Half-Blood’s Name: Noor Abelló
Age/Birthday: Range: 16
Gender: Nonbinary (demigirl); prefers they/them pronouns but isn't (entirely) opposed to she/her
God Parent: Homonoia (spirit of concord, unanimity, and oneness of mind)
Claimed: Yes
Mortal Family: Lives with their mother (Kaur), grandma (Fiora, or just Abuela), aunt (Mala), uncles (Daria & Kiran), and cousins (Cosima, Anuja, & Dante)
Years in Camp: 2
Brief History: Noor lives with their mom and a few members of their extended family, all of which are of Indian/Spanish descent (not to mention extremely loud with a tendency to smother them). Their powers developed when they were still in elementary school and they learned pretty early on how to tune peoples' thoughts out – they still tend to intrude on them when they're too relaxed or in an unstable emotional/mental state. Their first run-in with monsters left them deaf in one ear, and a bad Quest took their leg.
Physical Appearance: Olive skin, large dark eyes, and black hair kept pretty short. It doesn’t go past their shoulders, and they usually keep it in some sort of braid/ponytail/updo. They're a little tall for their age, but not by much. They have a hearing aid in their left ear and a prosthetic leg from a Quest.
Personality: Genuinely likes other people but frequently feels inadequate in conversation and rambles (like A LOT). Tends to be SUPER emotionally repressed and therefore is prone to bouts of snappy moodiness that end with a lot of hurt feelings (usually not their own). They have absolutely no self-preservation instinct whatsoever. Noor is also terrible at keeping secrets and they’re a pretty decent singer.
Fatal Flaw: Basically emotionally constipated (comes with a lifetime of hearing people say one thing and think another)
Pets: Coral snake (Dolce)
Talents: Socializing, playing the drums, voice impressions, and mathematics
Weapons: Really big shield
Year-Round or Summer: Summer (their family would probably have a collective heart-attack if they quit school)
Other: Due to their first monster encounter, Noor is completely deaf in their left ear (her family uses a lot of asl at home); they also has a prosthetic leg (right).
