoon over his face (mostly in secret, but that's beside the point) and he tries not to let it get to his head. If, let's say, Jonathan auditions for a modeling career, he would most likely be considered for his looks and height - a whopping 6'1". While Jonathan's frame looks fit for his height, he doesn't pack a lot of muscle and lacks the toned chest that usually comes with famous male models.

Jonathan's hair is of a dark shade of brown, though it can fool the eyes and look light-colored under intense sunlight. It is usually swept to his right and cut short enough to only reach the collar of his polo shirt. It is sleek to the touch and he won't admit that he uses a generous amount of hair products to style it. "Don't blame me," he would say, "I think it runs in my blood."

The most distinguishing feature on Jonathan's oval-shaped face is his eyes - standing out with an odd jade green color. They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul and that you can usually tell what one is feeling just by staring into his eyes, but the son of Aphrodite has grown so used to hiding his emotions that he can make his green orbs look rather unreadable if he wants to. Often, these eyes are the things that reel the girls in, which is why he tries as much as possible not to emphasize them and may wear shades just to do so. Jonathan wants to be liked for his attitude, not his appearance.

Jonathan isn't picky when it comes to clothes and will go with a regular shirt, jeans and sneakers any day. However, he isn't averse to wearing things like tuxedos to fit the occasion and secretly likes the way he looks in one because it can certainly make him look a damn shade nicer than usual. If it's pretty cold out, Jonathan puts on his favorite black leather jacket, a gift from his adoptive mother. Though the jacket looks a little rugged and worn out from overuse, he doesn't mind at all and will continue to wear it without a care.

Personality:
Jonathan is sweet and quite the gentleman. He pretty much cares for everyone, even if that person is merely a stranger walking across the street. Selflessness is his middle name, and he will go out of his way to help people out if needed. He is one of the rare types of people in the world who will race towards a burning building and rescue a stranger without missing a beat. This kindness is why some people take advantage of him when they get the chance. Jonathan is quick to be manipulated just by threatening those he loves and by making him feel guilty if he doesn't follow through. This is why his selflessness can cause him more pain despite the fact that it's more of a good of a thing. When he puts others' well-beings miles before his, he is ultimately destroying himself in the long run.

He inherited his father's looks and charm, and coupled with Aphrodite's traits, he can be quite the lady killer. In fact, he could be, if he wasn't so shy and quiet. He has little to no flirting skills, which is quite surprising for someone who is a child of Aphrodite. However, one thing that gets the ladies (barring his looks) is the fact that he usually listens rather than talks. Jonathan doesn't even need to work hard to be interested. By developing a sincere caring attitude to people, he has long mastered the art of empathizing with one's problems and lending not only one ear but two good ones to people who need them.

Jonathan hardly ever gets angry. With his patience, he has been known to remain calm and controlled even in a stressful situation. He rarely yells back even if people start to shout insults at him. It is even more uncommon to see him actually deliver a physical blow to someone even if he has already been hurt by that person. Jonathan has been an easy bully target in his childhood years because he doesn't fight back. However, he directs all the anger he works hard to control to himself, and he usually believes himself to be the one at fault in situations that directly involve him. Jonathan lives in the world of "what if's" and sometimes he wonders what would have happened if he had decided to strike back. But then, he starts feeling guilty for just even considering the thought and quickly forgets about it... for the time being.

Jonathan has great control over his emotions. He is the type of person who will hide his pain rather than let anybody know about it. While he easily trusts people, he isn't quick enough to confide in them his emotions and those are about the only things he keeps to himself. Jonathan is actually a decent liar. But he doesn't lie for his own good. If he thinks it's for the better, he will lie. If he thinks that you're better off not knowing things, he'll keep his mouth shut and take it to the grave.

Due to the zombie apocalpyse and the loss of his adoptive father, Jonathan has become more secluded than usual, preferring to be alone with his thoughts. He may be polite, but his smiles are forced and the genuine ones are scarce, if not extinct. How else was he supposed to feel? He lost a couple of siblings plus the man he grew up calling his father. Cut him some slack.

Fatal Flaw:
Jonathan bottles up emotions like pain and suffering and rarely opens up about them to others. It makes him feel like he is burdening them with his problems, but he doesn't realize that in doing so, he is slowly destroying himself.

Talents:
CHARMSPEAKING. It isn't a widespread fact, but Jonathan has a potential in charmspeaking. He doesn't know that he has his power, but he unconsciously uses it...and its use is pretty much random so Jonathan can't really tell if he can charmspeak or not. Maybe he'll learn to control it someday, but how could he when he doesn't even know his own strength?

(Note: This character was made before charmspeaking was banned as a character power. Don't worry though. He'll never know about this little talent.)

LOVE RADAR. Jonathan can also tell if a person is in love with someone just by staring into their eyes for a certain duration of time. He can't tell who they love though, only that they are in love.

COMBAT SKILLS. Jonathan isn't a fan of fighting, but if he needs to, he is great with a sword and doesn't really use anything else.

Weapon:
Jonathan has a three-foot long celestial bronze sword, Rixus. When not in use, Rixus turns into a necklace he always wears. The silver pendant of this necklace bears a dove symbol, also engraved in the hilt of his sword.

Pets:
None.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-round.

Other:
None.

HEMERA | SEVENTEEN
name. charles allen newman.
age. seventeen.
gender. male.
birthday. april 10th.
godly parent. hemera, goddess of day.
claimed. yes.

*under my skin

Mortal Family:
THOMAS HENRY NEWMAN. A cowboy who inherited the ranch from his parents before him, he met Hemera when he took a leisurely stroll on horseback, and he swore that she was the most dazzling woman he had ever seen. A brief yet meaningful relationship bloomed between them which Thomas never wanted to end, but after she bore him a son she came clean about her true identity - a fact that both wowed and scared Thomas, causing him to keep it a secret until the time was right.

DELIA ELISE WHEELER. A journalist hailing from New York, she took a well-earned vacation in Montana and ended up in a summer fling that turned more serious than what was intended. After marrying Thomas, she resigned from her post to settle down in the ranch, helping raise Charles and having the twins Scott and Denise.

SCOTT TIMOTHY NEWMAN and DENISE MARIE NEWMAN. Roughly nine years younger than Charles, the twins are a boisterous pair who never run out of energy. They enjoy pulling their half-brother's leg, much to his chagrin.

Years in Camp:
Two.

History:
The ranch was the only life Charles had known. Located in Clyde Park, Montana, the 5000-acre ranch was where Thomas Newman single-handedly brought up his son for the first seven years of his life. Charles was taught to work as soon as he could talk. In fact, he made a better cowboy than a student, and he didn't give as much importance to school as the ranch. He rode his first horse at seven years old, and herded cattle on horseback at nine. The time he started horseback-riding was also the time Delia Wheeler entered his life. Within the year, Thomas married her.

He never much liked Delia, to be honest. She came home from New York and the country life never suited her, and until now he doesn't understand why his father married her. Charles never knew what happened to his real mother, and every time he asked his father he would only get a wistful sigh and a sad smile in reply. 'She was as radiant as the sun,; Thomas would always say, and that was it. Yet from the way Thomas looked at Delia, Charles never got the impression that she captured his heart the same way his mother did. Nevertheless Delia showered him with love and affection, tried to be the mother he never had. She bore the twins a year after the wedding, twins that captured Charles' heart from the get-go. Delia hardly did work around the ranch, satisfying herself with housework, but Charles saw the faraway look in her eyes when she thought no one was looking - it spoke of an inner loneliness, almost like regret.

Five years - that was how long it took for Thomas and Delia's marriage to fall apart. The adults handled it surprisingly well. Delia went back to New York, bringing the twins with her. Scott and Denise would spend summers in the ranch, times which Charles both anticipated and dreaded.

When Charles turned fifteen, strange things cropped up. For instance, as he rode his trusty steed Thunder up a mountain trail, he spotted a herd of wild horses and heard voices of drunken men. Upon closer look, he saw that the horses were men - rather, they were half of each - and he steered Thunder back to the ranch as fast as he could. During another time, as he watched over the cattle grazing, he thought he saw a shadow of a wolf in the trees. He quickly got the cattle to safety, but another look at the supposed wolf had him staring at a dog more than twice a wolf's size, its beady yellow eyes fixed on him.

He soon told his father this, which finally prompted Thomas to disclose the secret hidden for years. He gave him the talk... the demigod talk. Within the year, despite Charles' protests, Thomas flew him to camp. Until now, he resents his father for it.

Appearance:
PLAYED BY: Jeremy Irvine

At an average height of 5'10", Charles is younger than he looks. He slicks his brown hair up to keep it out of his blue eyes, which are arguably his best quality. His nose is big and his chin juts out a little too much, making him a little self-conscious. He has a slight stubble on his chin which he frequently forgets to shave. Despite spending so much time outdoors, Charles doesn't easily tan; perhaps his skin is indifferent to the sun, with Hemera being his mother, but it is a little rough from all the work he spent his life doing. His hands are calloused and his fingernails are usually grimy. All the work paid off though. It made him diligent, and it built muscles on his arms and legs but he doesn't like showing them off, instead wearing coats or shirts one or two sizes bigger and cargo shorts large enough to reach below his knees.

Personality:
It's the life at the ranch that toughened Charles up and rendered him more mature than most others his age. Years of waking up at the crack of dawn and starting the day's chores molded him into a hard worker. A good follower, he is rather serious at what he does and won't tolerate any tomfoolery when it comes to his job. One can almost say that he is a workaholic. Charles isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and he won't take a break until the task is done.

Charles always has to be doing something - even if it's cleaning the stables, feeding the animals, or other things the average teenager would cringe at the mere thought of doing. Time is precious to him and he absolutely hates wasting it. He has so much patience for someone his age. He could milk cows for hours and you wouldn't hear a single complaint.

Due to his busy schedule, both at home and in camp, Charles doesn't have a lot of friends. The fair few he considers as such would have to deal with a no-nonsense guy with hardly a life out of his work. Charles is courteous and respectful but on one hand, he is the ultimate killjoy. He is nearly worse than a parent when it comes to being protective. Some would say that he has no sense of adventure, but Charles views it as staying safe. He really does care for his friends, and that's why he tries to stop them from wasting their lives. He's not used to openly showing affection though - even hugs are awkward for him - and he has a hard time showing how he really feels.

Fatal Flaw:
He bottles up his emotions so damn hard. Whatever he feels he locks it in and throws away the key. That's why he's rarely seen angry or sad - he throws himself into work to distract himself and it's one of the reasons why he doesn't want to sit idle. Confronting his own emotions is something he just can't stand, and he fears it will break him.

Talents:
HORSEBACK-RIDING. Charlie is a fairly skilled rider due to all the horseback-riding he'd done to help manage the ranch. He has also gotten pretty good at lassoing.

He has no demigodly talents that he knows of, but he's fine with that.

Weapon:
A celestial bronze sword he has yet to come up with a name for. When not in use, it turns into a bracelet. He wants to learn how to fight on horseback, but he doesn't want to put the horse in danger so he dissuades himself from doing so.

Pets:
Back in the ranch, he owns a three-year-old palomino he named Thunder. While he yearns to have Thunder with him in camp, he fears that it is too dangerous for the horse to live with him (also, it would be so expensive to bring the horse in all the way from Montana). Instead, he befriends a few horses in the stables and grows close to a five-year-old paint horse the campers call Bucker - so called because of his tendency to buck off anyone who tries to ride him. Charles does not own Bucker, but he's one of the select few the horse does not buck off.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-round.

Other:
None.

HERMES | SIXTEEN
name. nicholas aiden smythe.
age. sixteen.
gender. male.
birthday. november 2nd.
godly parent. hermes.
claimed. no.

*under my skin

Mortal Family:
KRIS LAURIE SMYTHE. Kris had always been an adventurous spirit. Fresh out of high school, she embarked on a journey around the world, paid for by her parents on the condition that she would start working in the family business after one year. The Smythes owned a small shopping mall in Glendale, Arizona and truth be told, Kris didn't want to work there. She scoured the world for opportunities that could somehow change her parents' mind. While making a stop in Greece, Kris met a man that embodied all her wishes - Hermes. It was a brief romance cut short when Kris had to return to the US. Roughly nine months later, Nicholas was born.

KRISTIN LORETTA SMYTHE-NEVILLE. Kris' older sister by five years was the expected heir to the family enterprise, and it was to her that the unexpected things happened. At 19 she married her high school sweetheart Marcus - much to her parents' outrage - and moved to Phoenix to start her new life. She maintained contact with her younger sister Kris and when Nicholas was born, was the first to rush to her sister's aid. She was Nicholas' second mother and cared for him as her own son.

MARCUS COLBI NEVILLE. Despite marrying at an early age, Marcus pursued further studies in the University of Phoenix while also working part-time there as a condition for his scholarship. He had only just earned his bachelor's degree in accounting when Nicholas was born, soon followed by Martin. Marcus was Nicholas' only uncle and became the closest thing to a father figure to the boy.

MARTIN PHILLIP NEVILLE. Born seven months after Nicholas, Martin became his constant playmate and partner-in-crime. More than once they were mistaken as brothers because of how close they were to each other.

Years in Camp:
Zero.

History:
Returning to the states after her world tour, Kris Smythe tried to make good on the promise she made to her parents - keyword being tried. Her passion lay in writing, an activity her parents dismissed as impractical. Additionally, she did not have the temperament of a businesswoman. Kris was impulsive, impatient, and thought with her heart instead of her brain - all three characteristics landing her a baby nine months after her return.

To the disappointment of her parents, Kris moved out when Nicholas was born, choosing to live in Phoenix. She rented an apartment near her sister Kristin and her husband Marcus, both of whom minded Nicholas - affectionately called Nick - while Kris juggled jobs. Meanwhile, the shopping mall that was the family business slowly died even without Kris' help, faced with giants like Walmart and Target, leaving Kris no choice but to find employment elsewhere.

As a toddler, Nick seemed like your average boy. He and his cousin Martin were practically joined at the hip, doing everything together. It wasn't until he started attending school that anyone realized something was wrong.

Nick couldn't read, no matter how hard he tried. Plus, it drove his teacher crazy trying to get him to try - Nick always got distracted by the slightest things. A trip to a child psychiatrist confirmed the two disorders demigods were known for - dyslexia and ADHD. He frequently got held back and forced to repeat a year because he just couldn't learn as quickly as the other kids. Soon he was called different kinds of names - Dumbo, Dimwit and Freak among many others - and no one dared come near because they thought he might be contagious. Kris couldn't afford to send him to a special school tailored to his needs, so Nick was forced to endure it day by day. Granted, not everyone bullied him, but not many wanted to associate with him either.

When Nick was fifteen, still in seventh grade, he had enough. He was being held down by a couple of kids who would've been his classmates had he not repeated a few grades. They half-dragged him, forcing him towards the toilets to dunk his head in, when he finally chose to fight back. He took his tormentors by surprise when he aimed a strong kick at the leader and sent him toppling down the stairs. The bully had been knocked out, and blood pooled by his head. Of course, Kris was brought in to discuss the matter, and on the ride home she berated Nick for the stunt that he pulled.

But because she paid more attention to scolding her son than the road, her car swerved and smashed into a ten-wheeler.

Luckily, both of them survived, but barely. Nicholas survived with a couple of broken bones and lacerations, while Kris ended up in a coma.

Nick went to live with his aunt and uncle, visiting his unconscious mother when he could. Soon he overheard the heart-breaking news the doctor told his aunt - that his mother had little chance of waking up and it would be kinder to cease treatment before the hospital bills pile up. At first Kristin was adamant, but soon it was apparent that the money earned by her husband only barely covered their daily sustenance, what more the hospital bills? Not wanting his mother to die, Nicholas looked for ways to make fast money, and that was when he got roped into a gang.

At first it wasn't so bad. It gave him a sense of belonging, and he made big money for simply being a lookout for drug trafficking schemes. Then he got bigger jobs - actually delivering the stuff himself, or dealing it - but Nick convinced himself that this was for his mother so he just went with it. He also got good at parkour and fighting with a knife. One night, during a turf war, Nick found himself pinning down a member of a rival gang. He had the knife poised to strike but he couldn't bring himself to stab. Sensing his weakness, the other guy threw him off and attacked one of his friends, nearly killing him. Someone else got to him in time, but Nick would always be haunted by the memory of what could have been, an inner conflict he could not resolve.

Shortly after, Nick's gang got involved in another war - one that was not their own. Little did they know that they were facing off against a small band of Kronos' minions, all demigods and monsters trained in combat. Nick watched his friends get slaughtered one by one before the enemies turned to him, and just when he started to lunge, someone knocked him out.

Next thing Nick remembered was waking up on top of a hill, full of bruises and scars, his clothes ripped and his head swimming. It was Half Blood Hill, and little did he know about the danger he had truly become.

Appearance:
PLAYED BY: Cole Sprouse

Nick has blond hair he gets too lazy to cut so it would occasionally reach his neck. It also covers his forehead, curling just slightly to expose his greenish-blue eyes. He has a few small moles on his cheek and neck. At 5'9", Nick used to have a gangly frame but the short time spent in a gang built small muscles on his arms and legs. His skin is fair as he does not spend a lot of time outdoors, and when he does it's under cover of the night. As to dressing style, Nick prefers hoodies over anything.

Personality:
At first glance Nick is a loner. He's not entirely sure how to socialize most of the time, and when he does he rarely talks and attempts to communicate through nods and occasionally smiles. He also developed a sarcastic streak, though it is rare to show as he doesn't spend most of his time talking. He has trust issues, but once people get close to him he becomes loyal to a fault. He is resilient and brave though it is not apparent with the soft heart he hides under a mask of indifference. After his life in a gang, Nick tries to look violent and intimidating but all of it is an act - if it comes to it, he can't bring himself to hurt people especially if they've done nothing to him.

Nick has inherited his mother's impulsiveness and impatience. He has become quite the liar too but that is only one of the many vices he picked up as a gang member, along with smoking and drinking. I guess the one good thing that came out of that experience is that he doesn't judge a book by its cover, mostly because he made friends with people most would have avoided, and they turned out to be great friends who got his back. Nick always has a desire to fit in and struggles for it, and he dislikes the spotlight and attention that comes with being singled out, whether it is for a good reason or bad. More than anything, he just wants to be a normal teenager.

Fatal Flaw:
Recklessness. His bravery paired with his impulsiveness lands him in dangerous situations.

Talents:
PICKPOCKETING. Nick is a child of Hermes although he doesn't know it yet. Of course it comes naturally.

KNIFE-FIGHTING. With his sharp reflexes, he has gotten fairly skilled with a knife. He doesn't want to use anything else.

PARKOUR. It was only recently that he honed this talent because as a son of Hermes, he had the potential but didn't know it. Nick can to a certain extent scale buildings and jump over fences without falling flat on his face. He is far from being a professional but for someone his age, he does well enough.

Weapon:
He will soon get celestial bronze knife he straps to his thigh for convenience.

Pets:
None.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-round.

Other:
None.
