you need to lower your standards
CAUSE IT'S NEVER GETTING ANY BETTER THAN THIS
Louis could almost feel the gravity on his shoulders. He could feel it pushing him down, pressing the weight of the sky onto his back. His eyes felt heavy. He longed to shut them for a short while. Just a nap was all Louis required. The flight from Florida, plus car ride that spent most of it's time just sitting in traffic, had exhausted him. He was used to traveling, but something about this time made him feel worse. It might have been the fact that he'd stayed up until three the night before, partying with his old school friends. It had seemed like a good idea at the time, just to relax and unwind by drinking himself sick with his mates. Now that his head throbbed like it needed the attention, he hadn't regretted anything more.
Louis was nearing the Hermes cabin. The lights were still on and he could hear the chatter of his siblings. The weight of his bag and the feeling of gravity made the door seem miles away. He very slowly shoved his feet across the lawn of the courtyard, wincing with every step. He forced his body to move. He was so close to that nap.
That's when Louis heard a noise behind him. There were a few campers scattered across the lawn, but he hadn't seen any near him. He turned around quickly, fearing what he would see. It was just a habit of his that being a demigod had made him adapt. He had to be prepared for anything.
"Oh, hello."

Connie hadn't been at camp too long, and in the time she had been here she hadn't met many people. Outside of one event where she helped a new camper get into camp, she hadn't really done anything either. She had been in 'recovery', meaning that she didn't have any activities she had to go to, or anything to do. This meant that she was bored. Really bored. So, after spending most of one morning in bed, she gave herself a goal. She was going to get out into camp and make a friend. The thought of her plan horribly backfiring had crossed her mind more than once, but she steeled her nerves and walked outside.
Connie wandered aimlessly around in the courtyard for about 10 minutes before she got lost in thought. Not watching where she was going at all, she tripped over a loose tile and landed face first right behind another camper. Groaning and pushing herself up, she didn't really hear anything more than a mumble from the boy, but noticed a group of blonde haired girls looking in her direction and snickering. "I'm sorry, what?" Connie asked the boy.
