Christopher lets out a sigh as he kicks off his navy blue vans, leaving them on the edge of the pier. Peeling off his socks he folds them before placing them beside the shoes. Finally he rolls up the legs of his jeans, cuffing them off just a few inches below the knees. Slowly he sits down on the edge of the dock, his feet grazing the water below him. As his feet touch the water, a small smile spreads across his face.
Out of all the places in camp, the lake might be his favorite it's just so peaceful. It's not usually something you'd think he would care about, but even the loud people need some peace and this is Christopher's peace. When it's about five o'clock in the morning, the lake is absolutely perfect. There's no one around to disturb the quiet, and the light is just beginning to dance across the surface of the water.
Smiling, he turns to his bag and takes out his silver iPhone 6 and his navy blue beats. He pulls the headphones over his ears as he picks up the phone. He immediately goes to his music app, the only reason he even bothers owning an iPhone. Pretty soon he's consumed himself with selecting songs for a playlist that he's titled relaxation. A somewhat ironic title, he loves mixing songs trying to find perfect combinations.
Usually Christopher has trouble staying so focused on something, but lately he's discovered music is a great way to start alert. He has to pay plenty of attention, which has proven to be good. But the one thing that still troubles him is the inability to go about undisturbed. It's when he feels someone tapping on his shoulder, that Christopher wants to loose it.
Turning around, he aggressively yanks his headphones down as he looks up at the person. "You have two seconds, otherwise get lost"he tells them, his voice cold. He doesn't even bother to see who it is, he doesn't care. All he knows is that he was bothered, and no one is getting away with that. What type of person decides to go up to someone who is obviously busy and tap them on the shoulder? A moron.
happy to see how far i've come to the same place it began my dreams and imagination perfectly at peace so i move along a bit higher

Son of Euterpe
Waking up early was not something that David Martin did very often. At least, not five-in-the-morning early. He usually gets up in a timely manner around 8:30-9, depending on how he was feeling. But five thirty was definitely really early. Yet, it seemed almost impossible for him to fall back asleep once his eyes were open. He laid in bed staring at the ceiling for about five minutes before his impatience got to him and he could sit still no longer. He slipped out of bed and threw on some clothes that probably weren't what he was going to wear for the day, but just for a little while. The camp was very still and quiet, the day mostly dark. The sun had not yet risen, but the moon was setting, and through his window came a violet hue from the black-turn-blue sky. Once he'd gotten on basketball shorts and a tank, he put on some slip-on shoes and padded out of the cabin.
Once he got into the morning air, he felt a sort of tugging sensation. It was the same feeling that had gotten him out of bed, and, since he had risen so early and had no responsibilities yet, decided to indulge his sub-conscience. He walked over the dewy grass, his arms floating lightly by his sides, testing the air's humidity. It was fairly light, but there was no breeze so it wasn't exactly cool. He was glad for his clothing choice. As he walked, he lost track of where exactly he was going and soon found himself about fifty yards from the lake. And his eyes caught sight of a boy at its edge.
People often talk about how cool it would be to have a twin. Everyone believed there to be a stronger connection between twins than anything- a sixth sense, if you will. Some sort of telepathic power could alert one twin how the other was feeling, or their whereabouts. Such an idea seemed slightly far-fetched, but the truth was: there was some validity to it. It was probably just the unique way of thinking, but more than once David and Chris have ended up at the same place without prior communication.
David approached his brother slowly, and when he arrived next to him he gave a small tap on the shoulder, to ask if he could join him sitting at the lakeside. But he was greeted with not a salutation but an insult. He canted his head to the side, giving his twin a slightly upset look.
"You're going to shoo me away? I wanted to ask if I could join you."

Christopher picks up his iPhone and pauses the current song, Fall Out Boy's Young Volcanoes. Setting the phone on the dock, he removes the headphones from around his neck and places them on top of the phone. He then tilts his head back, so he's able to see his brother without having to turn around. Yes, he's that annoyed that he's not going to bother even turning to face David. Not only is he annoyed at him for disturbing him, since they've been at camp they have never acted like brothers so why should he bother now?
"Really?"he asks as he raises an eyebrow, faking excitement. That might be the first time he's heard his twin ask that, he's never really tried to be his brother. At least not at camp, he's too busy with being a cabin leader. Taking care of kids that aren't even their siblings, too good for his own twin. Letting out a sigh, he slowly scoots over moving his phone with him.
Unfortunately for Christopher he can't force himself to stay mad at David, even though he wants to do nothing more. "Go ahead"he says quietly as he looks out at the lake. For a few minutes he sits there, just silently staring at the water. He's debating just diving in, but he doesn't have a towel so he decides that he'd better not. He'll talk to David, and if it gets too unbearable then he'll jump in.
Turning his head he watches his brother for a few seconds before opening his mouth. "Care to tell me why you're suddenly taking an interest in sibling bonding?"he asks his tone dripping with heavy sarcasm as he lets out a short laugh. Sibling bonding, the last time he bonded with his twin was before they came to camp. He doesn't mean to sound so bitter, so ungrateful it's just a natural instinct. He blames his anger on David for abandoning him, but really it's his own fault he's just too damn stubborn to admit it.
