baking cupcakes is always a good idea [open]

Echo just couldn't sleep. The memories of her mom kept coming back to her. She thought about her as she laid in her bunk staring at the ceiling. She couldn't call her out of fear to see how she was doing. She loved her of course, but she just couldn't. All this thinking of her reminded her of the cupcakes her mother always made her. She smiled as she thought of an idea.

Echo had thrown on a sweatshirt still in her pajamas before making her way towards the Mess Hall. She had practically ran towards it considering she didn't want to get caught from the harpies. She knew Chiron would get mad at her for making cupcakes at one o'clock in the morning. She couldn't blame him, but she didn't have anything else to do. And anyway, she could always lie and say she was helping out and she had been bored. She doubted he would believe that, but she couldn't have cared less.

When Echo arrived at the Mess Hall, it was completely empty. She couldn't hear a sound other then her converse tapped the floor. She made her way over to the kitchen where she immediately found all the ingredients she needed. She mixed them together in a big bowl and poured it into the cupcake tray. She put them into the oven before turning around to see someone waiting there. Had they been there the whole time? "Um hi." She couldn't have imagined how dumb she looked right then. "I'm just um baking some cupcakes. You can help if you want." She offered before starting to bake another batch of cupcakes. She knew it was probably a terrible idea to let a stranger bake cupcakes with her, but this was Echo and she'd be willing to make cupcakes with anyone just to make a new friend.
